At first when I saw this restaurant I thought it was going to be amazing. Especially after looking at the menu. I ordered the spicy jerk chicken dinner. When I first tried it I was a little thrown for a loop when I opened it. I was expecting jerk chicken but instead got shredded chicken with jerk flavor. The sides were good. I got the Mac and cheese and sweet yams. I figured that maybe there was a might've been a mistake with the chicken until I ordered again. The second time I ordered the Cajun chicken dinner. Well the problem with this one was again it was shredded chicken but didn't taste a Cajun flavor. Now I'm really wondering what is going on. Fast forward to last night when I ordered again bc I wanted to see if there was some sort of mistake with the jerk chicken and if it was corrected - I ordered it again and my daughter ordered the chicken gumbo- no no no!!! Everything was still the same with my meal as well as hers. Not sure what was meant by chicken gumbo and where the inspiration for any of these meals came from but they really don't need to do this anymore. And the prices are wayyyyy too high for what you get. I definitely won't order from here again. Fool me 4 times real real shame on me.

The guy that runs this place is super cool. The pizza is extremely tasty, the cheese sticks are phenomenal and the dipping sauce is nothing less than amazing. I've got only good things to say about this spot. Top-notch! I would absolutely recommend taste buds to anybody. You won't regret it- absolutely fantastic!

Super casual, ASU students frequent, ambiance is like a sports bar. Open till 2 am, good to grab some late night grub. Typical American junk food, great for a late night fix. The people running this place are friendly and have great customer service. No frills, easy going, hard working people. Stop by and grab a bite!

Food was good, service was great, and it's not busy at all. Along with the waiting time is around 5-10 minutes, isn't bad. Overall, it's a good restaurant and the ambience is good as well. The employee, assuming it's the business owner let me refill my water bottle without a problem.

Place is always clean, food is good and comes out fast and they have a lot of cooler drink options. And you can't beat $5 slices of pizza and drink

This place is awesome, so many choices of food I couldn't decide what I was in the mood for... the guy who helped me was super nice and suggested some things. I ordered late night at 2am the other night

The burger was fantastic, nice heat from the jalapeño, so if you're into spicy, try it out. The fries were crinkle cut, I know that matters to some, and were crispy. The atmosphere was calm, it didn't make you feel rushed. I talked with the owner a bit, he made me feel welcomed and valued. 10/10 would recommend if you're looking for a big patty burger!

When you walk in there is a large photo of a Mafia guy--definitely sticks with the theme of this place. There is a small dining room with a huge photo of their food truck, where it all started in Chicago. There is also a cute neon "gangster." We ordered an American Burger, a Shroom Burger, and a Big Mack salad (chopped lettuce dressed with thousand Island, topped with two hamburger patties, cheese, pickle, and sesame seeds). We really liked the burgers and salad a lot. The buns are so good. We got fries, and they were nothing to write home about. Drinks are sold in the can, and there is a big variety to choose from. The menu here is quite large and there is plenty to choose from, no matter what you're in the mood for. FYI--they win 2025 Best of The Valley!

Outside is just as high class and wonderfully decorated as the inside. We even got a couch booth and got to sit next to each other. We did the summer special which was the best special I've ever seen. $60 per person and you get a generous glass of wine, app, entree, and dessert. We both got the curried corn bisque for the app and my oh my I greatly enjoyed this even on a hotter day. The Smokey popcorn was a nice textural addition and the soup was so flavorful, the curry definitely shined through! We also both got the fried chicken for entrees; how could I not order the gluten free fried chicken!? Yes, naturally gluten free! This was outstanding. I'm not sure what the coating is, but it was so so flavorful and so crispy, and the chicken still so juicy. I could eat that on its own. The pepper jems were a cute touch! The mashed potatoes were so creamy. The chicken was placed on top of them so the bottom of the chicken did get soggy so my one suggestion is to place the chicken to the side, but the coating did rub into the potatoes which added some more flavor. The green beans were also tasty, nothing special, but the pistachio butter elevated it (nothing else needed the pistachio butter, not sure what else you use it for). I had a chocolate cake for dessert, the only gluten free dessert they offered me, but I still appreciate the option. It was just okay. The cake was dense and a little dry and didn't scream rich chocolate. There was a chocolate mousse layered in which helped. My boyfriend had some sort of strawberry cake mousse thing with layers of many different things - he thought it okay, I tried the mousse part and really liked it. We had red wine and it was delicious! The service was great, very attentive and they packed some ice in a cup for me because we weren't going home after!

This was years ago, before the speakeasy existed. I remember we were greeted at the table with glasses of champagne. Service was impeccable, food was delicious. We had one of the best desserts of our lives. 10/10 first impression. We went back maybe a year later after the speakeasy was built in, and it seemed like all their attention went to that instead. They were out of a bunch of dishes on the menu. I remember we all got our food except for my husband and we finally had to ask the server what was going on with his dish and that's when they told us they were out of that dish he had ordered too. They offered to make something else on the house, but at this point we were all almost done with our food so he ended up with nothing. They did try to make it right, I'll give them that, but it was a weird experience. We decided to give the restaurant one last try for my mom's birthday over the weekend and it solidified our opinions on this place. First of all, it's EXPENSIVE. I get it's Scottsdale but they are trying way too hard with $80 ribeyes and $1500 bottles of wine, but not giving you anything for it. Don't get me wrong, I'll enjoy an expensive meal when I feel it's warranted. The food, service, details need to go above and beyond to justify my $500+ tab. That's just not the case here. The server didn't do anything out of the ordinary. Didn't even offer a birthday dessert? We ordered salads before our meals and our entrees showed up two minutes later. My sister had her leftover pasta boxed up and they never brought it back. She asked about it and they said they could fire her a new one, but we were ready to go at this point. These are not issues you should be having at an upscale restaurant at this price point. After all this, we won't be returning. There are much better restaurants at lesser price points that offer amazing food with above and beyond experience. Everyone try Restaurant Progress instead!

Afterwards, he mentioned that he tasted it and agreed about our comments- I appreciate that level of attention. Shortly after, the food arrived. Spicy pork tacos for me, and BLTA for my wife. The tacos looked a little overdressed. I was so wrong. Flavor and texture were balanced perfectly. The tortillas were firm, but again, perfectly suited to the juicy pork, that had a teriyaki vibe. Sprouts, carrot and cucumber toppings worked well, despite my expectations. The BLTA was HUGE. Great flavor. Both entrees were ordered with sweet potato fries. Unusual cut to them, but seasoned perfectly. I paired mine with chipotle aioli and ate every last one. My only complaint is that I'm only spending one evening in the Phoenix area, and won't be back soon. I would eat this food three times a week without hesitation.

From the moment we arrived, the restaurant had such great vibes. There was also a subtle, almost secretive animal theme throughout the space that added a really cool touch. The hostess and waitstaff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The drinks were good, but the food was definitely the star. The milk bread was absolutely delicious, and the pibil dumplings were also really good. My only complaint is that they only came with three pieces, which felt a little expensive for the portion. The beef tartare was another standout. It was delicious on its own and paired really well with the banana chip, which added a nice contrast in texture and flavor. I would probably skip the white oak grilled skewers, though. They were pretty burnt, and unfortunately, they didn't really stand out to me compared to the other dishes. The ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection. We asked if they could prepare the two halves of the ribeye at different temperatures since my wife prefers her steak closer to medium, and they were more than happy to accommodate us. They even comped our milk bread because it took a little longer than expected to come out, which was a really nice gesture. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish.
