Soapy Joe's is a great new carwash in Fallbrook and part of a larger chain of carwashes that was voted "Best Car Wash in San Diego" for 2020. I've been coming to Soapy Joe's since last fall and have had a very positive experience. They offer three tiers of washes: 1) Classic Joe (basic wash, rinse, and dry); 2) Super Joe (all the above, plus triple conditioner, rain repellant, tire shine, and air freshener); and 3) Magic Joe (all the above, plus Thunder Falls, Vortex Dry, Bug Prep, Magic Seal, and Magic Glaze). You can purchase a single wash in any of the three tiers, or purchase a recurring monthly membership that allows you unlimited monthly washes ($15, $20, and $35/mo., respectively). My car sits outside, so I opted for the Magic Joe Wash Club for $35/mo. I've been taking my car at least 2-3 times a week, so I'm routinely getting 10-12 washes per month, which comes out to roughly $3.00 - $3.50 per wash. You can also purchase annual wash memberships that save an additional 10% or so off the monthly packages. These weren't offered as options when I signed up, but I see they're available online. It's a drive-thru/ride-thru wash, so you remain in your car throughout. The wash itself is very thorough. After the wash and blow dry, they have a decent sized post-wash area with 12-15 parking spots, industrial vacuums, and plenty of microfiber towels where you can finish drying and touching up your car. They initially told me to limit that time to 5-10 minutes, but if it's not too busy you can take a bit longer. Soapy Joe's is open 7 a.m. - 9 p.m., so their hours are extremely convenient. You can literally wash your car before work, after work, or while on a lunch break, seven days a week. The manager, Estevan, is a very friendly, knowledgeable guy---down to Earth and very relatable----who's passionate about cars, his customers, and creating a memorable, high-quality carwash experience. I talked with him at length this afternoon and was impressed by his knowledge and customer-focused approach. For years I spent $20.00 - $25.00 each week (plus tip) at another Fallbrook carwash. It would cost me easily $200 - $300 per month to get a comparable number of washes at the other location. Yes, it's full-service, but I can't justify an extra $165 - $265 per month (plus tips) for a comparable number of washes. I'm glad to have Soapy Joe's here in Fallbrook. As long as they keep their prices reasonable and maintain their customer service levels, I'll continue to come back. read more

Used to be a great place for a car wash and now it seems like no matter how many times I run my car through it is still pretty dirty... I don't know if they changed their system for things but it doesn't clean very well anymore if at all. The vacuums are almost all to weak to use... I love this place! I especially love when Gavin is here. He is always so friendly and helpful. Fallbrook is dusty and little bees love to poop on my car. If he's available to he always gives my bumper and hood a little pre rinse with the pressure washer. It's totally made a difference! He remembers I don't want an air freshener and gives me pointers on the best time of day to get in and out quickly if I need to. I I took my truck here to try out the wash and it was absolutely horrible. The wash left dirt and dust on the back window and all over the front and rear bumper. Also dusty dirt remained on the side. Keep in mind my car was not full of mud or dried dirt it was just some dust from a mile long dirt road. I pointed out the issue to the manager working at the time and he said unfortunately that's what happens with the basic wash and we might be working on something to fix this issue on trucks? He told me the $20 wash would probably remove the left behind but was not so sure that will clean it all off? DUST??? Not mud or grime. I then asked him if I could pay the difference for the upgraded wash so that my truck would be clean and he said no. The only way that I could run it through again and pay the difference is if I joined their monthly car wash club! All I wanted was my truck to be cleaned?? Just a warning if you have a truck. Again it was only fresh DUST??? Not mud or grime. Also, it is very alarming to me that there is absolutely no rinse sprayed on the car to remove dirt prior to the giant scrubber hitting the hood and sides. This will eventually ruin your paint if the dirt is not rinsed off prior to being aggressively scrubbed, especially owners with black paint. This place needs to add more rinse sprayers or something to address these issues. read more

I try my best not to give out the old one star review but sadly Soapy Joe's truly deserves this. The staff was friendly but the wash was quite horrendous. For all the glitz and glamour of the soap and colors of the lights when you drive through...the wash did nothing. I think it only really gets the dust washed off. Any dead bugs or bee excrement does not get washed or cleaned at all. The vacuum at the end was useful but I'm sorry it can't turn this review around. At the end I had to get home and rewash the car myself and understand I just wasted $20 because this wash did nothing. Even the back of the car was still very dusty as well. Sadly I hope no one else wastes their money but it seems people understand when they go to Soapy Joe's they're getting a bad experience.....heck people had their own towels and other supplies to rewash in the parking lot after going through the wash. read more
