I begged him to send someone out on a Saturday - so rare! But Eduardo came as promised, spent an hour thoroughly examining our unit, confirming there was no electrical issue, but gave us the honest diagnosis that as our unit was so old, it would be extremely difficult to source parts. He said he could put a bandaid on it and keep revisiting the issue or we could invest in a new unit and even lower our electricity bill that way. We took the second option - and we are glad we did! AJ, Pablo and Marco came bright and early on Monday to work on everything. As I worked from home, I did not hear a peep from them. They did everything quietly and were a well-oiled machine. They were so thorough and took the time to explain things to me and my husband. They were genuinely happy to do their jobs. The 3 of them did so much back-breaking work all the way till past 6pm. We were so grateful for their dedication. When they finished, we had beautiful cold air coming out of all our vents. They cared not just to do the job well, but to make sure they left us happy and satisfied. The company founder Tom, even came out the next day to check if everything was done correctly. The gentleman told me that he would order the part and it would be a couple hundred bucks, he'd call me in a few weeks to schedule the installation. I called All Air to follow up six weeks later, said the part was ordered and should be in soon. I called after the new year. Said the part was backordered (this was around the time that COVID was causing supply chain issues, nbd.) Said that I can call periodically to check on the status of the part. I called at the end of February, said the part was still backordered. I called in April. Said the part was still backordered. I called in June. Said the part was still backordered. They recommended that, if I was going to be this impatient (!?) that I should just order a new oven. I told them that I had already waited over six months and that I would just keep waiting. I called in September. Same old shit. Once we hit the one-year mark, I was mad. My patience had been tested. I asked the manager to give me a call. The next day Yvette calls me and is very apologetic. Turns out, THE ORDER FOR THE PART HAD NEVER BEEN PLACED. I'm not even joking. They kept assuring me that "they had problems with this repair person not following-through" So the people in the office kept assuring me the part was backordered, which was a bold-faced lie. Despite me checking back over and over again, no one was actually following up on my part. Amazing. On December 23, 2022, the part finally comes in. You ready to spit out your drink? They quoted me almost $900 to have it installed. A totally new oven was less expensive. I declined, obviously, especially with tepid apology and absolutely no empathy for this rotten customer service endeavor. I will not be a repeat customer.

I didn't know anything about the capacitor or how to go about changing it. Well, turns out that it was a relatively easy swap. Actually it was a VERY easy fix. Literally 2 screws and 3 wires and we're back in business. The job took about 5 minutes to perform and he charged me $170. $170 to swap out a part that cost about $30 bucks( I Google'd it) and 5 minutes to swap out !!! Sure he got me up and running again, but c'mon. Charge people based on the difficulty of the job man ! Also turns out that I needed more freon for my unit. He didn't carry my type of freon (R-22). You're an A/C repairman and you don't have R-22 freon? What the heck dude?! He went on telling me that he could replace my freon with the more environmentally friendly type quoting me $400 for the total job, including the capacitor. I asked him if he had the freon with him, he told me he would have to go back to his shop and get it. So you're an A/C repairman who carries no freon around doing service calls? Sure he got my fan up and running again, but didn't solve all my issues to get my A/C running like it should. He's a nice guy and did squeeze me in after-hours, and for that I give him 3 stars.
