Beef chow mein, pork fried rice , beef and broccoli and pot stickers

Please come and eat here. We stopped by after craving some authentic food and not disappointed.

    Menu as of 6/14/25

This location was in China Town, it's been a while since I found an authentic chines food establishment until today. Jokes aside, there were two older women in the back making the food and when I say, "this felt like a grandma made some old authentic food"! Grandmas cooking just hit right lol. The eggs rolls were so light and flaky and just SOO yummy and came out hot and cooked to order. Their sauce seemed to be house made? It was a little thicker in consistency for their egg roll dipping sauce which I enjoyed. The sweet and sour pork was definitely made fresh and to order. The sweet and sour pork had a crunch to it, YET it wasn't dried out, it tasted so fresh and prepared for order vs it sitting under a heat lamp like a lot of other establishments I've seen now a days. That's when the sweet and sour pork usually gets mushy and soaked in sauce. This was a perfect amount of crispyness and then dipped in sauce, cooked to order type of food. The sweet and sour pork was over a bed of white rice and had a fair amount of pork for being a "for one/individual lunch special". We also got the Mongolian beef. The beef wasn't chewy like I've had at other places and the flavor hit just right as well. The service was very kind and fast, the place felt clean and the ambiance in china town hit just right. It's been a while since we sat at a Chinese food place and said "this hit the spot and we need to come back" but I now know where to go to get some good Chinese food at a reasonable price. I'd give this place a 4 star rating, a 5 if the Mongolian beef had a bit more beef and spicier(like it mentioned on the menu, it didn't really have a spice)

Really wonderful hole in the wall restaurant just entering Chinatown on Grant. I was looking for a SF article listed restaurant that would have ultimately cost me more money and time but this place was so good and so convenient. Old school is usually the best. And very friendly lady who took my order. Very happy with my choice.

When in San Francisco I like walk around Chinatown searching for an authentic looking smaller sized restaurant which appears to be frequented by locals. No planning, no research. Menu in the window which sounds good. That's how I ended up inside Snow Garden. I had the Chicken Chow Mein and an appetizer of potstickers. Service was fast as was the kitchen. It was too much for one person to eat but it was so tasty I managed to. I will be making another visit before returning home. Check it out it looked like everyone else was enjoying their food as well.

This came with the combo, wr asked for it instead of hot and sour, really tasty!

Came while visiting China town with my family, a cute restruant, and the servers were friendly. The foods was really yummy and I was nice and full.

It was my first time here I ordered beef chow main . The food was not that good but it was just ok for a late night food and I was really hungry . The lady who was working there was so efficient and fast in taking the orders . I didn't appreciate them after all that they added the to to my bill without my approval.

    Delicious Authentic Chinese Food.

10/10 Recommend! Right in the heart of ChinaTown. We walked in with a group of 10 and were greeted and sat down very quickly. The Server was very nice and brought complimentary hot tea to our table. The price of the food was definitely affordable averaging $20 per adult. We ordered house fried rice, house chow mein, orange chicken, Broccoli beef, and the entire table agreed to exceptional authentic flavor. The decor was nothing to brag about but it was clean and welcoming. I will definitely be back here on our next San Francisco trip.

Taking a stroll from our hotel we ended up in Chinatown. How does one choose? Yelp of course! Unfortunately the map didn't populate well here for us. We read the menu boards out front of several places and decided to give this place a try. Service was prompt, with hot tea brought out with the menus. We decided on our entrees and while we were waiting we heard a commotion outside. They were setting up for a street celebration with drums and dragons. So we really had dinner and a show. We were told that it happens every Friday and Saturday night. Out dinner was served while we stood on the sidewalk watching the show. My wife ordered chicken with double mushrooms and I had the beef and broccoli and hot and sour soup. ( delicious ) Plenty to share and we still brought almost 1/2 back to the room with us. We would highly recommend, if you are searching for a good meal.

Our party of 4 ordered the fried hawt rabbit, spicy Singaporean crab with fried milk bread, Hong Kong black pepper steak, and beef chow fun noodles to share family style. Overall, we were super impressed with all the food. Everything other than the chow fun were super unique, but all the flavor combinations worked so well together. While the chow fun wasn't unique, I'd say it's still a very solid dish. Everyone in my party left full and satisfied. The food is a bit on the pricey side for it what it is, so I wouldn't come here regularly but I think that it's worth coming for a special occasion. Service here is super friendly and attentive--our waitress checked in on us frequently and brought us extra napkins and gloves for our food, which was super appreciated. I also appreciate the free peanuts and cucumber salad that you get when you're seated. My boyfriend and I ordered a lot of food because we wanted to try so many things! The lamb skewer was super moist and had a nice flavor. The XO escargot with milkbread had a nice buttery, garlic taste. The milk bread was fluffy and when dipped in the sauce it tasted very rich. We also got the clay pot rice and it reminded me of when I had it in China. The rice was crispy at the bottom and well seasoned. My favorite dish of the night was the squab. It was cooked excellently and the skin was really crispy. The five spice powder on the side really brought out the flavor of the meat. The eggplant was cooked well and portion was good but it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. Overall, I would visit this place again. It definitely lives up to the hype. The squab and and clay pot rice were the stand outs to me but all the other food was really tasty as well.

I do remember that I absolutely loved the Peking duck. They came with very thin, I can only describe it as tortilla crêpe things that you would put it in. I love this so much better than the standard buns. I also loved the fried string beans. It was tempura fried and very light. It didn't taste greasy at all. One thing that stood out was the restaurant's mandatory 18% gratuity, which is automatically added to every bill. While I understand and respect service charges, I also believe they should come with a reasonable standard of service. During our meal, we politely asked our waitress, Lily, if she could please bring us some soy sauce whenever she had a moment. In response, she audibly sighed, turned her head, and rolled her eyes, which felt unnecessarily rude and unprofessional. Throughout the rest of the meal, whenever we thanked her for bringing our dim sum, she didn't acknowledge us, and simple requests like refilling our water were ignored while she happily chatted with other coworkers and the table immediately next to us (which appeared to be people she knew outside of work). The rest of the staff seemed normal-friendly, which made this interaction stand out even more. Had the gratuity been optional, I would have tipped based on the service we received. Because it was mandatory, paying an 18% service charge for an experience that lacked basic courtesy and attentiveness felt particularly unfair and disappointing. This was my second visit here, but it seems bad service is not uncommon based on other yelp reviews.
