Hobart Animal Clinic - At the vet today, just after making the decision to euthanize. So glad I took her here

The biggest benefit to this clinic is that it is walk in appointments, except for surgeries. So convenient! The staff is friendly, yet professional. I have experience with five other clinics, and Hobart Animal Clinic is my favorite. I always request Dr. Wozniak, as she gets to the point and tells me what she would do if it were her animal. Reasonably priced, though this definitely isn't a low cost clinic. However, you get what you pay for here. New and clean facility, educated and friendly staff, walk-in welcome, wide range of preventatives. I love this place so much that I take my family's pets here, who live two hours away. I can't say enough good things about this place. Keep up the good work!

Total wait time so far is 2 hours. An hour out front and an hour in the room waiting on a Doctor. The young man who took us back was awesome. But this is ridiculous having to wait over 2 hrs when obviously they were not busy! I've been coming here for over 20 years with several pets. This is by far the worst!!! I think it's time to find another Veterinary Clinic. I do not recommend Hobart Animal Clinic!!! Stay away unless you have 2 to 3 hours of your time just to get updated vaccines for your pet!

She has helped me nurture wild CH kittens back to health when everywhere else rejected them when they showed signs of CH. They were in bad shape, one even had a botfly! She was the only Vet that actually helped these little guys I was trying to save and she barely charged anything for all the work she did on multiple visits, knowing I was just helping to get them ready for adoption. I would not judge her on her staff. As for a rabies shot, it's a law regardless of indoor or outdoor in order to register your animal. I personally have 3 snowshoes and 1 Siamese, I trust this vet over every other in the area. She isn't about the money she is about what's best for the animal. I have also waited longer- why because she has to take the K9 cop first, they are on the job and need what they need immediately. I have no issue waiting when it's someone in service!

I recently had an emergency - The EVCC emergency vet clinic in Highland was NO help and spent hours misdiagnosing my dog. Which delayed his treatment. This company only cares about your MONEY and taking advantage of people in horrible situations…read more I called on a Wednesday to make an appointment for my dying cats to cross the rainbow bridge. During the call the pricing was explained and I was told the Veterinarian prefers cash. This would have been $650 in CASH to hand over while holding my dead cats. I explained I did not want to pay in cash. There was a hesitation and then the response was we will have the Vet reach out to you. An hour later the Vet called and we scheduled an appointment for Saturday afternoon and she asked me, will you be paying in cash? I said no, again a sigh and well I will have admin call you to collect the payment. Later that night I received a phone call requesting the $650 payment and I said I would pay a deposit but I preferred to pay the whole amount via a credit card the day of the service. I was told that's not their policy but I would get a call back later that night. No call back. Thursday late afternoon they called back while I was in a work meeting and I didn't check the voicemail. After picking my son up from daycare, dinner, bath, bed I go to check my message and at the same time these people are texting me. Essentially the message was confirming I was paying cash. When I responded saying I wasn't paying in cash they called me....at 10pm on a Thursday night. I am screenshotting this text exchange and yes I was upset. My cat is dying a slow death and this company is soulless. I get this is a business for them but there are other ways to go about it AND what kind of PROFESSIONAL service insists on their clients paying them in cash.

I felt it was much better for her to be able to stay home and not have the fear of going to a veterinary office. It was such a blessing to find this company. The doctor and assistant came on time, were very kind and understanding. Their demeanor and professionalism made a sad situation easier. I was going to write a review sooner but just had the heart to write one now. This company provides a much-needed service for pets and their owners. Thank you so much! PS: When I went to write this review, I saw that negative review someone posted about the company wanting cash. I had no problem regarding payment, no one asked me for cash. As a matter of fact, I felt the price was fair for the service given. Ignore this persons nasty review.

When she was around 8 months old she became very ill. We took her in and did everything in our power to save her but she sadly died of congenital liver and kidney disease. The vet bill alone, to try and save her, was approximately 5,500 dollars. Given she was less than a year old we reached out to Furr Babies and asked them what our options were as we had barely even begun to pay the bill from financing her. They called me back a few days later and advised that because she died of a congenital disease, they owed me a "replacement puppy" The idea alone that my puppy was replaceable was terrible in itself but the idea of continuing to pay for an animal we no longer had was no better. We ultimately decided to proceed forward with getting another puppy. We barely had her a week when she had to go in for what the doctor believed to be kennel cough/bronchitis. Of course this happened over a weekend when their preferred vet was not open, so I made the choice to take her in to the after hours clinic. Another 1,000 dollars in vet bills under my belt. I again reached out to Furr babies and explained what happened and asked them to cover the visit as it fell within the 30 day warranty. I was advised they would send my invoice to the owner and let me Know what he says. In the mean time they did offer for me to bring her in for breathing treatments to only try and tell me that perhaps I jumped the gun (a certified vet did not seem to agree with this statement) on taking her in and next time I should call them for advice prior to making that decision. I asked if they were open at 5am when I had to make that choice and questioned if they felt their knowledge was more reliable than a vets as they are not to my knowledge certified. They of course told me that they had more experience that I did with this type of stuff and could have assisted in deciding if she needed to go in. I reminded her again that I just had a dog, from them, pass away and asked how I would seek medical advice from them when they were not even open. I took my puppy in for a week to get breathing treatments and asked everyday to try to get updates from them as I hadn't heard much other than they were going to talk with the owner. Each time it was told they were waiting on him to come in. I have asked on several occasions for the owner to contact me and he either refuses to do so or just doesn't give a damn about his customers as he has made no attempt to contact me regarding this situation. I finally received a message from his staff back on Nov 6 advising he reviewed my statement and was only able to reimburse 35 dollars.....35 dollars is what he offered after giving me two sick puppies. They stated his reasoning was because I went to a vet they were not affiliated with. I questioned again how I was to do this when the one they are affiliated with WAS NOT OPEN. I told them it was ridiculous to offer me 35 dollars given everything that has happened and that I was asking that they cover the 1,000 for the recent bill. I of course was told they needed to converse with their owner and would get back to me. This all started back in October and we are now almost to the end of November and he STILL has not reached out himself nor do I have any resolution in sight!

Walked our dog around the block, back in her car and on her way in 10 minutes - 26$ per visit for months before I noticed. Constant cancellations/excuses, always came in during 2 hour block specifically asked not to come to not wake up baby, poor communication.
