I called around to Office Depot & U-Haul and went to two other stores before I found exactly what I needed at Lowes, PLUS they offer a 10% Vet discount. I do say that working with Steven has been the best that I have ever encountered as he is very tentative and knowing exactly what I need to finish the project and having a wide variety selections and options to choose from, usually when you become a pro, they do try to see if there's ways to save you some money on the back since you are spending a lot. But they do offer perks such as cashback or bonus points to where you can get gift cards as well too and special Rewards. read more

Management at this store would not honor a price we found at the Rock Hill store even though we had been assured by personnel at the Rock Hill store that the posted price was corporate-wide. I can understand that it could have been a 'local' price but I was distressed to have been given the run around by Baxter management. Apologies to Lowe's upfront. Unfortunately for Lowe's they have to take responsibility for the contractors they deal with. I purchased a dishwasher on 8/27. On 9/3 the product arrived (according to the Lowes app). Shortly thereafter I received a text (only a text) from Reliable Services for an install of 9/18. I reached out twice to Reliable via text (as the phone # provided was not answered) requesting a firm "time" on the 18th for the install. No response. On 9/17 I called Lowes and spoke with an agent to confirm a time window for the install on the 18th. At no time during my conversation did I speak about or hear an reference to date change. After waiting nearly all day for the installers I called Lowes again only to find out the date of install was changed without my consent. Lastly, Reliable lied about having spoken with me on the 17th. When in fact all my conversation was with Lowes. read more

I would never purchase from Lowes again. I ordered all of my kitchen appliances in October 2022 (more than 4K). After 5 attempts at installing each of them piecemeal between Oct. 2022 and the end of March 2023 when I received the last appliance. Three times there were damaged microwaves delivered; shavings to clean up after drilling holes in my cabinet and nonchalant attitude of Lowe's executive customer relations staff. Even with the last one the Reliable services guy didn't show up until 11:35am when they scheduled to be arrived at 8-9:30am (his reply was he had an emergency). I received weekly meaningless apologies and no remediation when I contacted the CEO's office the first of March 2023. Very patronizing type interactions. No offer for remediation. I DO NOT EVER RECOMMEND them and the appliances look cheap even though they are LG. read more

I went to the Lowes on Hwy 160 in Fort Mill today at 8 am, when they opened. I hadn't visited the store since the COVID-19 outbreak had occurred and so I had a list of items to buy. I deliberately went at store opening as Lowes has been advertising that they are taking precautions for safe operation including nightly sanitizing. I thought this most likely also included training their staff.....but that was not a good assumption. Lowes has 8x11" pieces of paper with arrows showing the direction of the aisle taped at the end of each aisle, but their employees don't even follow them and therefore no guests follow them. This store's employees were only about 1/4 wearing masks and some of those had them around their necks or hanging from one ear, not on properly. There were markings on the floor approaching the checkout showing the 6' distance to stand apart from each other....but the only 2 checkouts open were right beside each other, forcing any guests checking out to stand within 2' of each other. When I pointed these things out to the employee checking me out, all he did was shrug and say yeah...I guess that's right.... I tried to call the store, but could not get through to a manager on any of the options I pushed. What I can say is that there is no way my impression of Lowes was one of a company taking precautions or training their staff to prevent further COVID - 19 infections. My impression was that there was no training or concern among the people working in their store today. It will make me pause and really need something before I go back. And I will most likely look for online options first. My store experience was VERY DISAPPOINTING and DISTURBING as it was in no way safe for their employees or guests during this pandemic situation. read more

Maybe it's just me, but when I spend $8000 on a floor, I expect the materials to be delivered the first time they are scheduled. Ok, things happen, mistakes are made, The year 2020 is entered as the delivery date instead of 2019. I rearrange my schedule so that the floor can be delivered another day. Again, no delivery. Call the store, which is the biggest cluster of people who do not care if the customer on the phone gets help or not. After the 3rd time we were disconnected, we ask for the MOD and we get someone on the line that says they are going to call us back. Fifteen minutes later, we call the store back and are told they are working on it. On what? Finding someone with a clue that can reschedule a delivery? I'm fairly certain that if they can log into a computer they can see the tool that is used for delivery schedules. Apparently he has to go to the flooring department to get help with this. Which, honestly, avoid that place like the plague. Rusty in flooring will talk your ear off about how hard his life is as a sales associate at Lowe's and how that place would fall apart without him. His co-workers even roll their eyes behind his back at his never ending yammering. Finally he calls back and tells us that we are correct, we were supposed to get the floor today and that he has no idea why we didn't get our floor. He has to email the delivery manager to find out what happened. Promises we will get our floor delivered tomorrow morning. I will believe it when I see it. read more

This store has gone down on Customer service. Imagine buying pavers, rocks and mulch with no help to load into my vehicle. If heading to the garden make sure to get a regular shopping cart from the parking lot if you need one because there is none in the garden area for you to use. The staff complains among themselves about cuts being made by new manager which is within earshot of customers. Who does that? I needed some paver stones and not a soul around to help. Had to lift them in the cart that I had to go back to the parking lot to get then load into my vehicle myself. Shameful! Had to match pavers I had at home or I would have left them right there. All these big box store seem to be getting worse. When I go to Ace Hardwares, there's more of a willingness to serve. How novel - customer service matters to them. read more

In the last city I lived in Lowe's was my go-to home improvement store. Now that I have moved and this is the closest store, I have not been impressed. Their shelves are generally stocked well, but they carry limited brands. They generally have the absolute cheapest version and the most expensive version of an item; I just want the average one. My biggest gripe comes from their appliance program. I have ordered a dishwasher, range & microwave from this store. My dishwasher was late, it took them 2 hours to find the microwave I bought that said in stock when I paid for it and my range, custom ordered due to color, took 90 days to get and showed up damaged. The whole back right side corner was smashed in. Now I have to wait another 90 days for another one, had to install the damaged one myself since I had already gotten rid of my old unit, will have to remove the damaged on and then, again, install the new one when it comes. Lowe's is offering me zero compensation for the issue, would not even have their team at least remove and install when they get my replacement or give me a preferred delivery when the new one comes in so I do not have to sit at home for 8 hours waiting from them to show up. Sad. Next appliance purchase I make will be elsewhere. read more

Lowes in Ft. Mill is one of the better home improvement stores in the area because of their selection, low prices, price match guarantee and customer service. I always find what I'm looking for and if I don't then there's always an associate to assist me. The low prices are also attractive and this location is always willing to price match as long as the item is exactly the same. Here you can also rent certain tools or items for your home improvement but I've never used them as I would rather have the item in case I need it again. The customer service is top notch most of the time. The associates are willing to help or ask if I need help when I look lost or befuddled. They are truly a wealth of information and knowledge and if they don't know, they'll find the answer. Management here is also wonderful and have a real understanding of customer service and treating the customer as they would want to be treated. I have made many a visits to the location and each time I've left the same as I've came...impressed. read more

Lowe's Tile Installation Problems 12/13/2019 On December 13th - 15th two tile installers from Service Pros Installation Group Inc. came to our home to install backsplash tile in our kitchen. All tile materials were purchased through Lowe's Home Centers Inc. and we entered into a contract with Lowe's for Service Pros to install our tile backsplash. The installers arrived at our home with nothing to cover our new quartz counter tops. I questioned this and they said they only had a small piece of cardboard (2 feet X 2 feet), so I offered them some old sheets to cover our countertops from dripping mastic and grout. They never did use the sheets and they never covered the countertops. They would wipe up any spills at the end of the day when they started their clean up. On the final day of installation they left grout residue on the tile and much of the kitchen dusty. My wife was looking at the tile work and didn't notice the counter tops until the next day. When they were leaving my wife heard him asking "did it come up?" She said "hurry up and get the car started and I'll be out soon." They knew they had trouble spots and the assistant used very poor judgement to try to clean up those spots. Whatever she used destroyed our brand new counter tops. The counter tops are scratched and the finish has been dulled by the chemicals they used. They must have used an abrasive pad for clean-up also, because they scratched out stainless steel refrigerator surface also. When we noticed the damage to our refrigerator and countertops we called Service Pros to file a complaint. We were told that Service Pros would send out a tile manager on December 20th to inspect the damage. I met the tile manager on the 20th and he inspected our counters. He agreed that the counter / refrigerator surfaces had been damaged. He asked if the contractors covered the counters and the floors and I told him they did not. He said it was against policy not to cover surfaces before starting work. He took photos of the damage and said he would turn in a report to his manager. I have not heard back from Service Pros about this report. I also contacted Lowe's Installation support Team immediately to report the damage caused by their contractors. The support team told me they would wait on the report from Service pros and then try to address the issues. Nine days later and Service pros still hasn't contacted me about the report. Lowe's did reach out to me and said yes the installers could have caused the issue, but if the countertops were finished correctly normal cleaning should not disturb them. This makes no sense, these are quartz countertops and the whole surface was finished the exact same way. The areas that were damaged are small and irregular and looks like someone was rubbing the surface. The area right next to the damage is perfect. Sounds like Lowe's is trying to blame the counter company for improper installation / finish of the quartz counters so that they don't have to cover the claim. We believe that Lowe's is trying to make the process difficult so that we don't follow through with the claim. The Service Pro manager said the damage was obvious, but Lowe's refuses to send me the final report. I don't understand why I can't see the final report. I have been working with a Cierra Kester from Lowe's Installation Support Team, but I feel they are being very vague about what they need to move this process forward. I will email her questions and it takes a couple of days to respond back to me. They say they need a "official inspection" but will not tell me what is needed in this inspection or if Lowe's has a certain form to fill out. I believe they are making the process difficult so that I just go away. Lowe's needs to be more helpful so that we can move this process forward. read more

Free wi fi! This is my neighborhood Lowe's and they always do a great job for me. Added bonus, they are just over the line in South Carolina, so I save some money in sales tax! I shop there regularly for garden supplies and birdseed, and stuff for my house. I love there Valspar paints too. Recently I chose Lowe's when I had to replace both my disposal and Microwave. I also bought new vertical blinds for my kitchen there too. I have always been impressed with their contracted installers. Everyone was on time, and polite. All the work was done in a timely manner and someone from Lowe's came by to check while my disposal was being installed. I will continue to shop this Lowes for its convenience and service. read more

Been waiting OVER A YEAR FOR A DISHWASHER. :( We bought a dishwasher in November of 2018. It's December of 2019 and we still have not received it. We were initially told that it was backordered and would get a phone call to let us know when one was available. Of course, we fully paid for it in store under the assumption it would be delivered. We were renovating a kitchen, so not in a rush. But after hearing nothing from them, our project at an end, we contacted Lowe's to find out what happened and when we would receive the dishwasher. After weeks of speaking to multiple people at Lowe's in Ft Mill and after going in person, they told us that our issue was with the distribution center and we would have to see if they would be willing to try to find the year old dishwasher, as if it were just waiting in a truck somewhere for a year, or if the delivery company would refund us. ... if they decided to. ... even though we never paid a distribution center any money, we paid Lowe's in Ft Mill. But Lowe's said it has nothing to do with the dishwasher now. What?? Lowe's is the one that took our money and promised they'd send us a dishwasher. We were also told that although WE PROVIDED LOWES the order and receipts for documentation, that they don't have records going back that far and that the distribution center did not either, that everything "falls off the system" after something like three months. Well, if that's the case we would naturally have no hope of ever getting a dishwasher OR getting a refund. And also, Lowe's would have trouble doing their own accounting every year. It sounded bizarre. When we went in in person to try to speak to someone to get help, it was evident that no research had been done to even try to find the paperwork yet. We were not getting a dishwasher. Oh, by the way, the manager was in store, but we were told that though he was in his office he had had the flu and couldn't speak to us. Interesting. We mentioned that to the register person helping us check out. They flat out said, "Yeah, that's a lie." Which on top of everything else just makes this place seem not only sneaky and incompetent, but like it's operating at a comedic level of crazy. So we called the national office's customer service. They said it was absolutely NOT Lowe's policy to direct customers to deal with distribution centers OR to simply not make a delivery on a dishwasher for over a year. They also said that, of course, paperwork does not just vanish into nothing three months after you make a purchase. It simply has to be looked up in a file. They contacted this Lowe's to speak to the manager. Ft mill Lowe's was supposed to call us with an update a week ago. We have had to purchase another dishwasher- obviously from somewhere else. Who knows if we will ever get a refund. I think you can guess whether or not I'd recommend using this Lowe's. read more

Horrible experience with this Lowes. I purchased a stove and refrigerator on 12/28/2019, and there has been a series of errors, including one item not arriving on the date we were told and I had to call to find out they were not coming even though the confirmed the night before. Then they called the day before the new delivery date to say that there was a payment issue and they were cancelling the order, this turned out to be their error and I was able to resolve it and the delivery date was set for Jan 1, 2020. The refrigerator arrives today and it is the WRONG one. Lowes this is unacceptable!!! read more

Andrew in flooring was very helpful and knowledgeable with helping select a carpet. An appointment was booked and paid for for someone to come and measure our home. The time frame was between 8 and 1. The installer/measurer was supposed to call to narrow down the time frame the day of the appt. This never happened. I called Lowe's at 9:30 for verification and was told that they would email the installer and have them call me. I never received a call and no one ever showed up. I called the manager of the store and he was absolutely no help at all. The only thing that he offered to do was to call the installer. Horrible customer service. Unfulfilled commitments. read more

So I decided to go and buy a security system for our office- Disaster in customer service happened,the cashier didn't know how and where to get my camera I gave him the pick up ticket and he Consult with 5 staff members that they were completely lost and don't know anything how to get a simple camera from their shelves- 32 minutes passed by and they still looking for a key to open the cage and look for the stock item in different places ,then looking in their monitors to see if they have in stock just to let me know that they have 2 in the whole store but they don't find it This is the reason why consumers Buy online- Who to blame ? DO NOT CONTRACT LOWES. I ordered a fence install from Lowe's. Price $3700. First Lowe's dropped off the materials in our driveway and then did not show up for there install date. Told us it would be another 6 weeks. When they were done the installer told my wife to not open the gate all the way or the door would break off. They did not measure the gates correctly so there was a 1 inch board on 2 of 3 gates that had the hinges on sideway. 1 was already cracked and the other hind he was popping out. My boards are not even close to being straight. Only 1 nail per post used so they are also twisting now. The fence just looks awful and it will not last long as all the wood is already warping. Lowe's has been saying they will fix it and then not showing up or coming out and not doing it for over 6 months now. Now Lowe's is offering $800 Refund and they will keep the $3100 and I will have a fence that is failing apart. Stay away. read more

I have had an incredibly horrible experience trying to purchase a washing machine from this location. The employees we dealt with were not helpful and screwed up our order. The washing machine was delivered to the wrong address due to their employee's mistake, so it had to be returned and reordered. I was promised that it would be delivered to the correct address on Saturday. It was not. Then I was promised it would be delivered on Sunday. It was not. Finally, they showed up on Monday afternoon without calling to tell me they were on their way. When they arrived, they couldn't get the machine open. They took it back and have again promised delivery tomorrow. This has been a complete nightmare and no one has been the least bit helpful. If you want to avoid a headache, go to Home Depot. read more

I ordered a fridge, microwave and range on January 2, 2020.. was told everything would be there on the 7th. We took the 10th off to give a few extra days. I finally called on the 9th to confirm and was then told we only have the range and microwave the fridge will be here on the 17th. So we rescheduled on the next time I could take off which was the 23. On the 20 they called and said we have the fridge and microwave ready to de not The range. I told the gentleman how was this possible you had the range and microwave last week. Needless to say it was all worked out and they were supposed to come on the 23rd. The young man dropped my fridge in the driveway and scratched it up and dented. The woman said oh it's fine there's plastic however the scratches were on a part that had no plastic so I denied it. It's very difficult to get a hold of anyone at this Lowe's or talk to a manager. Finally someone called after I talk to corporate and they told me my fridge would be delivered Friday evening late they were going to get it from another store. They did not bring my fridge yesterday I'm very disappointed. read more
