This was a very convenient location for me to drop my dog off before work and pick him up after, so I eagerly bought a package of full day passes to give my little Bernie something to do when I was at work all day. Unfortunately, after just a couple of sessions, I had to eat the cost and stop taking Bernie there. I think Julie W. says it best in her review in October 2017: "You know how there are some places you begin to have bad feeling about, but try to ignore them because of history or convenience? Fetch is one of them." The space is very echoey (is that a word?) and the employees are constantly yelling (I'm not sure why). It would freak Bernie out. I came one day early to watch him in there and he was cowered in a corner. The owner brought him to me and you could tell Bernie was totally terrified. They have so many dogs, and not enough people to care for them. The people who worked there when I was there ranged from midely polite to completely checked out/seemed stoned. I ate the cost of this and as a frugal person, this isn't something that I do often. Bummer because the location was so convenient. Bernie gets along well with ALL dogs. Please be advised before taking your fur baby here. I decided to take my 7.5 month old Alaskan Klee Kai to this facility because the location is convenient. PARKING IS NOT! (It shares the space with a coffee shop so there are like 6 spots total to share.) I called in and they said she had to be approved with paperwork as well as a 30 min behavioral assessment. There's a drop off area with a counter but then they take your dog back where owners aren't allowed. I understand why now. I initially bought a 5, half day pass for $90. I took her and when I picked her up she was WILD. I thought maybe it was because this was her first time at a daycare and she was super excited. So I didn't think too much of it. That night I found a large mark on her stomach and called the vet. They said it couldn't been rough play but they weren't sure, and to keep an eye on it. That night my dog wouldn't go to the bathroom at all. I stayed up well past my normal time taking her out to try and go. I wake up about 3 hours later to find she had diarrhea all over the house. 45 minutes of cleaning that and she throws up and then goes to the bathroom again. Again, I thought maybe it was because of all the excitement. Because I bought the pass and I didn't have care set up for her while I went to work the next day..I took her back to see if that first time was just a fluke. It definitely was not!! When I picked her up she was completely drenched and while I hoped it was water..she wreaked of pee. I took her home and gave her a bath and she was so scared. I had never seen her behave like this. The same thing happened that night where she wouldn't go to the bathroom and in the night she pooped everywhere (I found out later they just let them poop anywhere. My dog is potty trained so this behavior is abnormal) She threw up again and at this point stopped eating. I immediately called the vet and they had her come in for an emergency visit where they discovered ROUND WORMS. They said chances are because they let them poop everywhere..that she stepped in it and maybe licked her paws at some point...but anyway they said I shouldn't continue taking her there. I then emailed Ted (the owner) explaining that situation in which I NEVER GOT A RESPONSE. A few days later I called back to see what's going on and the front desk person said, 'oh, there's a check here for you' and hung up. They refunded the 3 out of 5 stays I didn't use. This is a dirty place and unless you want to deal with your dog getting sick and needing antibiotics, I would highly recommend taking her somewhere else! read more

You know how there are some places you begin to have bad feeling about, but try to ignore them because of history or convenience? Fetch is one of them. I started taking my dog there about 3 years ago, every other week. No issues at all. It is within walking distance of my home, and he seemed to have a good time there. There were some things that disturbed me. I didn't know much about doggie daycares before this, so I thought it was normal. There is a general feeling of chaos about the place. I personally have seen the dogs unattended in the main area. Now, it may have only been a few minutes, but, like with toddlers, when you have a large number of dogs in a small space something can happen in an instant, even among the nicest dogs. I have also witnessed a dog, again unseen by the staff, climb over the 4 foot chain link fence that separates the areas. When I asked the attendant about it, his reply was; "Oh...he does that all the time" If he could not understand the risk of injury to either the climbing dog or any dogs that he may have landed on when he jumped over to the other side...I just don't know. Now my personal experience. Like I said, my dog had been going there for a few years. Most of the attendants were awesome...except one. (the ones I really liked don't work there anymore) I got the feeling he really didn't like my dog. The others would always tell my how he did...he played with someone etc. Not Jay. In fact, he hardly even looked at me when I collected the dog. One day, I asked how he did, and Jay said that my dog bit anther new employee. That was all that was said. I left, and called to leave a message for the owner to call me. She did, finally, but I was at work and couldn't take her call. Her message was essentially that it was no big deal. A new employee tried to grab my dog. The skin wasn't broken. (my dog weighs over 100 lbs. If he had wanted to hurt him, he could) I have the voicemail to confirm this. I e-mailed her and stated that my concerns were more than that. I explained about my worries with the one employee, and how my dog was treated by him. I specifically offered to work with them...perhaps bring him in on this employees day off? He could come when the employees I did like were there (I didn't know they had quit at this time) I was more than willing to make adjustments. I received an e-mail (after I sent mine twice) from Britt, the owner, saying that they had "discussed" it among themselves, and my dog is "not suited for daycare" She admitted that his "sins" which included gate crashing were not ONLY done by him, but there were other dogs doing it as well. But because of his size, he was not "safe". Notice that she had NONE of those concerns before I expressed my own concern about one of the handlers. At all. Had I not sent the e-mail, he would have been welcomed back. There were also other ways it could have been handled. Example: she said he started to get antsy around 4 -5...when the other dogs started going home. It would have been fine if she, say, suggested he only come for 1/2 days. That would have been fine. But no...after 3 years of patronage, suddenly my dog wasn't welcome. The good news is I have found another daycare center. Not only are these people experienced trainers, they gave me suggestions on things I could do to help ensure my dog's success there. They are much more professional, and keep a more orderly, way less chaotic pack. The person who did the temperament test even said that he would not even try to grab a dog by the collar until he earned the dog's trust and respect. They know dogs much better. And I will say that Britt did promptly refund the balance on the package I had purchased. read more

When we first moved to Portland back in October, our first experience was learning that none of our possessions had actually arrived and thus we were going to have to find a hotel not only for ourselves, but also for our two dogs, Miss Daisy Falcor and her little brother Samson. As a result, Fetch was literally the first local business we patronized as Portlandians, a decision we're happy with and continue with to this day. Fetch has a lot going for it. The space is clean, the staff is friendly, and the dogs always seem happy. Their prices are reasonable, especially for those of us that have more than one dog; we get 50% off boarding the 2nd pooch, so long as they can share a kennel. Basically this comes to $52 a day for overnight boarding, which includes all-day playtime. On weekdays you have until 6:15 to pick them up, which means you essentially get two full days of 'tire out the dog' time. I mean, that's not cheap by any means, but it's reasonable and a lot less than we've had to pay at other locales. You have to jump through some minor hoops to let your dogs stay here, but that's probably for the best. They do an evaluation to make sure that they play well with others. Mine both passed easily, because they are amazing animals. It's comforting knowing that dog bullies are not allowed at Fetch. One thing that is pretty adorable and fills me with envy is that they always have pics of dogs celebrating their birthdays. Unfortunately, this is pretty much reserved for the regulars, so my dogs (who only visit occasionally) have yet to have a birthday party. This means I have no pics of them in silly hats. At least none that originated at Fetch. What we do at home is our own business... Other than a more liberal silly hat policy, the only things that I wish Fetch offered were 1) an outdoor space and 2) some sort of webcast of the play areas, so that I could check in on the fur babies. They're probably SOL on the first one, as their location just doesn't make that possible, but hopefully the second will arrive someday. It's rapidly becoming standard. I'm glad we found Fetch right off the bat. They're a solid choice, and you could do a lot worse, for probably more money. read more

I love Fetch! And more importantly, so do my dogs! We started taking our dogs there after one of our dogs was kicked out of daycare, not due to his behavior, but because he is a pitbull mix, and "while his behavior is great, he's really sweet, he just looks too much like a pitbull." I might add that he was a 4 month old puppy at the time, who was attending obedience class, and puppy socialization groups. He was/ is a very well behaved and socialized pup. The staff at Fetch did a behavior evaluation on our dogs, and let all of our dogs in based on their good behavior, not because of how they looked. While our older girl mostly stays at home as she isn't interested in playing with other dogs, our pup attends every week, and he is thrilled to go. We always get updates on how his day was, and we are always treated with respect and courtesy. The staff are genuinely happy to see my dog, and I know he is loved and adored by them. It is clear to my husband and me that Adam and Britt (the owners) love dogs, and they love what they do. I am paranoid about trusting anyone with my dogs, and I trust them 100%. It's so hard to let anyone but family take care of my precious pooches, and even harder to leave them behind with no chance of going out to relieve themselves while I'm at work and no one is home... But like a knight on a horse, the knight being Adam and the horse being Fetch Doggie Daycare; totally came the saving my dogs needed! I'm a typical poor college student, and during my time home for long extended breaks I need to work... And my dogs need something to do than be lazy bums sleeping. After calling in to learn more about the business, and scheduling a time for my dogs to be observed... I found that Fetch did a wonderful job of taking the energy out of my 3 dogs (2 being mine, 1 being my father's) especially aiding my Kenji (mini-aussie) become a little more social since his breed is the skittish kind (he's progressed so well afterward). Adam, his wife, and their staff do a remarkable job taking care of the animals and their pleasant nature with the owners of the pets makes the experience even worth while. I've heard horror stories of doggie daycares throughout the area, but Fetch is no where near close to a horror story. They get rather busy, so it's recommended to call ahead of time to check whether there's space for your pooch - just so they get the attention he/she deserves. It's awesome too, throughout the day sometimes they'll post photos alongside video on their FB fanpage (great way to check on your pets). I'm back in school, but once permanently back in Portland as of next summer I can guarantee my trio will be back; especially since they take great care of my pooches and it's affordable for three dogs too! read more

We have recently moved up to Portland, Oregon and were in search of a new doggie daycare and boarding facility. We had already tried Virginia Woof, and found that they seemed to be a bit overcrowded with bigger dogs (we have a pug and a boston terrier), so we went on the search for something else. I stumbled upon Fetch on citysearch, and decided to stop by and check out the facilities. We stopped in unannounced and they were very welcoming and willing to give us a full tour. We got to walk through the main play area, go back to the boarding facilities (they have only 6 large kennels), and through the grooming area. Everything was impeccably clean and the staff was incredibly friendly. They did a short little consultaion to see how they got along with some of the other dogs, and went ahead and booked the reservation. They encouraged me to check in if I wanted to see how the pups were doing (and I did, because i'm a nervous nellie). Our Boston Terrier is older and not very high energy, and they seperate some of the "low energy" dogs in a different play area so they're not harassed by the hyper pups. That way they can still be out and about and not in the kennels. We hada slight emergency because our flight was cancelled at the last minute, and they were very accomodating. Luckily there was a cancellation, and the dogs were able to stay through. They even let them stay together in the same kennel! The kennels are more than large enough for two big dogs. One of the things that was really great is that they are open 7 days a week. They have limited pickup and drop off hours on the weekends (7-9 am or 5-7 pm), but they still get time to get out and play when the staff comes. Rates are $25 for boarding, and an extra $10 for daycare all day. If you've got two dogs, the boarding rate is 50% off for the second dog. Polly and the rest of the staff were great and we will definitely be bringing them back there on our next trip! read more

I have not used them for anything except dog washing. I've been about 5 times over the past year. They were really nice & happily let one of my dogs roam about while I washed the other. Great facilities + I forgot my spendy shampoo their for at least 2 months & when I finally figured out it was there I called & it was still there! Honest & Nice this place is a keeper! read more

The place does in fact wreak of urine. However, I only came here to give my dog a bath and it cost $15 which was a steal compared to where I am from. My dog smells good now, but I wanted to get out of there asap, due to the smell. I am not sure about the daycare aspect of the place since my dog doesn't go to any sort of daycare. If you can hold your breath for a little bit, this is a great place to clean your dog. They use great shampoos and provide brushes as well. read more

I have had lots of dogs, honestly never really needed daycare for any of them, then lately we decided to adopt few more puppies, and there is one who has way too much energy and does not like to stay home during the day, like the other 2 grown dogs do, he needs to play and be with people, he loves humans, and during the day when nobody is home, I needed to find a doggy day care where to take him. So I was recommended to try this place, it was a good choice. The staff is welcoming, friendly and very flexible, even if the puppy has too much energy and does not like to stay still long, they were willing to accept that and deal with that in a very gracious way, so I am very pleased and I think i have found the perfect place, I know the puppy is in good hands and he seems to like it here a lot, so we will continue to come back! read more

Whenever my husband and I travel out of the area, we board our dog here. We have a large mastiff/retriever mix who is getting a little old and creaky in the joints. He's also less tolerant of younger dogs who want to run around and play with him all day long. Even though we pay for boarding without daycare (because he doesn't really play with the other dogs anymore), the staff doesn't keep him cooped up in a kennel all day; they let him out to hang out on the couch in the room. Since my dog is older, he's content to lounge on the couch, getting pets and loving from the staff throughout the day, watching the other dogs romp around. I really appreciate this because my dog was from the pound and gets freaked out whenever his people leave him and he gets shut up in a small area with bars. My only complaint is that the time between the last evening walk and the first morning walk is far too long on the weekends. My dog can hold it for a long time, but the staff have said that he's peed in his kennel overnight on Friday/Saturday nights. He's always been good with bathroom habits, but his bladder has its limitations. read more

I took my pup here for a few daycare days. Then I went on vacation, and booked his stay here. When we got back 7 days later, my dog was totally different. Cowering, not his normal self, and he would get scared when I would put my hand above his head to pet him, which he never did before. It took him 8 days to get back to normal. When we would pass this place on our walks he would stop and not budge. Absolutely terrified. This was over two years ago, and still to this day he refuses to walk anywhere near this place. I feel absolutely awful that I left him here. I have no clue what was done or how he was treated, all I know is that my dog was not the same after, and took over a week to get back to normal. Why am I posting after so long? Because even after all this time, we tried getting coffee at Tinys while on our walk, and my dog refused. I should have posted this review back then. read more

We love Fetch. Jackson knows when 9 am rolls around and it's time to go play with his friends at Fetch and he can't get there fast enough. It's true sometimes he comes home a little messy but he's a puppy and plays hard when given the opportunity. I look at the "mess" as a proof he was having fun. I'm close enough that I can pop in unannounced and see what's happening and each time Jackson and the other dogs seem to be in good care. Dogs have good intuition and I'm positive if Jackson wasn't having fun or wasn't being treated well by the employees he would tell me by being reluctant to go, which is just not the case. In the last year, I have moved from a fairly spacious suburban home to a smaller apartment, while concurrently taking a job that demands a more significant time commitment. *Enters Dog Parent Guilt* My older dog, Xavier is 11 and pretty indifferent to things that don't involve evacuating bowels, eating, sleeping 20 hours a day, and being incessantly loved on. XE, however.....special window-licking rambunctious girl that she is.....she needs an outlet for her energy, and she's not really the type of dog to be in a dog park, or be off-leash, or come when called, or listen in general. Probably my fault, but if she was a human child, she'd be the sort that would live at home with mom forever. We know this. I searched around Yelp to see if there were any doggie daycares in my new neighborhood that seemed like a good fit for XE. She had never been to one, but she was pretty good with other dogs, and I figured a big pack of them would burn her out and help her with her yet-to-be-seen-doggie-socialization-"skills." I scheduled XE for an evaluation to see if they would even accept her into daycare. I was nervous that they wouldn't, especially since she's a super vocal (borderline mouthy) pittie mix. She got a B+ on her evaluation, but it's not failing, so I'll take it! The staff is all friendly, and helpful and they genuinely love dogs. They GET dogs. Nothing is more gratifying as a dog parent than to have a relative stranger demonstrate that they understand the personality nuances of your canine child, and that they share your affections for them. Understanding XE (and loving her various idiosyncrasies) means that you've spent time with her, and that's important. I don't want my girl dumped into a pen with 20 other dogs and left to ditch school, get pregnant and start a gang. I'm not raising a latchkey kid here. :) (Please continue to enjoy the "Psycho Dog Mom" chat....while I go on anthropomorphizing my dog.) (It should be noted that there is a person in the pen with the dogs at ALL times. So, if anything goes awry, they're in very close proximity to address the issue. Things seem to mostly go smoothly, so the bulk of the time the staff spends in the main pen seems to be about petting the dogs.....and, frankly, I'm a fan of that.) As time has passed, I've noticed that XE is better at interacting with other dogs (and people) outside of the daycare environment. The staff is constantly giving me updates about her behavior at daycare, and which dogs she played with, and if she napped, etc. It warms a part of me in such a way that I can't follow my usual Yelp suit of being cynical and ranty. When I pick her up, she's so tired that she usually can't stay awake for the 2 mile drive home. A tired dog, makes a happy mom- -let me just tell you. Speaking of happy, when I load XE into the car and drive her to Fetch....the second she figures out where we're going (it takes a while....she's a simple creature)....she starts coming unhinged with excitement, which is how I know I've selected a good place. I see some Yelp reviews of people complaining about a urine smell, etc. Well....here's the deal......it's a freakin' doggie daycare. The dogs are inside, and there's an allocated area for them to urinate, but it seems like kind of a given that there might be a urine smell. Here's a thought, chuck Fluffy in the bathtub when you get home. Problem solved. You can also pay them something nominal to bathe your dog....$15, I think. I've also had both of my dogs boarded here on several occasions (recently for 2 weeks), and they both love it. They are excited to go, and they don't look they've been in an internment camp when I pick them up. And the prices are reasonable, People! $17 for a half-day of daycare, $25 for a full day. Discounts if you purchase in bulk. I can't quote the boarding prices off the top of my head, but they're about $35/day for both dogs, they board them together, feed them separately, and they take them for walks, play ball, and put XE in daycare when she starts driving Xavier crazy. The daycare is $10 extra if you're all ready boarding. The first time I boarded them, they called me to let me know that Xavier wasn't really eating, and asked my permission to make his food a bit more enticing. Awesome! Traveling is stressful. Traveling and worrying that your dogs aren't being cared for in a capacity you would deem acceptable is ulcer-inducing. I'm glad I can worry about travel exclusively, and rest easy that my dog kiddies are loving life when I'm gone. If you board your dogs for more than 5 days, a bath and nail-trim is complimentary. That doesn't suck. The one point of frustration for a lot of people, is that the staff at Fetch isn't always able to get to the phone or email. My advice is, be persistent. Leave a thoughtful voice mail. The reason they aren't answering the phone is because they're taking awesome care of your dog. Feel comfort in that. read more

My husband and I have taken our rambunctious (now 2-year old) yellow Lab, Sascha, for a once-a-week, 1/2 day romp, at Fetch, for about a year now. (She normally runs 6-miles daily with my husband, but he needs a day off each week for his 60-year-old legs to recuperate.) My husband thoroughly read reviews of close-in Portland doggie day cares, and we visited 4 or 5 to find the best fit for Sascha. We settled on Fetch and have been more than happy. Sascha is a bit timid when she first arrives, so she gets time with just a few dogs before entering the large play area. Brit, Adam, and their staff have been wonderful in helping Sascha gain confidence to join the larger group and interact with her throughout the day, whether it's playing fetch (as a Lab this is of great importance) as well as blowing bubbles, climbing on the pet furniture, and playing with other toys. She loves the doggy socialization, and possibly the human interaction and encouragement she receives even more. We chose Fetch because of it's medium size (some places were just huge) the concern Adam and Brit showed for Sascha's well-being, and because she is a retriever (who often desire something in their mouths when nervous or playing) they allow (or even encourage) the dogs to play with toys. (A couple of places we went didn't allow the dogs toys, for fear of altercations.) They also have a drainage area where dogs can "potty," which is nice, because some dogs get confused after returning from locations where they can piddle anywhere in the room, and continue that behavior at home. The entire area is indoors. I've been involved with dogs for a number of years, and I believe that there is no single facility that will satisfy the reqirements of every animal or every owner. One needs to research and visit what's available and what may be suitable for you and your fur child! Our little Sascha plays all afternoon comes home pooped-out pup! Fetch has been wonderful for us. read more

Fetch is fantastic. Please ignore the clearly personality disordered person whose negative review appears to be a sad attempt to fill the gaping hole in her basic human decency. The staff at Fetch are very friendly, patient and clearly care about the dogs. They will let you know if your pooch had any issues during his/her stay, although we've never had any problems. The facility is clean and safe (and yes, it smells like dogs-- what would you expect?). The only negative is the limited parking, but that's a pretty minor quibble. Our labradoodle Simon LOVES Fetch and we appreciate their excellent care; I highly recommend Fetch for your doggie daycare needs. read more

I've been bringing my boy here for a little over a year. I love them, and so does the doggy!!! I feel that the employees take the time to pay attention to each dogs needs, and address them. Every time I pick my dog up they have something to say about his time there. "Enoch did this" "Enoch enjoyed that" "He was good today" "He got into trouble today." We've now had two poor experiences with Fetch... First we made a phone reservation for boarding, but on the day we tried to drop off our dog, they couldn't find the reservation! Then they found the reservation, but the person who'd taken our call had apparently not "recorded" it. They were very apologetic, but couldn't accommodate us, as they were all booked up. We had to scramble, and luckily found a terrific kennel (It's a Dog's Life) in St. John's... Then more recently we dropped off our dog for a week of boarding. They had the reservation this time, and all seemed fine. But when we picked up our dog, we were told that he'd gotten into a fight with another dog during "daycare," and the other dog was injured. Staff had taken that dog to Dove Lewis, on a Sunday, to stitch up a cut, and we were billed for the entire amount (our bill for the week was $622!). Apparently this happened on the day after we'd dropped him off, and staff told us they'd switched him out of "daycare" to "boarding" only. This is despite the fact that we were ONLY "boarding" our dog ($25/day), and not adding any "daycare" (an additional $10/day). Our dog now has a scar under his eye from the unwanted Fetch "daycare," and we returned from a family bike trip with a huge, unexpected bill. We'd definitely NOT recommend Fetch for boarding. read more

This was the dirtiest, nastiest dog bath place I have ever been to. The stench of urine burned my nostrils. EVERYTHING was covered and matted with hair: the tools, the floor, the bath, the fake plants, everything. The boarded dogs are in an awful cement space and are just howling the whole time we were there, sooo horrible. read more

I only have wonderful things to say about Fetch and the owners Brit & Adam. When we moved to Portland about a year ago, we were in need of a kennel for our dog, Ringo. It's always a challenge finding a new kennel for your furry friend, & Ringo was even more "special" because he has degenerative myelopathy & he needs a little more care & attention. Brit & Adam had no problems with caring for Ringo. They took a great interest in RIngo & his needs. They have done an EXCELLENT job. My worries were put to rest after chosing Fetch for my daycare/boarding needs. Brit & Adam are extremely nice, kind, flexible, & understanding people. You can tell they love dogs & that they treat all the dogs there with love & respect! We have had nothing but great experiences with them & we've been back many times. (This review is for the self wash/nail trim service only) We love going to Fetch! It's one of the few places in town that we've found where we can wash our dog. The location is very convenient, the staff (we almost alway see Brendan) is always friendly, the dogs are always barking with joy, the shampoo selection offers hypo-allergenic along with plenty of other options, and the set up is perfect! We really appreciate what Fetch offers to the community and will continue bringing our four legged friend here. read more

REALLY Disappointed. I was hoping this small daycare would be a safe environment for my dog. The staff profess to all be animal lovers and have worked in the animal care field for many years, are quite aware of whats going on with the dogs, etc. But when it continued that when I'd pick my dog up, she'd be a bit more thrashed than the last time and then finally I picked her up and another dog had bitten her ear, that was the last straw. Too many dogs, squanched into too small of a space and too little staff to too many dogs ... it just seemed that more quantity ($$) was the object here, rather than quality (of care). That and one of the staff members, clearly, was not enamoured in being there (whether they were having a difficult time in their personal life, or whatever) but it was transferring across to the treatment of the dogs. Just not okay on so many levels, that I would not recommend this daycare to my friends and family. But if you are already attending with your dog and are happy with it and they are happy with it, then more power to you. This is just my personal experience with them. That and the fact that they never return my calls, sorry, gotta give a thumbs down. :-( read more

Getting ready for a cross country trip to Portland, I found Fetch online and called them. One of the new owners (a young married couple) gave me a quote and seemed quite attentive, so I made a reservation. After travelling 3,000 miles, we boarded our two dogs there. I was given a multi page questionaire to fill out, and among other details, I warned them not to clip the dogs claws. When we picked up our dogs we were told that they had tried to clip the claws regardless, to bad effect. Also, the price I was quoted was doubled for the second dog, explained with "oh, I forgot." The new owners seem like nice young people but they don't know what they're doing. At LEAST they're good with animals --- but they need to pay attention more. read more

I love these guys! My experience with Fetch, the owners and staff, has been the best from our first conversation on the phone, our initial interview and evaluation and, well, now! We are current clients and use Fetch almost every day. I particularly love Fetch because everyone genuinely cares for my dog and takes good care of him. He was just a pup of 5 months when we first arrived, they determined that he has a high energy play style and hence, he was unable to sit in my office day after day. He was driving me crazy and I was at my wit's end. I spoke with Adam on the phone, set up an appointment to evaluate my pup and Britt and Adam (owners) were there for the evaluation. They took him at first for half days, and then we quickly moved full days and the rest of the story is that life has been blissful for our little happy family. I now truly believe that I have the best dog in the whole world! These guys care! They listened about my dog's particular needs, work with him to help him get along with other dogs and are very respectful of his training regimen. They clip his black toe nails so I don't have to (when I request it, of course,) and even have a log book to keep track of notes from owners so that the information filters through all their staff. My wife and I really enjoy making friends locally and doing business with friendly folks in our immediate environment. And we totally hit the jackpot when we met the people who own/work at Fetch. Our two standard poodles love spending their days at this place, and have made plenty of fast friends, too. They come home exhausted after a full day of play. Also, it helps to know that they're getting tons of TLC from the conscientious staff members. (These humans are all incredibly kind and cordial -- I don't know how they can maintain this positive attitude with all the barking going on around them. Oh, yes I do. This place is great! My boy is fine with other dogs, but not very trusting of people. The staff at Fetch really pays attention to the dogs they are taking care of. I have been told about some of my dog's actions while he is in daycare that are characteristic of how he acts when he is around people he trusts, and are fairly unique to just him (proving how comfortable he is there and how much the staff pays attention). They also give cute little stories about my dog interacting with his favorite dogs there. He is always happy when we pull into the parking lot in the morning, and comes home very happy and exhausted! I have not used Fetch for boarding (yet), only for daycare. I highly recommend Fetch and their great staff! I have read the previous comments about the place being dirty and smelling like urine. I am very sensitive to smells, and have never noticed urine stink or anything offensive at Fetch. read more

I took a long time finding just the right place for my pup Quinn - mostly because he's my "soul mate" dog and I had to be sure that he received only the finest care. I've been taking Quinn to Fetch for 2 years, and he continues to come home VERY happy, wonderfully relaxed, and most importantly not at all stressed, or unhappy. The ownership at Fetch recently changed, and the new folks in charge (Adam and Britt) are fantastic! It never ceases to amaze me that even with their immense amount of work they always remain positive, upbeat, and incredibly focused on providing Quinn with the best care available. Adam and Britt are TRUE dog lovers, and their constant focus on the dog's happiness is inspiring. And Quinn LOVES them!!! It's so cute how excited he is to arrive at Fetch and how undeniably thrilled he is upon seeing Adam and Britt! And the rest of the staff as well! All of the folks that work at Fetch are right on, and I have only great things to report regarding their care and behavior with the dogs. I feel so lucky to have found a daycare that not only keeps my dog safe, happy, and relaxed, but is also reasonably priced - and so clean! There is no question that Fetch Doggie Daycare will be around for a very very very long time, because they provide in spades what every dog lover/guardian demands; superior service and lots of love for their dogs. read more

We received a referral from two friends who have used Fetch in the past. We also know various people in differing states that have Fetch franchises. The first time we used them, our dog had a great time and returned tired, but good. The second time we used them, at pick up, when asked, they said he did fine and offered no details. We got him home and found a wound on his front leg. He also was very lethargic and wasn't eating, as well as throwing up. We called and was unable to get them to return a call until mid Feb (stay was at end of Jan). I spoke with Sara who was very accommodating, apologized for their lack of coordination of care with people who had been with our pet vs. who checked us out. I mentioned how dissatisfied I was with the experience and lack of professionalism and I required a partial refund or discount on our upcoming stay for President's Day wknd. She said that was fully understandable and she would speak with the owner, along with the other person who had cared for our dog during his stay. She said she would call the next day. Another week goes by with repeated messages and no call back. I finally call and leave a frustrated message and email and I get a call from Brendan. He acted like he didn't understand what was going on, offered no details, and seemed unable to follow the conversation. He stated he couldn't concentrate when he felt "berated". I explained I didn't like being ignored or my pet's care being neglected. I finally had to remind him why he was calling me and he gave me absolutely no details that could help other than "dogs get injured sometimes" and "kids get sick when they go to school". How about this - my dog is just now eating correctly, THREE weeks later! I asked our referral friends and they mentioned the owner, Britt's, name. I asked that she call me back and he said she was out today but would call back the next day. I heard, and have still heard, nothing. Britt being the one that eviscerated the other complaining woman on here in a manner I found most unprofessional and discourteous as a business owner. You are supposed to hold yourself to a higher standard as a business owner and this is something she just doesn't care about at all. I will never board here again, have let our very good referral friends know, and have complained to the main Fetch franchise. I called them last night after not hearing from Britt and started to leave a message. I finally realized I don't want to do business with them and I bitched them out and told them so. That's what happens with you don't give people and avenue for their complaints and concerns when you're in the SERVICE industry. Stay away from Fetch - they are horrible and mistreat animals (neglect). Our dog is still lethargic and frightened, but now beginning to eat. I hear they spray them with hoses to get them to behave. Unforgiveable. They should spray the owners and staff to get them to behave. read more

I've been taking my dog here for a few months, she loves it here, I did as well, but I am never bringing her back after what I experienced tonight. She can be kind of demanding and dominate, which I understand, but I would never yell at a dog like I heard one of their employees yelling at my dog tonight. I work at another doggy daycare in town so I know how annoying it can be sometimes to be in a large group of dogs, but there are a thousand other ways to control a dog misbehaving than what I heard. I came in while they were shutting things down (you could hear a vacuum going), and I could hear my dog barking because she has a very distinctive bark, but this woman was YELLING at my dog and telling her to shut up while she knew there were people in the lobby waiting to pick up their dogs that they dropped off to have a fun time, is irresponsible and completely rude to do to your customers and the dogs who sometimes do not know any better. I know my dog can be kind of rough and annoying around the edges at times, but this place accepted her and I thought I would feel comfortable bringing her to daycare here, after hearing how they treat "annoying" dogs I do not feel comfortable leaving my dog with these people, and won't ever come back. It made me extremely uncomfortable to be there and I don't think anyone should correct a dogs behavior by yelling and screaming at them when they don't understand. There would have been better ways to handle this situation and better ways to treat PAYING customers animals than yelling your head off at them for barking when you know there are people around picking up their dogs. read more
