I am glad I ordered ahead of time because I had a pick-up at 3:05 PM on a Friday. Only one person was there doing the cooking and taking orders. I had ordered Original Kimbap, 10 Pcs. Fried Chicken Wings no Sauce and Tteokbokki combo. Lets start off with the Original Kimbap. The portion size was spot on. Not to big and not too small that you can finish it in 3 minutes. The rice was tender and the vegetables were crunchy. I'm glad I ordered Tteokbokki because that sauce made it even better. 10 Pcs. Fried Chicken Wings w/ no sauce. I opted out of adding sauce because I wanted to taste what the wings were by themselves. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. Crispy, crunchy and flavorful. They were not big wings but not so small that you can finish the whole wing in one bite. What I do regret is I should of ordered the 24 Pcs. instead, but that is the beauty of going back. The last dish the Tteokbokki combo. The sauce was rich, sweet with a little spiciness to it. The rice cakes where not to gummy or to chewy. It comes with a hard boiled egg, fried kimmari, fried mandu and a cup of soup. The fried kimmari and mandu both had rice stuffed inside of them. Which for me is fine because like I said before I liked the sauce and those two items help soak up the sauce nicely. I didn't expect to get a whole egg, I was expecting half of an egg but it was a nicely battered and fried up. The soup, which I believe is a miso soup, help to really cleanse the pallet after all the richness of the Tteokbokki and fried items. If I am ever craving Korean food, I am making a mental note to come back here and ordering something else just to get more tastes of what they have to offer. read more

The kimbap carried well and stayed fresh and delicious for them to enjoy after a long day of travel. I got 2 beef kimbap and 2 mayo tuna kimbaps, and I got a spicy mayo tuna for myself. I had to check this place out especially since it's literally 3 mins from the Costco in Commerce. This restaurant is located in a busy strip mall that has a Kroger. It's in the middle of several other stores (I can't remember them) and could be easy to miss but there is plenty of parking! First off, this place is super small, maybe 2 four-tops and 2 two-tops (bummer because I was considering this place for a big group but it would be very awkward for a large group as it would take up the entire space). I opted for take-out and ordered a Spicy Pork Gimbop which comes with a small miso soup. The service was excellent and was fast so I didn't have to wait too long. The prices for the soups and other items are great (I'll have to get takeout again to try). My hubby enjoyed the Spicy Pork kimbop more than I did (I should stick with Beef or veggie;) but we did enjoy it very much & it has a pretty good spice level. It comes in a cute box too! Dine in and carry out. There are 4-5 tables and bar seating. We ordered ramyun, 10 piece fried chicken, kimchi jeon, and tofu kimbap. Everything that we ordered was tasty. Good portions. Only two people working the entire place, not sure if that's the norm. 40 minutes before closing, they started to turn people away and said they're sold out for the day. Nice staff and explained the menu well. The rolls were just awful. We ordered the spicy tuna which tasted like fishy, canned tuna. And ordered the tofu which had stringy, overcooked, flavorless tofu. Both rolls had the exact "vegetables" I guess. It was served with possibly miso soup (they didn't say). We walked out and left the food. I can't figure out the high rating of this place. I've been wanting to come here for some time now and while I still haven't dined in, I finally did manage to get carryout from here! I got the original kimbap and a mayo tuna triangle (aka onigiri). Both were SO delicious and filling! The triangles are a good size and the kimbap was cut into so many slices - these two filled me right now on top of the seaweed soup that came with my order as well. The original kimbap was a perfect blend of ingredients and flavors! It didn't need anything additional to dip it into and the ratio of the rice to filling was more than perfect so you didn't feel like it was a mouthful of rice only at any point. My friends all got different variations of the kimbap. bowls, triangles, and soups and all of it was so delicious. We were all very pleased with our food. It's very vegan-friendly - we had 3 people in our party who are vegan - and very reasonably priced! I will absolutely be back soon to enjoy even more of their menu! read more

Loved the food! Tiny hole in the wall spot. They don't have bathrooms so your best bet is doing take out. My gf had the vegetarian roll and she said the tofu wasn't great, so I don't recommend that one. I was though very very happy with mine. They made sure to only use items that were gluten free and gave me more veggies to make up for the other items they couldn't use in the roll. Please know when you read tuna roll, it's cooked tuna. Taste like tuna from a can, which is fine if you aren't thinking you are getting raw tuna. One roll is very filling so order accordingly. read more

We ordered 2 kimchi tuna samgak Kimbap (triangle), original Kimbap, spicy tuna kimbap, tteokbokki. $34.95. There is a Kimbap and food program playing in the corner TV, it gets your mind mentally prepared to eat some Korean food for sure. Even got to watch the Korean Kimbap master. I didn't get a spicy Kimbap roll as ordered, but I just added kimchi and tteokbokki sauce to each bite to give it a bit more heat. The tuna kimbap is fresh and pretty well packed, tastes good. The original Kimbap is good as well. I do like that there is a place to just get Kimbap. I have only ever been able to get it at a Korean store only. Not a bad thing to have a Kimbap shop not too far at all. The tteokbokki is not too bad at all, the rice cakes are nice and chewy and not overcooked at all. The two ladies out front checked up on us and made sure we were happy and good and enjoyed the food too. They were both quite nice, want to make sure you leave satisfied. The food deserves above the 5 stars! The food is authentic as it can get and the rolls were beautiful and absolutely delicious. I thought of docking two stars but didn't have the heart since I really liked this hole in a wall spot. Again, the theme here is amazing food. However the service was beyond slow and took almost 40 minutes for some triangle kimbap and regular kimbap rolls along with some spicy rice cake dish and ramen. If you have the time stop by please do it but it took so long (two people working) and so at least you know food is made with real effort and patience. If you're in a rush perhaps call ahead or ask how soon they can turn around the food. Very cute little mom and pop shop. Located in a shopping plaza. The service was very quick. The Kim Bob was very delicious. We enjoyed it. We tried three different versions of it. We ordered the original, the spicy pork, and the spicy tuna roll. All them very good there's approximately 11 pieces per roll. It cost $8.95 each. Good food at this location. I love coming here. I usually get the beef and beef kimbap. Their food is super fresh. Nothing is premade. It is all made to order. The mandu is good too. This place was amazing. When I heard about it I was so excited to try their kimbap and I was not disappointed! So fresh, so scrumptious. We went for a nice lunch. We got the tea, it was nice and cold. I enjoyed it. My daughter is not into this type of tea, so she got a yukult which she loves. We ordered the traditional kimbap. It was fresh and had a bit of everything, tender rice, and nice crunch, good ingredients. We tried to tuna mayo triangle which was so perfect. And I know there are different types of kimbap and onigiri but this tasted exactly like being in Hawaii. I also got a carryout for my child who likes to snack on these at home. We tried the spicy pork triangle what nice a meaty with the perfect amount of spice, just a tingle, nothing uncomfortable, just a slight bite. We also had the fried manu with chili soy dipping sauce. We were served the crispiest, crunchiest pots stickers that remained crisp the next day. We loved all of the food. It does get a bit busy and when we arrived one person was working there and had to take all of the orders and prepare all of the food alone. So it took quite awhile but was worth it.
