She took the time to explain to us how the gear is suppose to fit and to make sure we got the correct sizes. I will absolutely get my snorkeling gear here when I'm back in Oahu. My friend made a reservation after reading some great reviews about this place. We were the second group of customers and didn't wait too long before being helped. The staff was super helpful in helping us choose the proper fitting masks and slippers. She patiently answered all our questions and even gave a mini-tutorial on how to use the equipment. We had a great time snorkeling with the fishes at the Hanauma Bay and the rental return was extremely easy and hassle-free. We had a great time snorkeling with the turtles, having drinks and lunch. The crew was awesome along with the catamaran. I lost my underwater camera on the trips so I am disappointed that I do not have turtle pictures as it was great seeing them swim and come up for air. Had a great experience at Snorkle Bob's, thanks mostly to Melissa who was extremely friendly and helpful! $100 for a week-long rental of 2 snorkels, 2 fins, beach chairs and a cooler. There were some customers who were blatantly not following COVID protocols and Melissa handled them very professionally. If you are planning to rent snorkel gear, do the bare minimum research and make a reservation ahead of time, you will cut down on your own wait time and the wait time for the people behind you. Also, due to the ongoing pandemic of over a year- try and be considerate of the store's efforts to sanitize their gear and don't touch every pair of goggles, snorkels, and fins within arms reach. Make a reservation, respect the store safety protocols and have bare minimum consideration for the people around you and you'll have a great experience as well! read more

Love this place! Super cheap place to rent out snorkel gear for 24 hours. Pro tip: if you rent out equipment around 4pm, then you can return the equipment at 8am the next next day since Snorkel bobs closes at 5pm. The workers are also awesome! We had questions about where we should snorkel and the worker instructed us to call in the morning we decide to snorkel since snorkel bobs constantly checks the water temperature and their recommendations are awesome! We snorkeled at one of their recommended beaches and saw huge schools of fish! read more

We went here to rent snorkeling gear for the day, we were able to rent for a reasonable price for 24 hours. The worker was very helpful with explaining where to go and how the waves were that day, she also gave some recommendations of beaches to spot turtles at. There were signs that showed sanitized gear and things that still needed to be sanitized, everything was clean and I felt safe renting from Bob's. Very, very helpful staff and better equipment than is available elsewhere. The only (minor) gripes are that the fitting process is slow and the parking lot is small. Be prepared to wait and get there early to snag one of the few parking spots that they have. Overall, I recommend them as long as you can accept my minor gripes. I would highly recommend this place. The people running this place are extremely nice and patient. Even though there was a small line outside, they didn't rush us. Another plus is that snorkel bob has prescription snorkeling masks so if you wear contacts, you don't have to worry. They will have you covered here. He seemed to come off a little hard but he's a naturally cool dude!! He has a good sense of humor when he starts talking! He got us all the snorkel gear we needed and helped us with a lot of questions regarding the best snorkel spots! He even helped us book a spot for a snorkel trip! Again, ask for Daniel when you go..... He'll help you out! There is plenty of snorkel gear to choose from and he will guide you through it.... You can rent snorkel masks, fins, boards, etc..... Either way, absolutely will go here if we ever come to the islands again. We have had below average experiences in most places over the week long visit we are wrapping up in Oahu. Also fins are a game changer if you plan to snorkel. A friend and I went off of a Waikiki beach as well as Electric Beach. We were able to go out super far due to us having fins. $19 a day for the best package they offer. Less expensive for a whole week which I wish I knew to do early on. 100% worth it! read more

The daily rental is a 24 hour rental which was perfect. They have a drop box if you want to return the gear after hours and the system is easy to use. The gear was clean and even came with goggle drops so we didn't have to spit in the goggles! 10/10 I would go to snorkel bobs again!! read more
