We got here after spending some time at Boyne Mountain and trying to find some good diner food. My husband loves this place. They are proud of their menu and everything is homemade. My husband got the special of the day, a prime steak open sandwich, and I got the Walleye. The steak sandwich is excellent, while the Walleye is a bit oily. They have great mashed potatoes, and the chipotle sauce is a hit.

It takes a lot for me to review a restaurant because usually they aren't worth the time and effort. I can almost always walk away saying "I could have made that and probably made it better". Forx changes that! INSANE food. Everything is homemade and you can actually taste the soul of the person cooking. It's not some teenager in the back dumping something into a deep fryer. It is someone with an insane passion for making food the way they would want it to taste. The result is astounding. Great service, very timely, very attentive. Restaurant is cool, low key, not noisy. It's all about the food. Forx serves high end food you'd expect from a much bigger City, in an unassuming rural pass through town. We won't be passing through Elmira ever again without stopping here for this outstanding restaurant. Don't walk, RUN here!

    The best meatloaf ever!

Food was fantastic! Best restaurant experience we've had in a long time. My husband said his meatloaf was the best he's ever had, and my Cobb salad was wonderful. Worth a drive from wherever you are! Service was great, and a really fun atmosphere.

Forgot to take a picture of the loaded fries before eating! This was $7 on the happy hour menu and DELICIOUS.

My fiancé and I lucked out because we were going to Railside for our normal Thursday night meatloaf special, but they were randomly closed. Ended up here at Forx and do not regret it at all! In fact, we've already been back since then! The service was awesome (we sat at the bar), and the food was INCREDIBLE. It's a big bonus that they have a lot of Grateful Dead decor since my fiancé loves them! The owner was there too and was so friendly! Happy hour is 4-6 Monday-Friday (closed Tuesdays), and has AWESOME deals! Check this place out if you're in the area!

After hitting the Skybridge at Boyne Mountain, we were heading toward Gaylord on M-32. We were NOT looking forward to the same old chain restaurants in town but thought that's all there was ahead. Passing through Elmira, I almost blinked and missed this place. I'd much rather risk my dinner at a local diner than have the same old stuff I could get at Any Other Town, USA. This could have been one of the best dinner choices I've made in a long long time. I believe the owner said they'd only been open since May (2023). It's not a big place, but it's very clean, and very friendly. Within minutes I felt more like a local than an out-of-towner. I ordered myself a Trifecta which is a blend of bison and lamb, topped with bacon. My GF got a pulled pork sandwich topped with slaw and Carolina mustard. We close things out with a slice of Andes chocolate mint cake. Like I said, the place was spotless, including the bathrooms. The prices were what I would expect, and certainly worthwhile. I don't know where they got their recipes from, or if she came up with them on her own, but she certainly has perfected them. My only complaints are that this place is too far from home, and that slice of cake was way too big for the two of us!! I'm definitely stopping by if I'm even remotely in the area.

Excellent food and service! Try the crab Bennie. It was delicious and our server was very attentive. They have some of the same breakfast items you can get anywhere and then a few yummy twists addd to the menu. Give them a try!

Good food. Go I'd friends. We come here multiple times a week, and we have never been disappointed Yo

The Farmer's Table is conveniently located just off the Wolverine, MI exit of I-75. It looks like it may have once been a gas station; very unassuming building with a huge parking lot for all sorts of vehicles, trucks and RV's. Once you step inside, the magic happens. Cute and cozy, filled with charming little tables and a mercantile area, the friendly staff will greet you and make you feel at home. Their menu is varied with many entrees made from locally sourced ingredients. This concept feels fresh and healthy, though the entrees themselves feel like grandma's cooking. Not fancy or trendy, but hearty, flavorful home cooking. My husband chose a pork chop, baked potato, corn and side salad. The photo of the pork chop looks juicy and tender; it was just that. He said it was the best pork chop he's ever had. The apple glaze was really good. I chose the chicken cordon blue, to sample something I would not make at home. It was rich, a tad salty yet very good. The side corn was amazing, as was the apple slaw. Next time I'll ask for mashed potatoes without the dark gravy. We took a small fried raspberry pie for dessert on the road and enjoyed mulling the through their homemade bakery items. The prices were very reasonable. We will be making this stop a regular on our way up north. Look forward to trying their brunch items, which get raved reviews.

They were kind enough to give us each a different dressings. We also split the hot beef sandwich. It was tender, shredded pot roast with jarred or packaged gravy ( still blobs of the mix on the plate) served on white bread. The meat was very tasty. Rustic mashed potatoes ( skin on) and a bowl of corn were the sides. Amish fruit hand pies and frozen meats from a farm along with jars of pickles, fruits and dressings were available for sale in a small market inside the restaurant.

The way in which he coaxed our individual tastes made the experience feel as if we were the only ones there. Good job! Food: well the shrimp appetizer salad and French onion soup were so tasty they didn't get shared. I think that says it all but wait, then there was the salmon with beluga lentils. The olive tapenade was the right balance of salty and savory for the Scottish salmon. Ambiance: the snow mound is gone and the lake can be seen again. The menu had a great amount of variety and the wine list offered some really unique tastes from around the world. I enjoyed the tuna steak for dinner and would recommend it. Kiddo loved the bread and butter that came with the meal. Our second experience still had great food, with the pork chop being my choice and one I would order again. We had a different server that night and he was MIA for more than half the meal. When he came back he asked if we wanted to-go cups for our beverages as he brought the check at the same time. Otherwise it was stellar all around. Would definitely recommend grabbing dinner here while you're in the area!

The establishment is very small, so it makes sense that it takes a while to get a table. But, it took about 20 minutes for someone to even come take our order, and even then they only came because we flagged them down. They were crispy, crunchy, overcooked and tasted like paste. I sent them back and overheard the kitchen staff state that they were fine the customer just didn't like them. Please TASTE the food you're serving, I can assure you, it's not fine, it's beyond nasty. Here's a tip, when cooking pancakes they should only be flipped one time. You pour the batter in 1 spot only and it will evenly spread, wait until it bubbles all-over the surface, then flip it. That's it! When you flip it over and over, it removes the light fluffiness and turns it into a crispy taco shell, like the ones you served me. Also, on over easy eggs, the egg yolk is supposed to be runny the whites are not.
