Though a table was free, staff declined to reseat us without another 25 minute wait. So, we stayed on the booth by the back corner thinking that Phoenix Fire might need to bring the jaws of life to cut us out. The food was decent enough, my Wife loved the Shrimp & Grits and I enjoyed the Pot Pie. We tried the Bacon But Different and didn't think that it was really that different from bacon that had been drizzled with maple syrup. Amazing choice for breakfast. Came in early on a Tuesday morning and they weren't busy at all. It wasn't super hot yet so we snagged a seat on the patio. Eric welcomed us with so much energy and enthusiasm and checked in on us a several times during our visit. Blair was our waiter and he was the absolute best! The food was delicious and the pancake was like eating dessert for breakfast. The breakfast tacos were great and the corn tortillas were super fresh. Grits are usually served as a part of the shrimp and grits dish but we ordered just the grits and they were so hot and flavorful. I walked all the way from my hotel here before I realized I didn't have my wallet. Not to worry! They offer pay in the app or by QR code on the table! I sat at the bar and was greeted warmly with a menu. I got a cappuccino and an OJ. The menu has so many unique and delicious sounding choices. It was hard to decide! I went with a Benny duo - pork Chile verde and the ham. Both good, although the ham was pretty thin and lots of the English muffin didn't have any topping at all on it. A very busy restaurant for absolutely all the right reasons. The Service was amazing. We were seated in 5 minutes. Be prepared to want to tip really well. If first impressions are important get the fresh squeezed orange juice. It is a big glass of juice and really can't get any better. I had pineapple upside down pancakes. The chef was so confident he didn't provide syrup. There was some on the plate. A perfect amount. The serving was large and i couldn't finish mine. My husband had corned beef hash. It was homemade with just the perfect amount of salty goodness. And finally we had hot candied bacon. (When candied bacon is your 3rd favorite dish you know that's something.) It was also very good! I wanted to take photos of my neighbors food. It all looked amazing. If I am ever visiting Phoenix this is my go to place. The ambience is fun, welcoming, inclusive. I had the Huevos Rancheros and they were delicious and filling! Nitro coffee was good too. Brandon was an exceptional waiter, bringing joy even in our brief communications. There's a good amount of outdoor seating and they have garage-like doors that open so if you're sitting inside, there's a lot of air circulation. Nice place to have brunch plans with friends, it did have a bit of a wait time when I went on a Sunday morning (around 40 minutes) but that's pretty expected. Plenty of seating is inside and outside but you don't get much of a specific choice as tables randomly become available. I decided to order the Funky Monkey French Toast- had a bit of a chuckle while ordering it- and it definitely did not disappoint. I was really excited that it featured banana bread instead of classic toast, and the white chocolate plus caramel sauce makes it a perfect meal for folks with a sweet tooth. Though the tofu scramble was listed online, it wasn't listed on the print menu for some reason; I asked and they do have it. So I ordered the tofu scramble ($15.49 plus tax), which comes with a choice of 3 toppings (I got roasted cauliflower, spinach, and red peppers; and then added some soyrizo). The dish comes with a sort of hashbrown/mashed potato hybrid that I really liked, as well as a choice of toast. The portion was copious and good value. Very friendly and hospitable service. Was in town for the weekend attending an event at the convention center. Popped in for a healthy breakfast and was wowed! The veggies are fresh, delicious and the combo is well put. Dollops of goat cheese with tahin avos elevate this veggie Omelette so well. The side salad was also good with the roasted pepitas the flavors become memorable. A lavender cappuccino is the best partner and they made it well. Service at the bar was good so I decided to come back the next day and order the same meal at the bar. Really cool breakfast spot in downtown Phoenix. I wanted to find a place outside of Oldtown Scottsdale where there wouldn't be a lengthy wait but would still offer quality service. I met my friend here for a lunch date around 12:15/12:30, after the breakfast rush, and I had no problem getting us a booth. All I did was put myself on the waitlist (via Yelp) while driving and the table was ready by the time I arrived. The menu has a wide variety of options, but not too the point where it becomes overwhelming. The waiting staff quickly greeted us and served coffee + water while we reviewed the menu. I elected to try the Corned Beef Hash while my friend had the OMG! French Toast. Both dishes were fantastic! I enjoyed the beef (served medium rare) and the Sunnyside up eggs were also delicious. The OMG! French Toast was scrumptious - it's basically a dessert!
