What an incredible find!! After a day of showing we were all hot, filthy and starving!! Plus we had our dogs that we couldn't leave while away from the barn. The hostess and waitress at Snatcher's Creekside couldn't have been more accommodating!!They immediately got us a table and brought iced down water for us and our dogs We sat next to the beautiful creek in the shade and quickly had cold draft beers delivered! Although they were SUPER busy they made us feel like the only customers there. We received our food in a very timely manner, despite the crowd, and were frequently checked on. The food was fresh and yummy!! The service and atmosphere couldn't have been better for us and our dogs!! A perfect ending to a great day at Fair Hill!!! First off, this place is really small. If they fill up, they will not take phone orders. Secondly they used to have reasonable prices. I think it was 13/14$ for a cheesesteak and fries. Now with the tax, they want 20$ for an above average cheesesteak. And it is not a big one at that. Also, their kids menu is horrible. I wouldn't recommend this place. Snatcher's is great. I mean, man what a name. Sitting outside gives you not only creek visibility, but also creek sounds. Yes, you get the sounds of a forest stream in the background, which - let's face it - we all find oh so soothing. It's up there with sitting by the window on a lazy summer afternoon with rain lightly pattering outside. That patter, you know the one. The food is, well, it's creek food. Food that you could envision eating by a creek. That means fried haddock, black and bleu bacon cheese burgers, and the driest looking cheese steak I've ever laid eyes on. Oh, and patty melts. If you can look past the mosquitos, which I suppose you could say is part of the charm, then Snatcher's Creekside is a perfect catch. As an added bonus to everything you've just read, I have just three words: off street parking. This is actually huge since the further you go north on Main Street, the parking gets scarce and private lots charge a buttload. Also, how can you not like their motto? "Hey, we're Snatcher's. Found two seats at the bar on a busy Saturday. Cream of crab and a BLT (not on the menu) for me and a she had the chicken salad sandwich as we wanted a lighter meal. Bartender was polite in accommodating an atypical order. Cream of crab was good. My lady loved the chicken salad. I'll try the fried oyster and chicken salad platter next time when hungrier. Did some hiking at Elk Neck State Park, then stopped here for lunch. It's friendly spot that locals go to. Nice menu, competitive prices, easy-going vibe. Hidden gem! We were just driving through looking for a good place to eat and found this place. Seems very local from the other customers. We kinda stuck out as tourists but the food was good. We got a pretzel with some yummy cheese sauce. The tuna nachos were REALLY good definitely recommend getting that! We also tried the crab bites, also good. We shared the crab cake sandwich which was also good. Overall this place did not disappoint. If we were from the area we would go back to try more of the menu!. read more

The snake head fish reuben was the best sandwich in the restaurant, period!!!! We also had a crab pretzel and blackened tuna sandwich, (second best sandwich). Stopped for a Thursday night dinner at 5:30 and it was very busy. We sat outside on the patio. Our server was great. We started with crab bites - 4 mini crab cakes die $10- very good!! I got the chicken salad sandwich and my husband got the turkey reuben. Both were very good and good size portions. Mine came with old bay chips and his with onion rings. We really enjoy going to Snatcher's. They use quality ingredients in there food, the service is excellent, the beer is ice cold, the cocktails are very good, and the atmosphere is comfortably casual. Last night we had the crab imperial stuffed mushrooms and we were very pleased with the amount and quality of real crab meat for $6.00. At many places you pay more for less quality. If Snatchers keeps treating customers like this, they will be around quite a while. The only suggestion we have about the crab imperial stuffing is to maybe add a few ingredients to make the excellent crab a little more dressed up. Not stuffed with fake fillers, but just a little creamier like crab imperial. If those mushrooms were topped with that same crab with a creamy bubbling texture...omg! I 'd be back every night. My nephew had the chicken fingers & they were excellent. We also had the Mac & Cheese bites. Despite looking pre-made (probably frozen) they had excellent taste. I wasn't crazy over the dipping sauce, but I liked the Mac & cheese bites. I think a choice of sauce for those would be nice. I was hoping for home made Mac & cheese bites, but still enjoyed these. On other trips here we had the blackened chicken salad with raspberry dressing, a bacon burger, and the crab pretzel! All were excellent! Oh and one night we tried the cheesesteak and I kid you not it was one of the best tasting cheesesteaks we've ever had!! I found pics from our other visits and added them to this one. read more

We have had many experiences at Snatcher's, I think it's about time I left a review. Snatcher's is a small family owned business that never fails to disappoint. Service is always great. The food is always fantastic. We have yet to have a negative experience at Snatcher's. On a warm evening, we prefer to sit outside next to the creek and enjoy a well priced pint of Loose Cannon overlooking the little stream. I love their specials. We have on multiple occasions ordered the pretzels with cheese and the dip was homemade. It doesn't sound like a big deal but if you've been served your fill of canned nacho cheese, you can appreciate a well made, house crafted dip. I also love their crab melt. As a Marylander for life, I love my crab. Can't get enough. Pathetic crab cakes break my heart. The very thought of crab on an English muffin sounds horrific but somehow, Snatcher's manages to pile on the most tasty lump crab imperial with melted cheese on a toasted English muffin in a way that makes me come back again and again. It is so good. Another classic not to be missed is the hangover burger. They will cook the burger to your choice of temp (which is my personal baseline for restaurants I will return to) and it's got a fried egg and bacon on it. Yes please! I have been seeing a lot of advertisements for this place and thought I would try it. We were greeted when we arrived and our drink order was taken immediately. I ordered the tuna caesar wrap that came with onion rings and the wrap was delicious! The onion rings come with a spicy dipping sauce that I used on my wrap too. All the negative reviews are from a bunch of karens that need to be handled with kid gloves and live miserable sexless marriages with nothing better to do than speak to the manager or cry on yelp about the bad men smoking or the oxidized lettuce edges that ruined their otherwise delightful day of wasting their husbands money on expensive antique trash and fluffies spa day. The food is amazing, they have outdoor seating, and beer on draft. We spent a long weekend in northeast Maryland. We hit every restaurant at least once. Snatchers was one of our favorites. Great Maryland bisque and lovely welcome atmosphere. Our first time there we stopped after dinner for drinks and decided we needed to eat there the next day. It was well worth the second trip and the owner welcomed us back! read more

We went to Snatchers twice (so far) and both times were outstanding! The wait staff has been super attentive and friendly. The food is so good, had the nachos and crab pretzel tonight, both were awesome and an added bonus... Monday's are 1/2 off appetizers till 7:00. Even at full price the prices are great!! We wanted to try something new for a change I had driven past during the summer and had not gotten the opportunity to Eat here until now, there were three in our party, the Girls had A house Cab, I chose a Bottle import beer, which it self is unusual, but I wasn't sure if they had hard liquor. I'll check the next time. So the Girls ordered the Shrimp & Baked Potato, Excellent Potato oven Baked served with all the fixings and about 12 - 21/26 sized Shrimp, again perfectly steamed bright Red Shell. Plenty for tomorrow's lunch, I Ordered the Prime Rib with Crab Imperial w/ Baked potato, again Potato perfectly done, I ordered Medium Steak, came out medium well, the imperial was a little runny could have spent some time in a Salamander or Broiler to crisp it up but the steak was already over done. I did finish the imperial and about 1/3 of steak, (it made an excellent Steak Sandwich with a homemade Horseradish Mayo dressing on a toasted Portuguese roll). We had decaf's with Baileys and Sambuca the Staff was attentive, they all worked well with a Family kinda atmosphere, we'll get back again especially during the winter when the locals need to support our Businesses. read more

This place had so much potential. North East is severely lacking in casual restaurants with above average food. We have been at least a dozen times since they opened. We were SO happy when they first opened. The food was awesome, we had some really great meals here. The price is reasonable, in fact we would gladly pay more. They have great specials and, in general, the service is good. The regular menu and the specials have some great, unique, options. All of which are good and we appreciate the time it takes to come up with new items. Unfortunately, the clientele continues to drag the entire place down. It used to just be overrun by drunks on weekend nights, but it has been getting worse. The restaurant allows it, and even caters to it. People that should have long since been cut off at the bar and asked to leave, continue to be served. They stand in the doorway, flick cigarette butts towards the people sitting outside, scream inside the restaurant and literally stand on the chairs and tables. The waitstaff can barely do their jobs. We stopped taking our kids here midway through the summer, and only went by ourselves during certain times. But it seems there is rarely a good time to go anymore, except maybe breakfast (which is also very good). It's so unfortunate because their menu and food are excellent. read more

I started going here for happy hours and it has been great. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. Very reasonable prices for good food. Their jalapeño poppers are a must! You also can't beat their $5 freshly squeezed crushes! The only minor negative is that while the restaurant is kid friendly and has a menu for them, the clientele is not always. It is a bar so I would expect that in the evening but at noon on a Friday I wish the locals could keep their language a little cleaner. No worries though, my kids know that not everyone is smart enough to express themselves without every other word being a curse word. read more

My husband purchased a Local Flavor Certificate for this restaurant. Before We saw it on Local Flavor we didn't even know it existed. We love trying new things, so we were pretty excited to try a seafood restaurant we had never been to. We've tried just about every seafood restaurant on Main Street in Northeast. We live in Delaware and looked up the hours online before heading out for dinner a little after 8PM. The hours on Google said they close at 10PM. We arrived at about 8:50. Just as we were pulling up we noticed one of the staff members taking down the giant "OPEN" flag that was by the door. I jumped out of the car and walked to the door to make sure they were still open. Perhaps Google was wrong? When I reached the door I noticed the hours written on the front door... it said they close at 10PM on Saturday. I waived to my husband to come on over because they were open. Then I went inside. One of the waitresses passed by me as I walked through the door (The same one that just took down the "open" flag). She didn't say anything. When I got inside the bartender greeted me "Hi, how are you?". I told her I was good and she just continued about her business behind the bar. I was a little confused.. no one was there to take me to a table and I didn't see a sign that said seat yourself. I assumed I had to wait for a server. I stood there a bit dumbfounded as I waited for my husband to get across the road and come inside. The server came back through front door where I was standing. She made eye contact and asked "Can I help you?". I began to question if we were in the right place. Was this even a restaurant? Or just a bar? Usually when you visit a restaurant you're greeted with "Hi, thank you for coming to ____. How many are in your party tonight?" Instead she says "can I help you?" Like I had just wondered in from the street and wasn't supposed to be there. I told her that I was just waiting for my husband to come in and that he had waited in the car because we weren't sure if they were open since we saw her take down the "open" flag. "Oh, yeah." She said "Um, well I think the kitchen just shut down for the night." She then asked the bartender for confirmation. Both were relatively sure the kitchen was closed but the young lady went to the kitchen to double check. Meanwhile my husband came inside. Then the server came out and gave us the news. "Sorry the kitchen is closed for the night." Really? It was 8:50 PM! I asked her if they were supposed to be open until 10PM. She said "Well it was a slow night so the kitchen closed early." She was sweet but didn't quite seem to know how she should respond. "Sorry" She said. I'll be honest I was very frustrated we had driven 30 minutes to a restaurant just to find out they had closed an hour early.I was even more so uncomfortable and embarrassed that several people at the bar were watching as I my husband and I were denied service. We quickly walked out, got in the car and stopped by Olive Garden on the way home, where they were happy to serve us 15 minutes before closing time. This restaurant could benefit from developing better standards for their staff. First and foremost a procedure for greeting and seating customers. Also, I'm baffled that we showed up JUST as the kitchen was making the decision to close and they couldn't make an exception for 2 new customers. Surely they hadn't shut down and cleaned up everything that quick? If I was the owner of this establishment I would be livid that my employees turned anyone away. I would have love to have tried their food. It may be very good but I doubt we'll be returning. While I love supporting local businesses I don't feel like I should have to go so far out of my way to give them my money. read more

Moved in a few weeks back and decided to order food for our family that helped the first night in the house. Found this spot and everyone agreed the menu looked good. Ran over to pick it up and it is a great little spot at the end of Main Street. The waitress that helped us was beyond gracious. I'm honestly quite sad to leave a 2 star review for a local business. To start, once my food was received as ordered, it was good. That's the good part...the only good part. The service was beyond slow. It took 2 hours and 40 minutes from start to finish. We only had salads and 2 drinks a piece on a 4 top. We certainly were in no rush; however, this was painful. I very kindly yet emphatically asked that there be no raw onion on my food. It came out chocked full of raw onion. It took 20 minutes just to get an overly sour Margarita. Our Server was new so we were understanding, even sympathetic. Not once during the painfully slow service did we witness a Manager or Owner perusing the Dining Room or Porch area to observe, chat, or ensure customer happiness. She finally stopped by for approximately 30 seconds to apologize and throw her new server under the bus instead of asking about the issues. She did offer us each a gift card...as if. All in all, it was a very underwhelming experience. read more

I had the 10 wing Garlic Parmesan special for $4.50! Wanted to try the steamer clams but was too full! My server Jill was so attentive & pleasant! This is really a hit or miss restaurant. My family and I have been there at least 8 or 9 times, Sometimes the food is fabulous, sometimes it comes out cold and/or overcooked. Yesterday we went and it took forever for our jalapeño hush puppies to come out and they were way too dark and unappealing. The waitress never came back to check on our drinks. When our crabcake sandwiches came out, which is what three of us ordered, The roles were hard as rocks, the lettuce was brown around the edges and the tomatoes look like they had been sitting on a hot counter dried out. My sister got buffalo wings and they tasted good but even the waitress recognized that she had brought naked wings instead of breaded wings like we ordered. On another occasion when we got our crab cake covered with cheese the cheese was actually cold and coagulated by the time it got to the table. My husband got a prime rib sandwich that had more fat in it then actual meat and he just decided to stop trying to eat it because it was so chewy. Withthat said, this is the only time that we've had laxed service from the waitstaff. I have been at this restaurant and had the best Reuben, Fabulous hamburgers, and our family's favorite buffalo cheese balls. I'm not really sure if we will go back again or not because right now we are at a 50-50 chance on how our food is going to turn out. read more
