What a fantastic find my wife and I discovered after an afternoon apple picking. I ordered a club sandwich was excellent. My wife ended up getting a Turkey spinach wrap which she enjoyed. Both sandwiches came with a signature mini snickerdoodle cookie - nice touch. Now the sandwiches were delicious but it was the counter full of baked items cemented my return. So, if you are in the Standish area you really must stop by the Snickerdoodle Cafe.

Perfectly cooked bacon! I stopped in for a light lunch and chose The New Girl, a delicious wrap filled with crispy fresh romaine lettuce, slices of cucumber and green and yellow peppers along with delectable strips of bacon. A slather of raspberry- chipotle mayo gave just enough zip with a little heat on the back of the palette to complete the sandwich. Owner Lisa and her crew are always friendly and provide wonderful service. The shop is immaculate. The donuts, pastries and sandwiches are out of this world. I hear that the coffees are wicked good. I'll give one a try next time I go. Did I mention how good the bacon is? The shop is now at 166 Ossippee Trail, just down the street from the original location.

If you find yourself in the Limington area, you should make it a point to stop at Snickerdoodles. It's a charming, quaint coffee shop run by a very lovely and passionate mom and daughter duo right off Ossipee Trail. We stopped on a Saturday afternoon to get coffee, and if we hadn't been so full from breakfast, we may have gotten a bite from their extremely extensive (incredibly impressive for being such a small establishment) and reasonably priced menu. It includes everything from bagels and donuts (not made in house, FYI; options of which include Junior Mint, Maple Bacon, and S'mores along with all the traditional kinds) and baked goods, to creative breakfast sandwich options (the "Italian": ciabatta roll with egg, tomato, and pesto? Yum!) as well paninis for lunch. If you're just stopping for a drink, choices include teas, lattes in multiple flavor options, hot chocolate in multiple flavor options which they also do cold in the summer (oh, yes, there will be a return trip for an iced salted caramel hot chocolate with a shot of espresso), and - of course - coffee. They are one of those super smart places that use coffee ice cubes for their iced coffee, so there's no water-down factor (thanks for that, folks)! I wish they offered more than one type of creamer option (it's crazy to me that in this day and age there are still coffee shops that don't offer at least soy - I don't mind paying more for this luxury!), so that can definitely be frustrating and it's something you should know ahead of time. However, Snickerdoodle's does have a really great list of healthy (and delicious looking) smoothies, some of which include almond milk, so maybe it's something you can ask for?

    Friendly and cite!

Best choice of the day by far and we have discovered a new favorite spot. By the name you can tell they are a cafe but are also an apothecary will be our definite go to for tea blends now. Plenty of parking available which is great and you will first notice it has rustic vibes from the outside. Inside is a little less rustic but still has the perfect feel/vibes. Cozy and inviting with lots of art on the walls. They have a number of bar stools, a few tables then a couple comfy couches to enjoy your food/drinks. Even with the snowy weather they were busy but we snagged a spot on one of the couches. I got their normal latte and my wife got their Maple Weekend special Spiced Maple Latte. Both were phenomenal and they use Milkweed Coffee Roasters. Which they are a spot that uses and supports local and makes a lot of their own things as well. Food wise we each got one of their sausage egg and cheese sandwiches on an English muffin. Again even the sausage was locally made and you could tell the English muffin was freshly made. We got them with goat cheese and pesto and they were the perfect breakfast sandwich, so much flavor! These would be absolute must try and in combination with their drinks are worth visiting for! I can't wait to return and get another sandwich and/or try even more food! Such a unique and welcoming cafe that also offers all your apothecary needs!

They are located off of 11 in limerick, Maine, right beside the boat launch for Sokokis Lake, across from Mill Pizza. It's a small cafe, that serves donuts and coffee. The lady at the counter was very polite, efficient and kind. I'm sure she could tell I had recently been crying, after loosing my 14 year old dog. She was just so kind, and I won't forget it. The selection of donuts were out of this world, and I can wait to get some more ! They had a large selection, of which most were sold out, but she did say if there was any frosted ones I was interested in, she could throw it together real quick. That is very thoughtful and sweet. As I was pouring my coffee I said I wished you had more lemon donuts. The baker in the back heard me and said I can make more. Really?! How many do you want? I have never had this kind of customer service ever! So while he was making our lemon donuts we sat by the lake and enjoyed our coffee and delicious donuts! I even caught a glimpse of a quick hug shared amongst the staff- letting me know that this establishment was serving just as much love as they were tasty treats. Now me? I tend to go for darker areas, low dim lighting. But this naturally lit space still declared a cozy aura- with the browns, reds, blacks, and subtle pops of color. My mother and I chose to sit outside to enjoy the remnants of the summer weather- where we were teased by friendly bumble bees and delighted by passing puppies and their owners.
