They do a combination of mimosas, blood Mary's, juices, coffees, and custom Snooze drinks. We went there on a Monday at 11. The place was pretty packed out. Our server was real cool and answered our questions. The food was really good. I subbed my snooze burrito with barbacoa. It was sooooooo good. The Rejuvenate drink was really awakening. It'll get you up. It is a tad bit sweet. My friends got the honey almond drink. They said they can drink that all day. The lavender honey oat milk latte was really good too. We had a good experience here for the one breakfast we had while visiting Austin. Snooze has an extensive menu with lots of options for any breakfast palette and plenty for vegetarians. My one sticking point was the coffee...it was serviceable...not "send-back-able"...but not particularly strong. One of my missions in life is to make breakfast places understand that their coffee, which is often the first point of contact for visitors, needs to be strong. It really wasn't here...not quite browned water you can get at some places...but really not the bold taste I'm looking for in a drip coffee. Besides that the food was great, My wife has the Smashed Avocado Benny which she really liked. It was served with a round hashbrowns puck which was one of the most delicious representations of hashbrowns I've ever had. Cooked PERFECTLY. I want to travel back to Austin to have it again. (or actually, they have locations all over so maybe I'll just go to a local one.) REALLY GOOD HASHBROWNS! (And I'm not the type to put things in upper case for no reason.) I had, mainly because I was in Austin, the breakfast tacos. It was a generous portion of three tacos that looked and tasted good, and which were suitable for my vegetarian diet. There is a lot of seating inside and out, but even with that on a Sunday morning we still had to wait to be seated...but not for too long. I recommend adding yourself to the wait list before you arrive. (Though I don't think that was working when I tried to do so on the website that morning.) This experience at Snooze (Austin, TX) was absolutely disgusting and terrifying. I found a piece of plastic inside my food -- and it was small enough that I could have swallowed other pieces without knowing it. That's not just a mistake; that's a major food safety violation and a breach of state law. Under the Texas Health & Safety Code (Chapters 431 and 437), food served to customers must be safe, uncontaminated, and free from foreign material. What I was served was legally considered "adulterated food" -- unfit for human consumption. That's how serious this is. And yet, the way the restaurant handled it was even worse. When I asked to speak to a manager, no one came to the table. Nobody checked what happened, nobody asked if I was okay, nobody apologized. They simply wrote "Oops" on the bill and gave me a $6 discount. That's it. Six dollars for finding plastic in my food. The manager's behavior was shocking -- they acted like this was completely normal. No concern for safety, no accountability, nothing. If this is how they react when someone finds plastic in their food, imagine how many other problems get ignored behind the kitchen door. And the worst part? I have no idea where that plastic came from. It could have been from packaging, gloves, machinery, or something contaminated with chemicals or spoiled food. That's cross-contamination and a violation of basic hygiene standards. If someone with an allergy had eaten it, it could have triggered a serious reaction -- even a medical emergency. I'm grateful I noticed it before swallowing it, but what if this had been a baby or a child? What if someone with allergies had eaten it? The outcome could have been tragic. This wasn't just unprofessional -- it was dangerous, illegal, and utterly disrespectful. The manager's complete lack of care showed me this place doesn't take food safety -- or their customers -- seriously at all. read more

Figured we know how this chain operates after yesterday's first experience. There is parking behind in a parking garage from the restaurant. The restaurant will validate your first two hours of parking in the garage. You will need an hour to get a table, get your food and eat. It's a half hour wait for this late Saturday morning, inside or outside. There are some heaters set out on their patio area. The counter is first come, first serve. They will text you when your table is ready. It's beyond me why they aren't seating the folks waiting outside for a table out 30 minutes later and we took seats at the counter since it shows us 12th on the waits list still. Grabbed an oat milk latte, Goldilocks porridge and got a side of berries and brown sugar and maple syrup (as an add-on), Suja organic mighty dozen raw juice, bountiful Buddha bowl and protein and veggie and white scramble. $65.44 The mighty dozen tastes healthy, not very tasty, but healthy. The oat milk latte is as expected. The Goldilocks' porridge is good and so much better with some brown sugar and maple syrup, the restaurant should just have the brown sugar and maple syrup be a part of the order in my opinion. The food in general takes a while. Our porridge was out 20 minutes The Bountiful Buddha bowl . I realized I didn't have to worry that I didn't ask for the goat cheese on the side, since they only gave a few fingertip end amount of it in the bowl. The protein and veggie white scramble is as good as it was yesterday at the San Jose Snooze eatery. The rest of the food was out about 35 minutes after we ordered it, so a bit of wait to get a seat and eat. We got there early today, and it was the first time we didn't have to wait for a seat. (Perhaps people were still recovering from the UT game yesterday). I ordered corned beef hash that comes with eggs & toast. I LOVE this hash! It's got large chunks of corned beef, onion and Poblano peppers. I added a single chocolate pancake (for breakfast dessert), and loved that too. Others in my party were pleased with their protein veggie egg white scramble with homemade chicken sausage patty, bravocado toast and Denver omelette. I love going to brunch at snooze, it's all about consistency. Their pancakes are good, they have flights if you want to try different types. Their menu is pretty extensive, it goes from a typical breakfast plate with eggs and bacon, to eggs Benedict and our favorite Tex Mex breakfast plates. You'll for sure find something you like. Prices are good as well. The place is ok, it's pretty tight and always crowded, but the good news is that you can get in line through Yelp and show up right before your turn. Best feature ever! Absolutely loved it here for a weekend brunch! We had eight people and were surprisingly seated very quickly outside. The place has the typical quirky brunch-spot ambiance, but I loved it. The food portions were generous, and the breakfast combos come with toast, keeping us full until dinner time. I enjoyed every single thing I ate. I had a pancake flight With the pineapple upside down, pancakes, the pumpkin pancakes, and the strawberry pancakes. They were all amazing. I had their special bacon and some eggs. I can't remember our server's name, but she was a young girl with very short curly hair. She actually looked exactly like one of my cousins. Snooze is notorious for their wait times although I still don't get why they don't make everyone's life easier by just accepting reservations. We couldn't get on the waitlist for Sunday brunch due to technical errors in the app and ultimately had to wait for an hour to get a table outside (on a very cold day) even though there's plenty of seating. It was an hour and half wait or more for a table inside. The hostess were both very rude, probably annoyed that they had to handle this huge crowd of people in line (Again reservations would make everyone's life easier). They also seemed a bit short staffed. Our server came to get the order a few minutes later, the good took another 20 minutes and check came a further 20 mins after we asked for it. Finally the good, the omelets were pretty good which you would expect from any decent brunch place. I had the sweet potato smash which was baked sweet parat topped with avocado and option of poached or scrambled eggs. It was a beautifully presented dish, a little light on calories and want really filling. I regretted not getting one of the sugary brunch items as I still felt hungry after devouring the dish. The weather eventually got better so it turned out to be a nice time overall for our Sunday brunch and I will definitely get the pancake next time. read more

My parents were in town so of course I had to take them to snooze for some brunch! It was a Sunday so they were packed but we were on the waitlist which made the process a lot smoother than the last time I was here. Between the three of us, we got the snooze classic, strawberry shortcake pancakes and the sweet potato veggie smash up. Their pancakes were excellent as always and I love how fluffy they are soaked in syrup. I loved the pairing of flavors in my own sweet potato dish and their special sriracha maple syrup.
