Speaking on behalf of piercings because I've never gotten tattooed here, but they use cheap jewelry with external threading. Piercing keeps getting irritated due to low grade of jewelry. Recommend going to Body Electric on Melrose. Went in, got good quality anatometal jewelry, and the irritation subsided. Also was told this could be changed within three months. Such false information. Belly piercings take around a year to completely heal. Thank God I found an informed professional elsewhere. Up your jewelry game SoCal. read more

I decided I wanted to get my tragus pierced so I checked out so cal ink. They were very friendly the moment I step in. The piercer was very professional and made sure I know step by step how the process was going to be. Afterwards she recommended this ointment to use to prevent it from getting infected and also even said come back in a week for me to check it out for us just to be on the safe side. Wow this tattoo parlor is AMAZING! Today I woke up craving a new tattoo and since today was my day off from work I decided to give it a try . I remembered seeing this location a few weeks ago , as I walked in a young man named Ivan welcomed me in and I started explaining to him the ideas I had in mind. He showed me all his art work through an iPad, which made it a lot easier to see detailed work. I finally made up my mind, Ivan set up his work area showing me all the clean needles he would be using on me & explaining the process step by step. He's a very funny guy for sure! I walked in very nervous looking around the room curious to see the nice work of air brush with the name of the shop , the geckos they own & the fully stocked display of piercings. It was extremely clean, all the guys working there were super friendly which helped me not think of the pain. Ivan would reassure if I was okay every here and there and once we were done he showed me the ointment I had to purchase and apply on my new tattoo every single day. I def will be coming around soon again with more ideas for Ivan ! Thank you Ivan once again! I love my new tattoo and it was a great experience ! One new memory to the heart!
