One thing to note, LA Smog was a tiny bit tricky to find as the signage was hidden by a tree from the direction we approached, and there are other [more expensive] smog places nearby, but just follow the address, 410 N. They just said to come any time on Saturday and optionally call in advance to check on timing. I called and walked in and out on Saturday in 15 minutes. Passed the test, on with my life! I did have one hiccup throughout the process that was my own fault, but they handled it so graciously that I thought I'd mention it here. I didn't receive my tags in the mail after the smog test, so I called up the Santos guys and asked them if they submitted the paperwork. They were perfectly helpful and kind, and they double- and triple-checked to confirm they absolutely did send in the paperwork... and they were right. My damn tags were stuck in my mail slot! Btw, there isn't one guy or family named Santos. It's just the name of the joint, and they say they're all Santos because it means "saint". Genius.
