Great place to visit in Fairplay! Our bartender Josie was out of this world! If you're ever in Breckenridge, definitely stop in Fairplay to visit. Great atmosphere and the drinks were definitely a must stop.

When in Fairplay, the train stops at Snitching Lady; a small batch distillery producing whiskey and brandy spirits. They make every drop in house! It's a mountain town distillery for sure. Housed in an old, historic building with positive vibes to boot. We popped in after dinner a block away. The only downside is that they closed in 30 minutes (currently 9pm on Saturdays). We had time for one, so fingers crossed it was going to be a good one. Fortunately it was a VERY GOOD one! One bartender was hustling behind the bar and on the floor. I ordered our cocktails and waited impatiently because they all looked great. These were made to order and made with TLC. Parson Brown // Smoked Old Fashioned. Barrel aged whiskey, local craft bitters, simple syrup, branded ice, smoked glass, orange crisp. One of the better Smoked Old Fashioneds I've had lately. The branded ice with their logo is a cool touch. If we were staying longer I would've crushed another! Snitch // Flagship Whiskey Sour. Clear whiskey, lavender syrup, lemon juice, egg white, orange bitters, rosemary sprig. This was my wife's drink and as soon as I took a sip I knew she'd love it. Again, one of the better whiskey sours I've had. Extremely balanced, which is often the downfall of this drink. Exceptional. Cocktails are all appropriately priced. In Denver these would've all been $16 a piece and they were $12 here (at least at the time I write this). Definitely a must hit spot in Fairplay with no shortage of classic, yet creative cocktails. And let's be real, whiskey tastes better at 10,000 feet!

I Love this distillery (highest elevation whiskey made)--a fun and friendly place to stop by and have a drink when visiting the Fairplay colorado. I only wanted to stay for a drink or two but ended up having one of just about everything on the menu. I first started with their Cocktail shooters, 1 oz shots. All 4 have different tastes. My favorite was the Blizzard, whose cream liqueur mostly tastes like bourbon; Moon drop is a must-try short to get the buzz. It's on the little spicy side. The other two are exceptionally good. I also had their Gold Miner, The Snitch, and Après. Après has a flavor of hot chocolate. If anyone out there is a whiskey+coco fav could try it. The ambiance was good. Bartender Kirby was extraordinary was very knowledgeable about the spirits. Must try place. I would go back when I m going back to town.

Great drinks, nice staff and Yummies Food Truck around back has the most amazing food ever! Love this distillery!

Best distillery! Great cocktails, love their rotating seasonal cocktails and amazing people (Sam is the best!). Thank you for creating such a great space within the Fairplay community!

We were doing a tour of Colorado distilleries, mostly following along on the "Colorado Spirits Trail" - but then this little place came recommended to us by a local. Not on the spirit trail but it should be! They have recently moved to a new location with a brand new tasting room. It is really nice with great decor and a huge two-sided bar in the middle. At the bar they offer tasting flights of their spirits as well as a full menu of signature cocktails. We started with a tasting flight. Both my boyfriend and I fell in love with the Rye (Yes, we even bought a bottle to go)! After our tasting we were lucky enough to get to meet the two head distillers/owners, Thomas and Dave. They gave us a tour of their backroom production. They even let me interview them for a video project, telling me all about the history of their distillery and how they got into it. Check out the video at: https://youtu.be/VZ9sGdXB4_E

My husband and I visit Fairplay every December as we love this cute town. Everytime we visit we stop by here because they are some of the best cocktails we've ever had! Every single drink is delicious and I never thought I'd enjoy a drink made with egg whites but wow they're sooo good! We try to sample every cocktail between us and they're all great and we love the fact you can buy their homemade whiskeys. So we will not only be returning but telling everyone to stop by if they're in the area!

If I could give 10 stars, I would. This is my favorite distillery in Colorado for many reasons. I make the trip from East Denver just to come here. It's in the cutest old mining mountain town, has the best vibes, the friendliest bartenders (Hi Sam and Kristina!), and outstanding cocktails!! What more could you ask for? A distillery cat to guard the grains? Well, they have that too! His name is Buttons and his face is on their bottle of whiskey. Speaking of whiskey, their blue corn whiskey won Best Corn Whiskey in the World at the 2020 World Whiskey Awards!! And Gold at the 2019 International SIP Awards! They also make brandy and currently have a grape brandy that is not to be missed. The history behind the building is pretty great. It's in the old bank and the original safe is still there situated behind the bar. (There's even a truly unique safe within a safe inside which is worth a peek!) I enjoyed multiple cocktails, from their seasonal Peach Sour (made with Palisade Peaches), the Snitch (their version of Whiskey Sour), the Mon-Hattan, and the Parson Brown (smoked old fashioned). I could go on and on with my love for this place...instead, treat yo self with a road trip there and tell them I sent you!!

This is a must stop for whiskey fans. Even for someone who isn't a big whiskey fan, their cocktails are fantastic! The bottles are right around $50 which is fine for a place like this but the flavor is incredible. I'm from Texas but I normally bring back around 5 bottles. The employees are all fantastic.

Amazing place, must visit. Bartender is amazing happy courteous knowledgeable. All of the drinks are out of this world top 10 old-fashioned.

We stopped in on some advice from locals. Great customer service by Jamie. She was friendly and informative of all our questions. We had the flight and The Snitch and Smash! All delicious and WOW! Lol. We hope to visit again and will be by to have some more whiskey!

The tasting room is set up as expected. When you walk in there is a counter and you can order drinks or try a tasting. We actually just ordered a drink and took a seat in their covered patio area. They do have a food truck out there too, so you could eat here, but we stuck to drinks. Lovely little low key spot with good people watching, I had a Colorado Mule (bourbon) and a Margarito (which was kind of a take on a mojito with whisky). The hubby got two classics (an old fashioned and a whisky sour). They were all well made and delicious. Bartender was friendly. All around vibe was great. We ended up taking a bottle of bourbon home with us. Wonderful spot on Main Street Buena Vista.

Great crowd and we had a lively time. 2 nights later we went back for the same BYO Old Fashion and I gave the bartender (different from prior visit) the ingredients; Rye, angistino bitters, orange bitters and thats all! Over a single large block of ice. They were out of Ang bitters (???) so i substituted walnut bitters. It happens, no biggy. They arrived at the table and were over small chipped ice. Wrong for a bourbon drink. She said they were out of blocks (8:00???) It was full of simple syrup- yuck! I discreetly took it over to the bar and asked what was in it, it was terribly sweet and not what we ordered. She said she puts simple syrup in them. I told her that is not what we ordered in the BUILD YOUR OWN. And asked her to remake it. She stormed to the table and said she would have to charge me for the new drink since that is how they make them. I asked her isn't it a build your own? And said forget it just throw the damn thing away. I'm done. I had nothing and we left. Be careful to explain it is build your own and you get to tell them how to make it.

Definitely ask for upstairs if you can because the view of the slopes is great! For food we got the deviled eggs which were amazing and tasted great! We also had the pulled pork and the street tacos with chicken, pork, and brisket. Other times I'm just in the mood for a cocktail that reminds me why I don't waste my time at places that think whiskey and cola is "craft." This visit was all about the cocktails, and Seven Grand absolutely delivered. Josh, our bartender, was running the room like a conductor leading an orchestra of happy whiskey drinkers. He asked what we liked, made a couple of recommendations for Old Fashioneds based on our preferences, and absolutely nailed it. Every drink was balanced, flavorful, and dangerously easy to sip. The guy knows his whiskey, knows his cocktails, and somehow still manages to make everyone at the bar feel like they're his only customer. The whiskey selection is enough to make a bourbon nerd lose all sense of financial responsibility, but surprisingly, we escaped without needing to refinance the house. If Josh doesn't own Seven Grand, someone should probably look into fixing that. Until then, I'll keep showing up to "try just one drink"... knowing full well that's a lie I tell myself every single time. Highly recommend.
