Very retro looking bar with free pool! It was quite busy when we came in with only one bartender. We almost left because it took a while to get to us. But in the end she nice enough gave us free beers for being patient. I would have tipped her if I had cash on me. The beer selection was limited and no tap at the moment. Lots of seating in the area.

I went to The Flower Shop on May 16th and thought it was a super cute bar/restaurant. My friends and I ordered drinks and mozzarella sticks which were amazing! However, the service was terrible. There were two ladies working the bar who didn't even bother looking you in the eye when you had a question, or even worse seemed annoyed for no apparent reason. It was mid-day so I assume the beginning of their shift, no reason to give horrible customer service anyway. Unfortunately, I've been turned off from this place because of that.

This is a great place for a group of friends, a date, and anywhere in between. I love the atmosphere of the bar area inside and outside. Inside is moody and intimate and you get to enjoy the unique interior design details. While outside is much more lively and spacious a great place to socialize and enjoy music. They even have a pool table and photo booth (on of my favorite in Austin, it's great quality!) I've ordered a few drinks here (only one pictured) and the Cucumber Gimlet is amazing. The food we ordered was good but nothing really stood out to me. I definitely want to come back and order dinner instead of just snacks. Parking is tough, they have a small lot but otherwise it's a fight for paid street parking. I would definitely make a reservation if you want to sit down and eat, if you're just going for drinks you'll be fine though.

Came here for the Vacation Inc. Poolsuite event and had an absolute blast! The space has an amazing retro '70s vibe--from the décor to the atmosphere--and it added so much charm to the entire experience. The flower shop setting was such a unique and fun backdrop, making everything feel playful and nostalgic. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which made the event even better. Food-wise, they served freshly grilled hot dogs (surprisingly delicious!), and they even had a vegan option, which was a thoughtful touch. The pool table setup was iconic and made for the perfect photo op. This spot is great for grabbing drinks, snacks, or hosting retro-themed events like this one. There's a free parking lot, and if it's full, there's plenty of street parking nearby too. Highly recommend checking it out if you're looking for a fun, nostalgic atmosphere and good vibes!

I came for drinks/happy hour with a friend here. It's a cute place, parking is limited but you can find street parking further back in the neighborhood (just be careful about the signs because some streets it's residents only/you need a permit). This place only had a couple folks at it by 5:15p on a Tuesday when I came so I was seated right away despite not having a reservation. The host (Etta) was also our server and he was really friendly and attentive! My friend also got mozzarella sticks; I was too full to try them but she liked them. I found out at the end that the happy hour (well) cocktails are on a separate menu so be careful - their house cocktails aren't part of it! The happy hour price is $6 but the regular cocktails are $13-14. Overall I liked the ambiance in here, it's a nice place to hang! However given the lack of easy parking, I would seek to come here again since the drinks themselves were good but didn't blow me away. Nevertheless, would rec at least one visit to check it out :)

So I went to supper times to try a little bit of different things. I have to say the inside of the place is super cute and seating was easy. I did sit at the bar both times. The staff is really nice. The first time the bartender was very knowledgeable and you what to offer comparing to our pallet. We got the brussels sprouts which I have to say so good definitely grab them. The sauce in them is delicious. The fries are just great. they're crispy and very well seasoned and just delicious. The Katsu burger was actually really nice. They did really good on the crispiness of it and the flavor. The second time we went, I have to say the bartender was a little odd, he seemed very straightforward and just too much of in a hurry for any kind of questions. I got the cheeseburger that they have and I have to say that the patty tasted like just any frozen type of patties so I would not recommend the burger. Once again, the fries were amazing . The Caesar salad was actually really good. They did a great job on it. As for the mozzarella sticks they were not hot enough, so the cheese was just kind of stiff, and sadly the marinara sauce came room temperature not hot or warm. The drinks I have to say were really good. They did a great job on my friends dirty martini. I got a espresso martini which was delicious and they made it to the way I wanted. So for drinks, definitely a great spot.

The Flower Shop is a cute 70s vibes bar with multiple levels. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. I came here Saturday at 11pm during SXSW, and it wasn't busy at all. We were the only people there when we first walked into the first floor bar, but more people came in later, and we saw a few people on the rooftop. The ambience was great all around. Their cocktail menu is really small, and there was only one drink that sounded appealing to me. I anticipate their menu will expand though, especially since they're a new bar. I got the Pirate Rose cocktail, which had an interesting flavour. It wasn't bad, but I thought it tasted weird at first. My friends liked it, and the flavour definitely grew on me. It tasted similar to a sour Chinese root of which I do not know the name. This bar has good vibes and cute decor!

I have been hearing a lot of buzz about The Flower Shop - I've been following their insta account since the location was announced a while back! Went in with the hubs for dinner and drinks. Loved the decor! Vintage 70s vibes but classy! It's 3 floors with a pool table on the rooftop. I wish they had more than one! Sat on the main floor at the bar and had fantastic service while people watching and seeing the hustle and bustle in the area. If you want to dine there and want a table, make a Resy! Ordered the spinach artichoke dip (made with goat cheese) and loved it! Had leftovers and have been snacking on it since. Also, the katsu chicken sandwich was perfection - liked that the chicken cutlet was thin and the slaw and the sauce hit the spot. The tempura mushrooms and lotus root was good - enjoyed the lotus root the most. Devoured the charred broccolini because balance! Also, the mezcal cocktail with watermelon - forgetting the name - was a fan favorite and I'd definitely order it again. Overall, can't wait to go back!

Fantastic spot for dinner on the east side, need to come back and try more of the menu! Parking - very small lot on site and street parking around, neighborhood has a lot of signs so read carefully. Service - our waiter was incredibly friendly and check on us throughout our meal. We came for a 5pm dinner so food was very fast. Food - delicious! Really hard deciding what to get as the whole menu sounds great. I. got the mushroom rigatoni with a side of the broccolini. Both were flavorful and the rigatoni had the perfect kick to it thanks to the red pepper flakes. Ambiance - huge space! They have a great outdoor patio and upstairs section. It was cold so we sat inside and I loved the decor, very cozy. Looking forward to returning!

This cute new spot just recently opened on E 7th plus has its own parking lot, which is always appreciated in this area. The food was mediocre for me. I loved the spinach artichoke dip (made with goat cheese instead of mayo)! The chicken katsu burger was heavily reliant on the mayo, which I'm not a personal fan of. The vibe and drinks are great! I will definitely come back for drinks again.

The Flower Shop (which also has an NYC location) opened a few months ago in our neighborhood. We'd been wanting to go so badly, had reservations a few times and had to cancel. If you want guaranteed seating, I strongly suggest reservations because they are busy! We popped in on a Thursday around 7 pm with my sister who was visiting from Pittsburgh. They were already packed! The main level has a cool outdoor patio off the dining area that also has a bar. The rooftop bar has a pool table and more great outdoor seating. Cool views of 7th and beyond from up there. Just off the side of the rooftop bar in what I would call kind of a middle level, is a smaller lounge area with a bar and seating. It's such a chill spot, I love that nook! We got in it before anyone else and it soon filled up. Even filled up, it maintained that same chill vibe. The interior retro decor is elegant, warm, and welcoming. The patios and rooftop bar are lively and fun boasting glider swings with canopies and vintage patio seating. The staff are some of the most genuinely friendly people who are really interested in their customers. It gives off a total friends and family feeling. The cocktails are simply exquisite. Absolute works of liquid art. The deviled eggs are darn tasty too. They've got a great looking food menu, can't wait to get back and try more.

Finally had a chance to check this place out last night. Firstly, they have a dedicated parking lot which is nice! We started with the brussel sprouts and spinach artichoke dip - both delicious and good to share with a group. We then ordered the chicken Katsu as our entree, and honestly wasn't super wow'd - bread was pretty soggy and the chicken itself was pretty bland without the spicy mayo, so you really need a lot of the mayo to get flavor. Pretty disappointed that there's really only 2 items that are GF on the whole menu. Not even the salads were marked as GF. Either way, enjoyed the vibe of this place and the multi story. We had good service too!

The bartender claimed I was drunk and cut me off anyway. I was at the bar talking to a girl while waiting to get a drink (the wait was long because the service is very slow, despite the bar not being very busy at all). She was clearly into me, and the bartender kept jumping in trying to talk to her too (instead of doing his job making drinks). He was doing all sorts of things to try and flirt with her and make her laugh: pulling out and showing her buckets of pre mixed cocktails, running and sliding under the bar, etc. She was engaging with both of us , and right in the middle of that, I get cut off out of nowhere. No explanation other than claiming I looked drunk, which I very clearly wasn't. It felt very clear what was going on--he wanted me out of the way. I left and asked the bouncer on my way out if I seemed drunk. This was literally two minutes later. He said no, not at all, and asked me why I would even ask that. I then told him exactly what happened and asked him to let the owner or whoever was in charge know about this extremely unprofessional conduct so they can discipline the bartender. His response was that the bartender has discretion to cut anyone off, and let me know the bartender is supposedly married so he couldn't have been flirting with any of the customers. Well, sounds like his logic is flawed--not only COULD he flirt with his customers, he WAS, and was therefore cheating. I hope his wife finds out. This is perfectly representative of Austin customer service lately and not normal in other places. I was in Tampa for an entire month earlier this year and this would've been unthinkable there. I'm not coming back.

If you're coming here definitely do yourself the favor and Uber as parking is incredibly difficult to find there. Getting in is very quick and efficient and once you're in you're greeted by live music and a fun open space to get drinks and hang out with friends. There are multiple different places to get drinks from which is nice as you can choose how long you would like to wait in a line. Drinks are not unreasonably priced and they were good as well. The ability to sit throughout the area, get up and dance, or just listen to music makes this a great spot to stay entertained for a while. We came when there was an event being put on by Zyn where they were giving out free drinks to nicotine users which was funny because why not get you hooked on nicotine AND alcohol. But seriously, there are typically food trucks and more things going on here but the Zyn trucks took up those spots which was a bit of a letdown but we're assuming that's just a one off event. Between a good band, decent drinks, and a good amount of seating options, this is a good spot to sit down with some friends and just vibe out for the night. We'd give it a recommendation if you're looking for something fun but not too much fun on a night on East 6th.
