I then decided to schedule an appointment for my daughter, but the website was inconsistent with the actual hours of operation. A call was placed to schedule an appointment for my daughter and reached the new staff member that had previously provided incorrect hours of operation. However, I proceeded to make an appointment for my daughter which was for 4/16/19 at 4. Upon my daughter arriving she was told her appointment was for yesterday 4/15 and that she was a "No Show". Twice there was an issue with the same person's incorrect scheduling. The initial impression was great but fell short.

Best customer service I've had in a while. One of the arms of my Ray-ban came off the other day. I took a picture and sent it over to my very best friend in Germany, who is a very experienced and successful optician ,2nd generation. I asked him if I can just put some Gorilla glue on it to fix it. He didn't recommend it, instead he suggested to go to an optician and let them take care of it. He even told me how an optician could easy fix it. I looked up optician's in Philly and stumbled upon Snyder Opticians, 251 S 17th St with really good reviews. The only thing that held me back in the first place was I would have to make an appointment. So I decided to go to a different optician on South St instead. They told me that they wouldn't do any repairs for warranty reasons. I was really disappointed since in Germany every optician would do repairs as well, even when the customer purchased the glasses somewhere else or online. So since I needed my glasses I went to Snyder Opticians without an appointment, expecting they would tell me I have to make an appointment first. Instead they asked me to come in and how they can help me, offered me a seat and told me that they would take care of it and I just have to wait a couple of minutes. They didn't even ask where I bought my glasses. Immediately I felt they knew what they are doing. After a couple of minutes Mr. Snyder handed me my fixed glasses and said everything works perfect again. When I asked what I owe him he said that I'm fine. I couldn't believe it. Snyder Opticians gained a new customer today. I would definitely recommend it and not because I didn't have to pay anything but because customer service and satisfaction is their first priority. Took Mom to get new glasses after reading all of the other five star reviews and the folks at Snyder Opticians didn't disappoint. Mom has very poor vision, so it's super important to get the proper style, fit, etc. to optimize her eyesight. Plenty of frames and styles to choose from along with all of the latest technology to help you see your best. If you are concerned that an independent might be more expensive, fear not. Based on what we paid at Visionworks a few years ago (including designer frames), their prices are in the same ballpark and their customer service is absolutely, hands down THE BEST!!! Amazing service! I broke the frames of my glasses to the point that I wasn't sure if they could even be repaired. I rushed to Snyder Opticians right before closing to see if they could help. Not only did they fix my glasses like new free of charge, but they fixed them on the spot after they had closed the store. I even told them that I understood if they had to close and I could come back another day, but they insisted that they could take care of everything right away and not to worry. I bought a new pair of glasses with progressive lenses. My prescription is challenging and getting fitted properly is difficult and often unsuccessful. I went to Snyder Opticians to order single vision glasses, and explained the problem with my new pair, which were not purchased at Snyder. Within 15 minutes, they had evaluated the lenses which were not aligned properly and adjusted the frames so that the vision problems I encountered were gone. Just when you think "old fashioned" customer service is no longer a thing, Snyder Opticians will prove you mistaken. I went there yesterday, 1/2 an hour before closing, badly needing a pair of eyeglasses fixed (note: they'd been purchased elsewhere). The gentlemen who took care of me replaced the hinge, straightened the frame, and refused all my entreaties to pay him for his time, trouble and materials. This is a place to support!
