The experience wasn't even that painful! Such a cool and different way to experience a beauty makeover. With threading you can arrive with or without makeup. And the best part is that this service is great for all skin types and especially sensitive ones. This place is attached to the hair studio Citizen Salon Studios. Her space is brand brand new, so I hope others will find her, promote her and keep coming back, so she can expand and take on more services - wink wink nudge nudge! Not my idea of a brazilian. So, I returned with some apprehensions, but I was not going to be able to get to my regular waxer in Calgary before New Years Eve. That was enough motivation to drive me back into Keratic. Well! What a difference. This time, I was taken into a small room right off the neat main waiting area. Those who whimper beware, I bet sound carries from the first room. Her name was Sandeep, and if you go for a brazilian, I suggest you remember her name. She was gently spoken and not shy, waiting outside the door while I stripped off my knickers. She offered a towel that had been hanging on the back of the door, but I was a bit leery of it. Fortunately she put down fresh paper on the table. She was good, making sure she had a clear picture of exactly what shape I wanted the remaining hair to make. She was quick without being hurried, and she was thorough. Sandeep was happy to direct me in moving and positioning after I let her know I was willing to. The listed price on the wall was $45, but they charged me $52 at the cash register. Maybe their prices have gone up? Still a low price for a thorough brazilian. And lots of parking in the center of this new strip mall. I will be going back, but only if Sandeep is working.

She's a one woman operation, so you have to make an appointment to see her. My advice, call a week in advance, just to be on the safe side. Oh, and I should probably mention the most interesting part - her salon is on the third floor of a retirement community building. That bit never fails to amuse me.
