Much better than when it was Frantones. I was worried it was the same pizza with new name, not the case. I felt the pizza was very good, cooked nicely and evenly. Crust was delicious, I overlooked this place so many times, it wasn't special or mind blowing pizza but just a very good pizza if that makes sense. I think the place needs to be a bit more engaging. I usually come here for lunch. The price is right on their lunch specials and their food is excellent. The service is friendly and most of the time your food is up fairly quickly. However, once in a while your order comes out VERY slow, where the rest of your lunch group are more than half way finished (if not finished) when you finally get your order. Took my family today to SoCal Pizza for a complete Pizza dinner medium Pizza family salad wings and soda. I normally enjoy this pizza place but today we got the family salad and they gave us two small containers of ranch that are each about 2 oz so I asked for more cuz it's a salad right and they informed me that they were going to have to charge me. I was like serious I ordered almost $50 in food and I ordered a salad and I want more dressing for my salad and I told them no you're not going to charge me for more dressing I ordered a salad it comes with the dressing. We asked the waitress to tell a manager and the manager came over to debate a 50 Cent charge so they were willing to risk losing a customer for $0.50 that's stupid management I won't go back there. The manager finally did give us one extra Ranch but she cost the restaurant a customer. I went to this pizza spot to redeem a couple gift certificates I won in a raffle at school and upon handing them to the store manager/owner he informed me that those gift certificates were over 3 years old & he became very hostile with me. I won them in a raffle about a week ago now & they did NOT have an expiration date on them. He kept asking me how I got ahold of them even though I told him they were won in a raffle. They were only worth $20 total so I wasn't sure why he was so rude and his tone was very accusatory. He kept saying maybe he'll take them, but he really shouldn't. After a long deliberation he decided to honor them. I ordered an x-tra large pizza to go because there was a creepy employee behind the counter who had a serious staring problem. It was honestly very uncomfortable. After ordering the pizza, I waited about 15-20 mins, and took it home about 10 mins away. When I opened the box, the pizza had cooled and the slices were stuck to the box (because of the cheese). removing the pizza from the box was nightmare because all the cheese and toppings would fall off. The taste of the pizza was ok, but honestly I will NOT be returning to this pizza place because the manager was so rude. The price was only $2 more so it made sense to get two more slices of pizza and a salad. The salad was pretty good. Seemed freshly made. They ask if you want everything in your salad instead of just putting everything in it. Big plus for customization. Plus, it probably saves them money. Dressing on the side so you can put as much or as little as you want. The pizza was pretty good but not the best. It was a thin dough but wasn't overly burnt (like a lot of other thin crust are). For me, I prefer a thicker dough. Also, the sauce was lacking. But the cheese and pepperoni were just right. A good amount that covered every bite. My only complaint was they took my plate before I was done. I was getting a refill and had one slice left. I guess they assumed I finished. I was sadly disappointed when I returned to my table. I would return if I was in the area but I wouldn't go out of my way to come. And if I did come back, I would make sure I informed the staff I wasn't done. read more

By the time I found a spot, put my stuff down & got my drink, my pizza was already ready. Perfect! The girl who took my order asked me if I wanted pepperoni or pepperoni & sausage, I choose the latter but my pizza only had pepperoni,not a big deal tho it was super delicious. How is this place still open?! Tonight my niece had a fundraiser at SoCal Pizza. Granted, I was not expecting the best because I'm sure this place still needs to make a profit, but tonight was absolutely horrible! First, you had to pay for a drink in order for your ticket to be valid after already paying for the ticket itself! Why?! So we pay for our drinks and have a seat. Although service was quick, the sight of the actual meal was quite pathetic to say the least. The ticket claimed we were to receive two slices of pizza and a salad. Our meal was ONE regular sized slice CUT INTO Two and we each got one HANDFUL of salad! When my sister asked "this is two slices?" The owner replied "IT'S A FUNDRAISER" in a disgusted tone. The food was good but the host who works at the front was so unpleasant & unprofessional. I believe her name is Dalia cause that's what it said on my receipt. She was yelling across the room to ppl in line with an attitude. When she rang us up, she had to worst attitude and it wasn't just us, it was other customers in line. This was our first time there and it was so hectic. Customer service is important with this type of business, especially for ppl who come in with their families. I have been waiting in line to vote at a City Clerk's Office in Norwalk for 2.5 hours now, and twice, the poll workers have walked around with FREE PIZZA that was actually really good. There are like 300-400 of us in line and free food was the last thing I expected. I asked around and learned it was donated by So Cal Pizza. KUDOS TO YOU SO CAL PIZZA FOR BEING SO KIND. This place just opened recently, so I had to try it out. They do slices from 11 am until about 2 pm. which is what I like. I went in one day a little late and they ran out of slices so the cashier suggested I get a lunch special with 10" pizza, small salad and a drink. The salad tasted good and I don't normally like salads. When the pizza came I could see that this was more than I could eat. I did take a little home. I like this place because it is not assembly line pizza like the other places and there is good quality behind it. One thing though, don't get too fancy with where you want your sauce, because a half no sauce pie is something they just don't do. Nice place to watch TV and dine.
