Went in for a stone grind, which comes with a sharpen and wax. I received the board with actual brown DIRT on my tail edge. My board looked WORSE than when I dropped it off. It may have gone through one pass of the stone grind, if even. I pointed out the chunks of dirt and that my base was DRYER than when I gave it to them. I was visibly unhappy. They removed the dirt, but that was it. I was offered to come back and have it done again. I declined the offer and went straight to another shop. They waxed my board beautifully and will go to them for a stone grind after my trip. I am EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in SNO HAUS! PS - On the phone they give you one price and then when you go in, they tell you that's only the price if you purchased it in store. I WILL NEVER GO BACK! read more

Sno-Haus is hands down the best shop on Long Island. From tuning services to new gear at great prices Sno-Haus has it all. Their staff is patient and helpful in a way that other shops can't compare. They spent over 2 hours working with my daughter trying on different boots to get perfect pair. How do you out a price on that? You can't! If your a stoner with no brain cells that doesn't want to excel in life at all, this snowboarding department is looking for you!! Holy mother. No one has any clue what is going on in this place. Bought my new board, bindings and new boots. Took home the boots and left my bindings with them so that when my board, that was special ordered, came in two weeks, they could attach my bindings and I would be all set. WROOOOONNNGGG. Leaving my PAID bindings with them and intrusting they will be safe and won't be GONE when i returned to get my board was a huge mistake on my part. So now my bindings are gone, and now apparently sold out. Awesome. Talk to a NEW person that helps me, he refunds my money and tells me a new order will be placed. I call a few days later. No order was made. So i talk to a NEW person that says they will do a 2-day shipping on them. No one winds up calling me 2 days later so i call them. THEY NEVER ORDERED THEM. No one knows who i am, even though i knew all 5 people's names i talked to, apparently I'm a ghost that never existed. When i finally do get my bindings. Even though i acted very calm to the staff, I was so mad I wanted to take the stupid, pain in the ass bindings and smash every stoner loser who works there in the face with them. There is no customer loyalty and the return policy is bogus. I have been coming here for years and will never go back. Stay with dicks or sports authority. So I just learned how to snowboard a couple months ago and have started to come to Sno-Haus for all of my equipment/winter gear needs. This place is awesome from the inside and out! (i.e. log cabin facade) They have all the winter-gear/brands you could be looking for. The large space offers two floors for snowboarders and skiers, rentals, toddler/young adult sections, and equipment repairs/adjustments. Sno-Haus is truly your one stop shop for everything related to winter sports! My biggest complaint and why they don't deserve 4-5 stars, is their overall customer service...it sucked! Just about every employee I spoke too wasn't very approachable, friendly, enthused, or patient, especially with a new snowboarder like myself. They're definitely knowledgable about everything, but it's like pulling teeth at times trying to talk with anyone :-/ I shall return purely because they are the only winter sports shop in the area and offer a very wide selection of everything I could need. Put some tape on the ground and have someone actually direct people for where to stand to get in line for the register. Every time I come here there's a giant group gathering in the lobby, I stand behind them presuming they're waiting to pay and then I have a self absorbed Long Island mother with her pre teen swoop in and claim she's been in line the entire time and run in front of me. Great shop! From the second you walk in you are transformed to a wooden cabin in Colorado and instantly make you want to strap on your board and shred a mountain. They offer a great selection of boards ski's and enough apparel to keep you warm for seasons to come. The staff is always friendly and willing to help you with anything you need. We just went in here to get some things for the upcoming winter season. Selection was great! They have everything you can ever think of for your winter adventures. Kristen was our sales associate and she went above and beyond in service!! We were finishing up and another older gentlemen (probably the owner or something ) came over and speak to her so rudely. Spent thousands of dollars worth of merchandise and was given an attitude over a return $20 dollar price adjustment because Sports Authority had the exact same merchandise at much cheaper prices. Save yourself the hassle and go to a larger sports department store where you will find the same merchandise at a cheaper cost and receive way better customer service if you need to return something. Went there to get snowboarding boots adjusted because they were too big on me. The person helping me was extremely helpful and nice. They promptly put these strips on the inserts of my boots which worked perfectly, saving me hundreds of dollars which I would have had to spend on new boots. Also, they didn't charge me ANYTHING for the fix! I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and helpful pro-shop. read more

They sold me a pair of boots that are NOT right for my feet. I've had them worked on 5 times from boot fitters in Colorado and Vermont who have all told me that the person who sold me this boot didn't know what they were doing because they are too narrow. I guess it's my fault for buying boots at a Long Island ski shop instead of a mountain town with people that know what they are doing. Will not go back there ever for ski equipment. Friendly and knowledgeable service! We had been looking for a specific jacket in a specific color, which they had been sold out of. We bought a pairs of ski gloves and figured we'd have to search online for the coat. After we left we received a phone call letting us know that they had found the coat at their other location at more than 50% off! They even shipped it to the location that is closer to us. They were so sweet and really went above and beyond to help us out (and save us money!). We will most definitely be going back for all of our winter ski and snowboard needs. read more

Money, money, money!!! They want yours and they make it so obvious. The staff is awful. I bought a jacket and went to return it a few days later because the fit was wrong. As I walked in the door they immediately told me that I'm going to get a store credit, not a refund to my cc. I asked why and they said it was because it was a sale item. Get this, I didn't even ask, they said it immediately which leads me to believe they know it's shady and have problems with everyone. Everything in their place is marked slightly below MSRP so I guess they do that to make sure they can keep that cash. Used to shop here.......... used to! I'll go to Dick's or Sun & Ski. Both are literally right down the road, they have cool staff, they're vastly cheaper, and they're not out to screw the customer. read more
