We found someone with a schnauzer across the street and asked where it was groomed and she said the groom room. So we decided to make an appointment. Josh explained that if our dog was matted she would be shaved. In this instance unfortunately he tried to brush her but she didnt allow him so he did let me know she would be shaved. OUR CATS CAME HOME WITH FLEAS!!! EDIT: Yes, I've seen the owner's response. This was the same response he gave us on the phone. I've lived with these cats for 4 years, and my wife has lived with them for nearly 10 years. Never had fleas until TODAY, so... Feel free to decide for yourselves. EDIT 2: Between flea baths, medication, and now exterminators, coming to this groomer is costing us THOUSANDS of dollars. Huge mistake and massive regrets. The guy was nice enough, and even though he misunderstood what the term "Lion Cut" for cats (something we assumed he would understand, as a professional), we were willing to overlook it... until we discovered FLEAS ON OUR CATS!!! Our cats have never had fleas, so you can imagine our panic and surprise when they were behaving erratically, and we found fleas on their backs. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When we called to report this, he had the audacity to claim our cats had the fleas when they came in - which they certainly didn't, but if they HAD actually come in with fleas... wouldn't he have mentioned this himself?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now we've had to bring the cats to the vet for emergency flea medication, and then take them elsewhere for flea baths - huge expenses we never anticipated. Not to mention needing to clean all of our sheets, blankets, clothing, and anything else the cats might have touched before we discovered the fleas. We will never come here again, and we encourage anyone else with cats to AVOID this place. read more

Grooming skills are great, but I really don't like the way he treats the dogs. He yells and curses at them non-stop with phrases such as "Shut the F@!$ up!" I'm really surprised that no one has said anything before. This is by far the best grooming in LA, not just the valley. I used to live in weho and have been to every single groomers, always with problems, always incredibly expensive. Since moving to the valley, I found The Groom Room and the prices were almost half of what I was paying! LOVE THIS PLACE! Our rescued Chihuahua, Elvis, is impossible to clip his nails. We've been turned down and turned away for years by other businesses. I know he needs his nails clipped but to strangers, it just looks like I'm neglecting him. We've gotten the looks and the comments. They never want to hear your explanation about how hard you've tried to clip nails. I felt so judged ! Anyways, we don't have to worry about that anymore! This angel girl went for a lil Christmas mani pedi last weekend at The Groom Room. She's typically a handful during nail trims so I reluctantly passed her off to Josh and squeezed my eyes closed to listen for the chaos. When he brought her back 90 seconds later, she was relaxing in his arms like they were old besties. I can't even cut my own nails that fast!
