I stopped in yesterday to get my daughter an afternoon treat while spending the afternoon exploring Snoqualmie. I was glad to see some unique flavors (churro, banana bread pudding, cotton candy, and more) as well as some basic ones (vanilla, strawberry, etc.). My daughter ended up choosing the mango sorbet and it was tasty and refreshing on a hot summer day! I'd definitely come again next time I'm in the area. I guess 4 stars instead of 5 because customer service was kind of lacking. No greeting when we entered (and we were the only ones inside), and when I was ready to order, I stood there for a while and literally had to interrupt the two employees' conversation behind the counter to ask if I could sample a few of the flavors. The single scoop is a generous scoop of creamy rich ice cream, so a double and triple scoop would be a daunting task to finish for just person. Maltby!!! We came to maltby for an ice cream. Snoqualmie ice cream is known for their over the top deliciousness organic ice cream. Came here a few years back. They make everything in house. They had chickens! Back then, their organic, custardy French style ice cream were too velvety!! The fat content was over the limit for stores to carry ( something like 35%.. aka extra delicious) so they only sold it here! At least that's what I was told then. Now you can find them in stores! But the visit here! it is equally delicious this time around. Very decadent. And delicious! They had flavors like peaches, bourbons, lavender, double espressos and so much more! They also sell lattes and coffee drinks. Hard thing is picking one scoop! Also their little red barn is very cute and inviting. They have lavender plants! Pretty red barn, mugs! Why is Snoqualmie Ice Cream located in Snohomish? I don't know but am glad it is located close to us. Great ice cream spot with a lot of fun flavors. They have some of your typical flavors and some fun seasonal ones such as blueberry cardamom (which tastes like blueberry pie)! If you have kiddos do plan on sharing unless you want them to load up on ice cream. The smallest scoop is a single and it is a large scoop. I have no idea what exists in this part of town, but hey there's an ice cream shop. Overall there's nothing bad about this place, I just wish the flavors would've wowed me more/ hit me in the face. The S'mores and Mukilteo Mudd were just light, not sure I could've discerned their flavor in a blind taste test. The Cherry Chip was good with its chunks of fruit, while the most surprising (strongest) flavor was their Banana Cream. If I'm treating myself I'd prefer a thicker, more creamier ice cream. Haven't been here in several years. I wasn't impressed the last time I came here, and today I arrived here to find they are closed after August 30 until next summer. No one eats ice cream in the weather? I think they do. This seems like an odd and capricious business policy, but it does not surprise me from this company. There is nothing gourmet about the Scoop Shop. As an ice cream enthusiast, I love trying new places. After a scenic drive, my husband and I immediately pulled into the parking lot when we saw the sign for ice cream. It was an hour to closing and there was quite a long line. It went by quick considering there was only 1 person working at the window. We got the Mukilteo Mudd and Mint Chocolate Chip; both were underwhelming. The Mukilteo Mudd is supposedly made up of 4 different Belgian chocolates, yet it tasted like any other regular chocolate ice cream you get from the grocery store. The mint chocolate chip did not have strong mint and chocolate flavors; it was very vanilla-flavored. I would opt for Talenti's mint chocolate chip instead. We were disappointed and did not feel the products justified the price we paid. Oh well! read more

The best honey lavender ice cream I've ever had -- because they used plenty of lavender. I only tried one other flavor -- the blueberry cardamom, which I found overly sweet. But, the lavender... Wow. I almost didn't choke on the price, which was a little more than Salt 'n Straw if I remember correctly. The ice cream was creamy and tasted fresh and clean. I really liked how prominent the blueberry flavor was in the ice cream along with the whole blueberries, and the pieces of oat mixed in were a compliment of little crispy morsel in every bite.. Wow, wow, wow! I really don't care for soft serve because it is typically lacking in flavor, has a crystallized mouth feel and thus wholly inferior to custard or gelato. Well, Snoqualmie Ice Cream has completely changed the game with their soft serve! To make soft serve appetizing you need to add, typically, a lot of accoutrement. However, not here at Snoqualmie Ice Cream. Here the method they use to make the soft serve preserves so much of the fatty deliciousness of the milk that it creates a wonderful mouthfeel. Additionally, this then allows the flavor of the chocolate or vanilla to shine, which is what makes this fantastic because the chocolate they use is on par with what you would expect to find in Belgium! They also have scoop ice cream which is equally delicious. There are mainstay flavors and then there are seasonal flavors. For me this is great because it gives you something new to look forward to for every visit. I've consistently had the best ice cream in the state from Snoqualmie. I'm not a professional, but I have worked adjacent to ice cream enough to know some of the real deal stuff to look for - fat content, texture, overrun, etc. are all things I look for in ice cream. Snoqualmie's is simply the best I've found yet as far as straight up ice cream and quality go. You have plenty of hype and trendy brands to choose from in the Puget Sound, but I think this brand is the best as far as nuts and bolts go. Salt & Straw has cool flavor combos and mix ins, but their ice cream at a fundamental level isn't to the same quality as these folks. Molly Moon's (which used to source base from Snoqualmie if I understand that correctly), has tasty stuff and runs a great business, but their base quality doesn't seem the same as it used to be. So I love this place. I happen to be local which makes it extra nice. Our family goes here frequently during the summer. Thanks for being here, Snoqualmie! read more
