One of the time I make my appointment at 9pm, I got to the parking lot at 858pm. My massage told me okay, it's done at 950. U do the math. I am a repeat customer for back and foot massages. They have a frequent customer card where the 10th is free. You really can not beat the price for a foot massage which is standard but I have been to multiple places and have found this is the best. My sister and I got certificates to come here for a 1 hour foot massage. The massage was decent, but quite strange since it's supposed to be for your feet, but they end up doing your whole body. At the end of my hour, I was relaxed and ready to go. When we were leaving, my sister handed her masseuse a tip that was intended to be shared with my masseuse. So as I was walking out the door, my masseuse stopped me and asked for her tip. I then proceeded to explain that the amount given to the other guy was supposed to be shared with her. I have been getting massages for a long time, 5 + yrs, and I am very picky, because I like a deep strong massage. Not everyone knows how to give a deep massage. I have been coming to this place now over a year, after my favorite masseuse at another spot left. As you walk in, it's quiet and someone meets you or is at the desk. As a walk in, I haven't waited more than five minutes, but I know schedule my appointments. I have gotten the foot massage and the body massage, my favorite is body massage. Everyone is polite and friendly. Throughout my visits I have had different masseuse and I have found all to be very good. If I have a particular area to focus on, they are accommodating. I am now a regular and go anywhere from 2 to 4 times a month. If I feel like talking they talk or just stay focused. I would recommend Michelle highly, very friendly and has great strong hands. She has a good sense of what needs to be focused on. The price is right on and competitive with other places local places. read more

I called for the first time and made an appt a few hours ahead of time for 2. Half an hour before my appt I have a missed call from a different number. I get a text from that same number "Hello, this is so relax massage. You have an appointment for 8 o'clock. Could you come earlier?" I call the number back and some random guy answers and says I have the wrong number. So I call the business number back to see what's going on. There is a language barrier but from what I understood, the lady was telling me everyone was going home at 8pm. Their business hours state they close at 10pm! She didn't give a reason when I asked why. She was pushy and rushing me, wanting to know how soon I could get there. I'm driving from 20min away. It seemed like I was being rushed and no one wanted to be there to give me a massage. What's the point of business hours? So I'm being contacted by weird numbers, and my business isn't wanted. Absolute worst massage I've received in the two decades I've been paying for the service. My daughter and I scheduled the 30-min foot/30-min $30 body massages each, and I regret not to have found out the name of my Masseus but he was also the guy who received us when we came in at the front desk with air pods in ears- short, older Asian male probably between his late 40's to early 60's, I couldn't tell but he was probably the eldest male there tonight. We arrived a minute before our allotted appointment and were told to sit and wait to get inside. Service started at 9:05. I told my Masseus I liked hard pressure. When he began on my right back shoulder, already you can tell that he was using only one hand and stopped frequently. Must've been pre-occupied with something, I guessed. It was about five minutes of this on the one area with just his one hand at stop and go. I looked over to my daughter's Masseus and saw that she already started on my daughter's arms to her side whilst mine was barely beginning on my left shoulder/neck area with still the same "intensity" if you can even call it that. I could see light emanating from behind/above my head at my peripheral vision so I figured he must have some important business he's texting, I decided to let it go for now. He eventually got to my left arm and was done by 9:15 to get ready to remove the water that had soaked my feet. He left and did not return for a full five minutes after to get back to my "massage" at 9:20. Almost immediately as he sat down to get to my feet, he was chatting it up with my daughter's Masseus next to us whilst massaging with a lot less pressure than I had asked for still, even if this time it would be difficult to only use one hand on my feet so he used both. I've observed when Massuers notice that their guest have dozed off underneath the towel on their face, some will relax and not work as hard thinking that I've gotten quiet- maybe sometimes my snoring betrays me as an easy give-away. This is usually when I make up my mind as to how much I will tip my Masseus if they keep at a consistent steady pace even if they thought I was asleep. I was already making up my mind that I wasn't going to tip this guy, much more pay the full $30 that I should owe had he properly given appropriate service as listed on their kiosk outside. I watched the clock closely as he massaged my feet for ten minutes then took three full minutes to return with my warm wet towel to wipe my legs down. I was jealous of my daughter next to me, looking as relaxed as I had hoped to be by now. He massaged my thighs and legs for a couple of minutes then instructed for me to get on my stomach for my back massage. Hmm, clearly I did not receive 30 minutes on my feet. I gave him a chance, maybe he'll really get serious with my back, it's been a long week and my back had really bothered me, I was here for relief after all. He started off with the right side of my back and for a good five minutes, was only again operating with one arm, his elbow to be exact, to do the massaging. At no point had his fingers or hands touched my back, I had guessed that he was probably still pre-occupied with his phone. It doesn't take a genius to know when I'm not getting the service I'm paying for, so I look up to confirm my suspicions and tell him to go harder because I didn't feel anything. He puts his face closer to mine, dumb-founded and thrown off that I would lift my head to talk to him, I suspected this was to try and hide his phone away. At this point, I got up and hurriedly collected by belongings and said "This is over! You have been more busy with your phone all this time, rather than focusing on my paid service. Let's go", telling my daughter to get up. Sure enough, his phone was hidden behind his right buttocks, screen lit up in use. I don't know what he was so busy with- there were only maybe six customers there at that time- if he was caught up with important affairs, he could assign someone else on me. My daughter's Masseus came after us and I know she was not at fault, she was very apologetic for her co-worker's behavior, and I paid her $25 in cash for her time although we were technically only on the beds from 9:05 to 9:50. My daughter did say she was good so I'm at least glad she wasn't slighted like I had been. Needless to say I have no plans to return even if I've come to this place before! I don't see how this guy was so oblivious to the fact that I constantly looked up at the clock every time he got up, I always made it known that I was not asleep, kept moving my hands hoping to keep him honest but he was just that self-absorbed on his phone and whatever he was reading or whoever he was exchanging texts with, he couldn't be bothered to notice. There are literally at least forty massage salons in South Sac and Elk Grove combined- be smart with your money and take it elsewhere than to chance this kind of disappointment and frustration. read more

It was my first time getting a massage here. I got a 1 hour massage. It was okay. After my massage was done I went to the front counter to pay. Before I could pull out my wallet to pay the woman that massaged me she told me I had to tip and told me exactly how much. I said I will pay for the massage and I was gonna tip you but you lost my respect when you were being rude by telling me I had to tip you and telling me how much. I was so shock I couldn't believe it because that has never happened to me. I had the intention of tipping her even though I felt the massage could've been better but I felt so insulted that she told me I had to tip her and telling me exactly how much. When I left I called the manager and told him what happened. I said I would like to return but I do not want this to happen again and I would like someone different to massage me next time. The manager thanked me for calling and telling them what happened and said they will have a meeting with all their masseuses and tell them to not ask for tips. He said you are not obligated to tip. The manager said they still get paid. "They aren't homeless" he said. He said that the owner is paying for their training and school. "And you can choose how much u want to tip or you don't have to tip at all". So they only get one star from me because of their rude employee. They need to train their employees better. I typically never get massages (full body) but today I thought as well since my body has been feeling tensed lately. Upon arriving to the place, there was no one in the front to greet so I stood there for a while until someone came from outside, mind you I called before coming. They made me pay ($40) before I got the massage which I found odd but I went ahead with it. The lady walked me to the room and left. Given I don't usually get massages and every massage place is different, I wasn't sure what to do honestly. After a while the guy came and I asked him whether I get a robe or just get under the sheet. He was polite and told me what to do and stepped out. The massage itself was okay. The guy had a heavy hand so my most tensed area were very painful but I endured it because I needed to get rid the knots. The massage portion was not too bad so I'd give it a 3.5 out of 5. However, what really threw me off and made me give a 3 to this was the conversation at the end. As I was leaving the guy asked me if I already paid, I told him yes I did and asked if he wants to see the receipt. He said no I have the receipt so I proceed to walk out before he said "no tip? Tips not included in the total". I told him that I did not have cash on me at the moment (which I really didn't) so I couldn't and I didn't get to include it to my total when I was paying. Baffles me that I got asked that question because I was not expecting it. I am not the type of person to not give tips, I'll give tips where it's due. Today, I just happen to make a last minute decision to get a massage. For them to "force" customers to tip was definitely a different experience. So for my Birthday my brother buys me two gift cards for $20.00 totaling $40.00. I decided to use the gift cards and take my Dad for Father's day to get a foot and body message. So I called ahead to schedule around 1 Pm and explained the two gift cards for $20.00 The young asian girl on the phone said "you do know our prices are now $25. I explained the gift cards just say foot and body massage and I was unaware of the price going up 15 days after my birthday. I explained this is for Fathers Day. She said "well I will make a one time exception" So as we get there we noticed no parking and it took 7 minutes to find a parking spot right out front. We go inside and see that it is an empty lobby. The girl said "can I help you?" I told her I had an appointment for my father and I. I gave her the name and she said "You guys are super late" I looked up at the clock and it was 11 minutes past one. I apologized. She said it would cost us more or we can wait but then changed her mind and said "ok I will give you guys a pass this time? As we where ready go in to the appointment she said wait you have to pay first, new policy. I handed her the gift card and again she said "you do know our prices are now $25." I said yes, I called and you said it was ok because it was bought before the price changed. She said ok and let us in. Might I add the girl never said Happy Father's Day to me or my dad. The massage was amazing and my Dad really enjoyed it. I did too despite the young lady at the front desk which honestly set my mood off. As we where leaving they offered some cold water and a book to give a gratuity I had no cash just my credit card, They did not except credit cards so we left. As were leaving we saw other people out side stretching from their massages. As we where leaving the lady at the front desk came running after my truck and knocked on the window and said "excuse me you did not tip Peter, was his service bad" I was like no,but all I had was a Credit card and two gift cards, I explained I will be happy to tip once I go home to grab my ATM or cash. She said "well I need to adhere to why you didn't tip and I'm holding you in good faith that you will come back to tip him' and she took off. I give this place 3 stars because the actual service they provide was great. I've been coming here since they first opened and use to be a loyal customer. I've notice that they started making staff changes a few years ago and this place started going downhill. I wanted to give them another chance and everytime I came in it was a HUGE disappointment. I'm not even that picky with service and try to be as understanding as possible but leaving me on the massage chair for 20 minutes with no service while you talk and laugh in the back is where I draw the line. I experienced the same as a previous reviewer! Massage was great. Facility is clean. My sister and I went together for a treat. I have been to this place before. Towards the end the lady slacked off a bit but it was still a very good massage. After the massage when we came out, the ladies were at the cashiers desk. They both started asking about tips. I had already read the review prior to going in so I was aware of this, however I gave them a chance thinking the manager had made the changes. The ladies started saying tip us this much. One of them said, it's not like the restaurants. This is hard work. Lady- you chose this field. What if there was a no tip policy? Then what? She said my hands hurt. So does mine. You don't know where anyone else works that comes to your place for a massage. She showed me a receipt of another customer that gave her a large tip saying can I put this on your credit card while running my card. SMH- I understand it's COVID. Everyone is affected. I chose to come and give you business but you are being really greedy. No nail salons or hair places demand tips. They are all small businesses like yours. So let me start off by saying I truly enjoy my massages- not today!!!.. And no they're not all perfect, but usually leave there feeling better than you when in. Not so much here! First the young lady that did my massage reeked of cigarette smoke. So when she decided to massage my face for the first 10 to 15 minutes of my massage. Let's just say it was a little gross, thought about saying something several times but thought it might be rude. Next, I'm not too sure about the training of these so-called massage therapist. She went from barely rubbing oil on me, to literally beating on me..!! With every once a while finding a happy medium in between both. So not completely satisfied I was willing to chalk it up to a not so great experience. But then when paying... And Reluctantly leaving a five dollar tip, that is 20%... She then decided to inform me that a $10 tip was the needed amount. I did not respond well to this and told her I would tip what I felt necessary. And reduced it to a three dollar tip. My family and I have been here multiple times. The atmosphere is pleasant, the chairs are comfortable, and the bathroom is clean. There's always at least one person there that speaks good English. Dean has been my favorite so far. Sam has extremely strong hands if you really want an extra-firm massage. Daisy and Ricky (female) are very nice also. Kaitlin wasn't very good, bringing the towel at the end of the massage and just tossing it from four to five feet away onto the chair, grabbing her cell phone from her back pocket and rushing off. She also wasn't very pleasant when we were at the front counter paying. We have all had the $17/hour foot reflexology massage. Well worth the money. I will be going back weekly. I think the workers stand at the back door with it propped open and smoke. Not cool or relaxing... The gal who worked on me was ok, very rough and stunk like cigarettes breathing all up on me. She was also listening to her Ipod rock music which I could hear, again not relaxing...It's not a very quiet environment the dudes and chicks are laughing and chatting loudly. Had an appointment For an hour massage which usually costs $20 (the last 15 massages ) AFTER the massage they informed me the price is no longer the "special" price and is now $40. If this was the case, they should have informed me prior to the service. I would have tried somewhere else. There are too many decent massage places in the area to pay $40. Decent massage. First time there last week. Called to make an 8pm appointment last minute with no issue. They were actually totally empty. The massage was ok. The only negative comment is that they had the back door open the complete time. The noise of the traffic was as loud as the music they played to relax us and one of the gentlemen who works there decided to go smoke for the last 15 minutes I was there.
