I like going to Super Star Car Wash because you get a decent wash and they have free rags and vacuums here so you can really go to town cleaning your car! I got a coupon for a free wash so came here on a weekend and really enjoyed this experience, it made cleaning all that more enjoyable. This location is very big so plenty of spaces to vacuum and wipe down your car. This location is a bit far for me, but maybe come back as I really liked this location. I had a coupon for 50% off so I decided to try it. I pulled in to the drive up kiosk and pulled up the code on my phone. I touched the screen and scanned it but nothing happened. A very nice employee came over and entered whatever he needed to enter to get it to work. I said it was my first time here and he told me about the membership options but not in a pushy way. I appreciated this after reading the reviews to the contrary. I drove through no problem. I parked in one of the drying stations. Got out and proceeded to wipe down the car. There were so many spots, I had to use the towels to remove them. My car just wasn't clean and like the other reviews said, the back was still a bit dirtier thank it should have been. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Super Star Car Wash. While my vehicle was in the car wash tunnel, it sustained significant damage to the entire passenger-side body, including the bumper and fender. After further inspection, I also discovered damage underneath the vehicle that was not present before the wash. I promptly reported the incident and filed a claim. After waiting for the investigation to be completed, I received a denial stating that another vehicle operator was responsible and that Super Star Car Wash bears no liability. As a customer, I trusted that my vehicle would be reasonably protected while using their equipment and facility. Instead, I was left with extensive vehicle damage and no assistance with repairs. The most frustrating part of this experience has been the lack of accountability and the denial of responsibility despite the damage occurring while my vehicle was inside the car wash. I would like to add to my initial review that a team member explained that the line order of the cars may get out of sequence and I may end up with another person's carwash. Interesting ... Today, I did not receive the shine on my tires and there was only one person behind me and that person went through another gate. Perhaps due to a delay with the gate opening? I am missing a front license plate and there's always a delay with the gate opening. It's been this way for almost 6 years! How many sales people do you need at the kiosk to pressure me for a membership? I took my car in on Saturday the 8th as I needed just a basic wash. I was greeted by two "sales people" at the kiosk who wouldn't let me talk as I repeatedly tried to tell them I was not interested in a membership, and that I just wanted a basic wash. To be told quite a few times about how I would be "wasting my money" because I'm not "getting the full value that pays for itself after the first visit" was infuriating. I was a member before and I found myself not using it often enough to keep so I'm not the person they should keep asking. But to have it get this bad is just unacceptable. Stop pressuring people to sign up and focus more on your experience. Then perhaps you'll see an increase. read more

I got a coupon for a free upgrade wash or for a free month, no brainer, took the free month. I had been here a few times previously. The location is off Melrose, so pretty convenient. The staff are friendly. Line moves decently fast. The wash is ok, but does not get the car totally clean. The vacuums are pretty good, but some are broken or clogged and don't work too well. You do have to vacuum your own car, and dry your own car, but the price is a little cheaper than a full service place. read more

I like how convenient it is to be on a monthly plan. The carwash personnel are helpful and amiable. The drying towels are useful and well stocked. My only criticism is that sometimes the suction is weak in the vacuum. Otherwise, we appreciate getting our cars washed at Super Star. read more

Just Resubscribed to my monthly membership and as I'm pulling in the express lane it scans my license plate and apparently u can't get a car wash within 24 hours off paying the subscription ! A nice gentleman proceeds to help me out explains to me he will let me through to exit but no wash because they're getting "strict" and there's nothing he can do to help me , I end up paying an additional 16$ dollars to get a "clean " basic wash because literally I'm already here !? I ask for my receipt and proceed forward , I stop my car to grab air freshener and a wipe dispenser and AS IM REACHING FOR THEM I HEAR A GUY YELLING TOWARDS ME AND WAVING AT ME TRYING TO REDIRECT ME TO A LANE TO PULL OUT ! LIKE HELLO !? I paid ! Double ! Then I see him speaking to someone through his stupid 2 way radio and realizing I paid ! Then some lady walks toward a cone that they placed at the entrance of the wash so I wouldn't go through ! She removes the cone and makes a bothered face , rolls her eyes and starts spraying the crap out of my windshield rude ! I prefer coming to this Melrose location as is it's always less crowded but tonight they turned me away before their posted closing hours of 8pm. 6:57pm tonight the guy put cones out in front of me and told me to turn around even though their posted hours are until 8pm. He was really rude and didn't even explain himself. I was right there waiting and cars were still in the car wash. If you do indeed close at 7pm you need up to update your hours online. I drove out to the one on college instead and arrived by 7.15 and they were working hard still and I was able to use my membership. read more

This location is so much better than the location off Linda Vista in San marcos. Seriously they have no issues with their machines working or the quality of the wash inside is so much better and my car is always much cleaner at this location. I don't know why some people's reviews aren't good for here I'm going to check it out but I love it and people need to remember it is a self serve after the wash and they always have towels in stock etc at this location and the price for monthly is affordable and can be canceled at any time! read more

When this location first opened up, it was my go to place. Now, not so much for three reasons. 1. I have washed three vehicles here, an SUV, a pickup, and a hatchback. The backs of the vehicles are never clean anymore. It's like the brushes hit about 50% of the back area. That isn't a clean car. 2. The prices have gone up. If the quality of the wash was better than the competitors, then I would understand. I end up having to give the cars a second wash to hit all the missed spots. Unfortunately the cost has gone up and the quality has gone down. 3. The employees at the kiosks are pushy. I don't think it is their fault but it seems driven by pressure from management and/or ownership. Regardless, it's annoying. read more

I'm a frequent off-roader so my car gets pretty regularly dirty. Super stars unlimited plan is perfect because I can drive in the mud worry free. Jordan was super helpful last time I went it and let me borrow their pressure washer to get the frame of my car clean. He was super nice and definitely deserves a raise. Well. Not the usual wash I get for my car.....I do go for the least expensive as I like to take care of him myself. But tonight......... hardly any acknowledgement from the spray guy and I had bugs from Arizona last week..ick... when I got thru the wash still had some of the on my window. But the thing that bothered me, there was nothing happening for 3 parts of the wash inside? That's never happened and I always get the same super cheap version of the wash.
