I've followed Angie on Instagram for years and always admired her style, but I only recently decided to pull the trigger on a half-sleeve I'd been planning for a long time. I wanted a tiger paired with specific florals (forget-me-nots, honeysuckle, and narcissus paperwhites) all kept above the elbow. Angie brought my vision to life more beautifully than I could have imagined. The process at Baron Art was seamless. After submitting a consultation form, I heard back within 1-2 days and coordinated everything with Cat (Angie's assistant) via email. Cat was wonderful, detailed, and quick to reply. On the day of my appointment, I received digital aftercare instructions after I checked in. Before starting, Angie was incredibly patient. She adjusted the tiger's scale on her iPad to match my arm and printed several stencils to ensure the size and placement was just right. She then freehanded the florals, precisely incorporating the negative space I requested to keep the design from feeling too heavy. Angie is incredibly talented and has a light touch. Even the pain in the inner bicep area was manageable. She made sure I was comfortable throughout the 4 hour session, and the result was perfect. This piece means so much to me and is very close to my heart, as it's a memorial for my mom who passed away recently. The forget-me-nots were her favorite flowers, and the narcissus paperwhites and honeysuckle are our birth flowers. The tiger was the first stuffed animal that my parents bought for me when we first immigrated to the US. It was my "guardian" throughout my childhood. Angie, thank you very much for your kindness and for creating such a meaningful, beautiful piece. This was the first of two sessions, and I already love it so much--I can't wait to see how it turns out! Some notes: - Snacks: I brought along Gatorade and was sipping on it before and during my session. I ate some candy and had a protein bar during the breaks too. It helped so much to keep my blood sugar up. - Vibe: So relaxing! The studio was spacious, and they were playing a throwback playlist from like the 2010s lol. I was vibing out and didn't even use the earbuds I brought! Everyone was so friendly too! Throughout the session, I noticed a couple artists stopped by to admire Angie's work as she was doing the tiger :) - Parking: parking in this location wasn't actually too bad. There's a structure about a 5 min walk away from the studio down the street. Just turn right into the little street where the Arrow Lodge Brewing is at. I was going to leave my review as is but i will not be called a liar about my experience then pressured to delete my review entirely. "Regarding your wait time, management confirmed it was significantly shorter than stated" - attached are photos at 6:20pm on 4/11/26 aka the time i went in & upon arrival i asked to use the restroom, i took a selfie amongst other pics & the date & time can be found on each one. When leaving, i was asked for my information & to enroll in ur $5 off coupon which was at 8:16pm on 4/11/26. almost exactly two hours, not sure which manager looked into that but i did not randomly chose that number. Consultation - Tabitha asked via phone if i was given the option or made aware of threadless vs threaded jewelry, i was not nor was I given the option between the two. (Im assuming since you guys only carry threadless anyways.) Lacy said the piercings could get expensive when downsizing multiple sizes & when custom jewelry becomes a thing (she gave me an example of hers that have a wide flat back) which i understood. I was never told the jewelry on hand would be so flimsy or else i would have left with a spare set. or why wouldnt that be offered if its a known thing that theyre just going to break soon after? "our management team has reached out multiple times" - Tabitha called me on 4/20/26 at 2:03pm post yelp review & asking me to elaborate which i did. she apologized & said she would investigate & immediately followed up asking if i could "take down the yelp review" I initially agreed but im so glad i didnt. All that was asked of me was to pick a date & time & she will have someone replace the jewelry that broke at the el monte location but she would have to call me back & let me know if there was someone at that location who COULD do it & that she would call back. when she called back at 2:38pm 4/20/26 she stated ordering a threaded set would take 6-8 weeks & that she will order my downsize. we agreed on that solution & hungup. Then 4/28/26 Tabitha texts me & there was no solution so we could agree on so thanked her & left it at that (screenshots attached as well) "waived fees" - crazy cause you guys swear this is something special. when i get my nails done & one breaks theyre quick to fix it FOR FREE & not keep reminding me that breakage could happen nor badgering me that IM at fault for it/knew the risks. Theres no fee to waive if i want to put the jewelry in my own face for free which you guys denied me of because u didnt want to mail them to me. "we offered appointments at our other locations with free parking lots" - text attached of Tabithas convo but she definitely stated STREET parking, exactly how the LA location is so.. not sure where the "Convenience & Options" were. sorry it came to this Leo, maybe ask both sides next time instead of just listening to one. read more

Found Lu Lu on Instagram and really liked her fine line realism work. This was my first tattoo, so I was pretty nervous, but she made the whole process really easy and comfortable from start to finish. We did a FaceTime consultation for a fully custom piece -- I came in with a bunch of random reference photos and ideas, and she was able to put everything together perfectly. She sent me the draft early enough to make tweaks, and even redid part of it the night before my appointment. At the session, she spent over an hour reworking some details and testing placements before starting. The tattoo itself took about 3.5 hours, and she had such a gentle, steady hand that it was pretty pain-free the whole time. It's been a week since and it's healing great -- no itching, oozing, or scabbing, and all the lines are still super crisp. You can tell she really cares about her work. The rest of the Baron Art staff were also super friendly. The shop itself is clean, spacious, and professional, and they even offer you water while you wait. Only downside is parking; the street parking is 2-hour max, so you have to pay for a nearby lot if you'll be there longer. I would highly recommend Lu Lu and Baron for quality, detailed work in a really clean/chill environment. read more

She is usually booked months in advance so don't expect to be able to get an appointment within a month or two. I filled out the contact form online and received an email shortly after to schedule and discuss details of what I wanted. The process was super easy and simple. On the day of my appointment Angie was very professional and made sure the size and placement was to my satisfaction before starting. My cousin is here visiting and always he always gets a tattoo to commemorate their trips. I found this place on Yelp and decided to take them here because of the great reviews. My cousin had inquired about a flash tattoo and since we were a walk-in, I guess the girl at the front desk had to call in a tattoo artist. We received the quote for the initial design my cousin chose, and since it was a little more than he was expecting to pay, he decided to go with his second choice. We waited for about 30-45 mins and were then told that the artist wouldn't be able to make it because something came up. Lol okay. The girl working the front desk said their other artist would be available around 8pm. She suggested we get dinner and took my number down and said she would text once the artist was ready. Never received a text. Unfortunately, my cousins leave to go back home to Dubai tomorrow. Regretting not going to our other choice in tattoo shop. Disappointed in the lack of communication.
