Great experience This was my first tattoo and after the service I got I would definitely go here again. The setup took 10 minutes alone and you could really tell everything was clean and sanitary. The studio was also very well-lit and organized. Sev was great --he was very meticulous during the whole process. My tattoo was very small and simple, but he really took his time and I am SO happy with the result. He printed out multiple sizes and helped me measure the exact area where I wanted it. He explained the whole tattooing process before he started --which I really appreciate since it was my first one. Didn't have the best experience. I can't talk of the tattoos, but don't come here for piercings. First off, I wasn't greeted when I walked in..nor was asked for my ID. So those of you under 18, go for it. I also expected the guy who pierced my nose to go through the process, as I was nervous (it was my first piercing on my face). But, nope he went right for it, didn't even show me the piercing or anything. I felt uncomfortable and scared throughout the process. He didn't inform me of how to clean it, how many times to clean it, when I can take it out. He simply pierced a needle through my nose and that was it. I don't even know if he sanitized the needle.. And because he was so damn busy talking to his friends, I couldn't even ask him the many questions I had. When I did ask him one question, he was looking somewhere else while answering. Rude much? I do have to say though, my wait was only 10minutes with no appointment and the piercing itself was fairy cheap(35$). But, I would wait more than an hour and pay more for a better experience. My piercing didn't feel right and blood kept dripping out of my nose, so I had to go to another piercing shop in Alhambra(Jul head). They told me the back of the piercing was oddly placed inside my nose, and said if it still doesn't feel right, to come back in a week or so. They also answered all the questions I had and cleaned out my piercing. Not only did I feel welcomed, but I felt comforted when they checked out my piercing. I'm glad I went to another piercing shop. read more

i was overcharged for a 1" black ink tattoo. $60. i've gotten better quality tattoos for $80 that had more than one color and were three times as big. i was not asked for my ID, i didn't have to fill out paperwork, when i went to get my tattoo touched up there was a guy smoking weed in the back (i am 420 friendly but this is a business where sanitation is important!) i was asked an inappropriate question about birth control. i think the guy who did my tattoo was stoned when he was doing my tattoo and i felt very uncomfortable around him. my tattoo came out alright for something that's just lines, but seeing the other work they do the phrase "you get what you pay for" is kind of a catch 22 since they like to overcharge for bad quality. read more

Horrible customer service, to begin with. I went for my first tattoo ever and I went there because I saw my bestfriend's tattoo that she had gotten done by Ivan, so I decided to go there as well and get a small tat on my wrist. 1. Ivan did not even talk to us at all, no conversation, very attitud-y. 2. He gave my an appointment at 6, but when I went he made me come back at 8:30-9PM because he had lost his phone and had forgotten that he had appointments at the time I went it. 3. When I went back in at 8:30, he gave me attitude like he didn't even want me there and he was tired. I mean, I get it, their job isn't easy, but that's no way of treating your clients. 4. They did not have me sign a consent or show my ID to them... Which I thought was very unprofessional. After getting my tattoo done, about 2 weeks later I started to see my tattoo disappear on the right side. When I went in to ask why it's disappearing and it's my first tattoo so I'm concerned why that happened. Sev ( the owner) was very rude and told me that since it's my first tattoo I'm freaking out when it's not a big deal, but I have seen others with wrist tattoos and they have only gotten it touched up after a year of having the tattoo. I have only had it for 1 month and I have to go to another place to get it touched up AGAIN!! since it has came off again. My tattoo just looks like it's pen drawn on my wrist. Very disappointed! I am so dissaponted. This is the second time that I have pierced my naval with Socal Ink and both times the piercer has done it slanted. I got my naval pierced and I ended up taking it off, I went into Socal Ink to repierce it and Ivan ( the current piercer) did not clean my naval prior to piercing, he did not let me know how to breathe during the process, and I was the one who had to REMIND him to clean my piercing after the project was completed. I am VERY disappointed and I will never bring any service to Socal INK. read more

In the mist of my excitement (which obviously really blinded me) I didn't even realize how bad my service was. Where I even tipped 5$ right after. I came in and asked for a nose piercing, I didn't even get to see if he actually sterilized the needle or if he just said he did. I didn't get to see which piercing it'd be either. He didn't really walk me through anything until I said I was getting nervous and he assured me that Id be fine. After the piercing, I waas fine but he didn't even tell me anything about how to keep it clean or how long it'd take to heal and all that Right after he finished w me he just turned back to his friends and kept talking like me and the ppl I came w weren't there anymore read more

I am very happy with my tattoo. The artist did a great job, but the service was terrible. Ivan, who did my tattoo, was very unprofessional. I got a small tattoo, which took only 10 minutes, but I was in the shop for at least an hour. He was on his phone non stop and kept leaving the shop while he was supposed to be helping me. Also, another customer walked in when he was about to start my tattoo and he helped them first even though I had been in the shop for a long time. He also did not have me fill out any paper work, which is fishy to me. It was a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend going to this tattoo shop. read more

The owner is super helpful with any questions and recommendations. He jus makes you feel like you're talking to someone you know, not someone trying to run a business and make a come up. I tend to lose my piercings all the time and felicity wasn't in last night but instead of turning me away to come back at a different time he did what he could do, with what I had. Felicity is awesome, super sweet girl that does a bomb ass job at her job. The team work is A1 there so it really doesn't matter what services you're there for(and who is doing the service) they'll all take great care of you! The guys were fairly friendly, but that's the most positive thing I can say. I went in to get my nose pierced and the guy who did it didn't sterilize the piercing in front of me. I didn't see him wipe down and sterilize the chair either. My stupid mistake, I felt uncomfortable and should have left before letting him do anything. He pierced my nose and I thought it was good to go, but 3 days later IT FELL OUT. There was no back to the piercing, just the stud. SEROUSLY?! I didn't realize there was no backing on it until it fell out. I've had my nose pierced once before and the back was so tiny, I thought this was a similar situation. NOPE. I should have listened to my gut and walked out before getting pierced. I thought it was all going to be okay but now i've wasted $35 bucks on absolutely nothing. Next time i'll leave if the place is dirty and unprofessional - lesson learned. read more

Getting a tattoo seems easy yet its really not. First, you need a clean shop. 2nd, you need a friendly, knows the business and make u feel at home atmosphere. 3rd, a good tat Artist. By going Yelp, i found this place in Glendale, "SoCal Ink". name itself sounds pretty cool enough but then when me and my girlfriend went to the shop, Game over! She walked out with a couple of great ink done by Ivan.. Cool dude and knows what my girlfriend wants. Next day, i came back to get my old Tat redone. Met the owner Sev and his buddy Lev. Two awesome dudes that made me feel at home. I had Ivan checked out my old Tat and he knew already what i wanted to do with it. No BS but my old Tat looks really boring but now it looks like it came back to life. Since i live nearby SoCal Ink Shop, i now have a local Tat shop and an Tat artist. Im definitely coming back! My friend and I both decided we want to get our Tragus pierced. We went to so cal ink and they were very friendly the second we walked in. She explained to us how the piercing was going to be done step by step. She made sure we liked where the spot was that she marked before proceeding: afterwords she explained how to keep it clean to prevent it from getting infected. So I accidentally ripped my nose ring out while washing my face on Monday night...and it went down the drain I was so busy that I didn't get a chance to go somewhere to buy new jewelry until tonight. Came for a couple piercings about three months ago. Wasn't planning on leaving a review, however after calling later for some aftercare advice I felt the need to. The initial experience overall was pleasant enough, however after three months my piercings still are red, swollen, pus-y, and painful. I have been using the aftercare treatment I bought from so cal ink religiously still and been very clean and careful, so naturally I was worried about what could have been wrong. After calling the shop, one of the guys gave the phone to Felicity, who then proceeded to tell me it couldn't be infected if I was cleaning it like I was supposed to, and that if it was infected it was my fault! She didn't offer any help or possible causes, remedies, or things I could do differently to improve the situation, just that I was the cause of whatever had gone wrong, which seemed extremely unprofessional. Not only this but then, right after she told me to not call the shop again but instead call or text her personal phone, as if she was trying to hide the issue! This alone made me very uncomfortable, but along with the fact that at the time of my piercing I was offered ten dollars off if I left a positive yelp review, it makes me wonder how many of these 5 stars were motivated by a discount. Overall, I can't speak for tattoos from the shop, but I definitely would NOT recommend coming here for piercings. read more
