Wow. Snarf's has been around for like 30 years now, and it is so neat that they (Jimmy Seidel) has kept it going and improved it. No longer the grody "Shack" it started out to be (in Boulder way back in '96), Snarf's has kept its hip atmosphere but evolved into a reliable, excellent and fun place to eat all over, and not just in Colorado but hopefully just plain "all over." The A-1 Double burger was delivered freshly grilled, warm and well seasoned. The jalapeños were mildly spicy and added just the right bite. The service was quick and friendly. The dining area has ample setting with tables spaces for private conversations. The dining area was clean and well lit. Hands down my favorite sandwich joint in the Denver Metro area. Been to a few location and while all offer amazing service, this Snarf's sandwich and burger location has the friendliest and most helpful staff and their attitude gives this particular restaurant a chill vibe. The bread is always super fresh tasting and perfectly toasted on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. The bread to filling ratio is always perfect and ingredients are always fresh. Walked next door after the Snarfburger Yelp Elite event and picked myself up a few sandwiches to go. I had a few people to feed at home and this was fast and easy. The building was relatively clean and the staff were very friendly. Minus a slightly standoffish girl wearing a full Covid type mask. I kind of felt like I was bothering her with my order. I wasn't ready to order and she just walked away. It was a very odd interaction. I'm not sure what the entire chemical suit look was all about. I ordered four sandwiches and watched them being made. An African American guy with ink on his arms made them and he made them extremely well. He clearly knew what he was doing and he didn't skimp on ingredients, that's for sure. I've tried most of what they offer but a couple stands out particularly their motherclucker and Italian sandwiches. Their house peppers are to die for and adds a nice little zing to each bite! In the photo was their special which was the Italian but with meatballs and marinara which was amazing. Ok but what about their off menu offerings? Boy get the Mother clucker now! We ordered 4 sandwiches from Snarf's for Grandparents Day at our grandkids school. Door dash did a great job delivering the most disgusting lunch ever. We ordered pickles and they came loosely wrapped in the bag. Unfortunately, the pickles leaked enough juice that all of the sandwiches were soaking wet with pickle juice. It's almost as if someone pored the juice into the bag. Additionally, someone decided that a complete layer of jalapeno peppers should be put on each sandwich. If you bit into this soggy mess of a sandwich it tasted like a jalapeno sandwich. None of us could eat this mess and ended up throwing away $75 worth of inedible food. Snarfs is a local favorite but I have had mixed experiences. My job often orders from there but it seems I always get the wrong sandwich or the sandwich doesn't match the description. The bread is good and the ingredients seem good but as with most Colorado food lacks seasoning. I kept hearing about the wonderful snarf subs and today I finally gave in and looked the place up. Unfortunately there isn't an Aurora location so I made the trek to the nearest one in Denver. As I pulled up right next to the snarfs sandwiches is snarf burgers so I made a B Line to the burger joint. The employees were very friendly and helpful and explained which specialty burger choices could be altered etc.... I was very pleased with the spicy A-1 burger. I'm definitely coming back. Heading to the Broncos game we ordered sandwiches yesterday. Both sandwiches inside our correctly labeled bag were incorrect. Both had mayo and mustard. We ordered ours without. On sandwich was far Hal and another labeled CB. Called the Thornton Snarfs and they gave us the runaround. Said we needed to send a picture to their website, could not find it. This is a great sandwich shop. The parking lot is pretty small but totally worth dealing with to come here. The service is quick and precise. They place all the ingredients with care and it shows while you're eating. Each bite is delicious. The Turkey and Swiss was my favorite.
