I don't have the words to describe how incredibly grateful I am to Katelin! My 13 year old dog had bilateral enucleation a few months ago (both his eyes were removed due to glaucoma). I liked the reviews on yelp and decided to try Snazzy Pet. I normally wash my dogs myself, but my senior, almost 17, is sensitive to touch and I thought a professional grooming wound be better. I have another senior I thought could benefit, as well. I was right. I reached out to Katelin via text. I can only do Saturday's. She got right back to me and was able to squeeze me the next Saturday and kept in touch with reminders and "on the way." Very helpful. Jennifer arrived for the grooming and was professional and VERY sweet and gentle. She obviously cares! She washed , brushed them and cut their nails. Doesn't get much easier than this... As the owner of three dogs with one dog who was absolutely petrified to be groomed, this was a great find. My bf's parents have their dogs groomed by Katelin and highly recommended her to me. I knew she had to be good if they like her. I shot Katelin a text and received a response within minutes. Katelin has been grooming my pup, Lucky, for over four years now. She is always pleasant to be around and my pets trust her. Lucky (min-pin mix) used to freak out because she's hyper but Katelin has formed a good bond with her so there's trust now. Lucky never let me cut her nails so Katelin was a blessing in disguise. I'd like to update my review to make it clear that my dog has NEVER BEEN COMPLETELY SHAVED. He had 3 mats cut out from his old groomer on his neck area which took a year to grow back, this is why I specifically told Katelin absolutely no cutting or shaving. He has NEVER ever been shaved and I'm not even sure where this claim came from. I would never neglect my dog and this being brought up as an excuse for the abuse he endured is wild. This was our second groom with Katelin and this second visit, she up-charged with the claim that he had excess undercoat- which is something that isn't right as our new groomer has explained and I never wanted a de-shedding. The price increase wasn't based on his weight as is written below because I had already paid the 85lb pricing the first time we booked. Full review below: This review is long overdue but today I received the confirmation I needed to move forward. I am not someone who ever likes to leave poor reviews on a small business, but this was absolutely necessary to save other dog owners from the experience I had. My dog was groomed in September and was left with severe coat damage which I was told would take 6 months to a year to recover and was clearly done by someone who has no idea what they're doing (or tried to take a shortcut) when it comes to grooming double coated breeds. Firstly, I was over and up-charged for his service with the claim that he had a lot of undercoat and was matted (which was not true). She was very rude and talked down to me when telling me she'd have to charge more. I'm anticipating her claiming that he was matted, which I would like to make clear here he was not. Double coated breeds are supposed to have undercoat. It's what keeps them insulated. Any groomer should know this. When I brought my dog inside after the service, he was EXTREMELY stressed and lacking personality. I have never seen him like this in the 2+ years he's been on this planet. He was panting heavily and very clingy, which is extremely unlike him so I knew something had gone array. I started to check him out when I noticed a huge red inflamed bald spot on his side where his fur was clearly yanked out which is bigger than the size of my hand. I also noticed that he was over-brushed on his back, left with bleeding spots, bloody tongue, and you could see his skin- which is a huge NO NO for a double-coated dog. I texted Katelin immediately and she claimed that she didn't notice that that had happened or she would have said something. First off, my dog is very vocal and there's no way that you would not have noticed that you pulled a giant chunk out of his skin unless you were being rough with him the whole time, which seems to be the case based off his attitude that day and for 2 days afterward. Katelin NEVER checked in after my text. NEVER reached out to see how he was doing or to offer a refund which, frankly, I feel I deserve. He was covered in scabs down his back where she had made him bleed and on his tummy. This lack of care and poor service is absolutely unacceptable. I took him to a new groomer today who confirmed my suspicions that the wrong tools were used on him and his undercoat had been completely stripped. Everyone there was horrified and appalled by the bald spot and lack of undercoat on his back. This company might be fine for small single coated breeds, but under no circumstance let this woman touch your double-coated dog or you will be paying for it in the long run. If you have a double-coated dog, I recommend Denise at The Healthy Spot who will be nursing my dog's coat back to health. read more

Then she arrived, after knowing we had a crazy dog who really made it difficult to get him in to the van, she still seemed frustrated. She came at least 15 minutes late and I think felt pressured by the time. Anyway, to try to lure him in to the van my husband was throwing the frisbee towards it. Not a far distance, nor a hard toss but it hit the van... Barely! She flipped out! After the grooming of both our dogs, who smelled terrible, and were not completely dry... When I asked her how much, she gave me the price and added $20 from the frisbee. Seriously?!?! To make matters worse, my golden mix had hot spots and she wasn't going to tell me! I brought it up to her and she said, " oh yeah I noticed red marks all over his stomach and a few on the other side too!" Well those marks, along with his ear infection ended up being a staff infection! The kicker was that she said she did both dogs glands but we brought them to the vet a couple weeks later and they were not done by her! Don't be fooled by this person! What an awful experience.
