I left the old SSD at this store, paid a $42.80 deposit to have it checked with whatever tools are needed to recover the data and did not hear back for weeks despite many promises for a weekly update. About a month later I disputed the charge with my bank and then I received a SMS message presumably from this store (with no sender name and no name of the store in the message) basically saying that nothing could be done with my old SSD, but without providing any proof of what was done and no report from whatever software was used to analyze the SSD. The bank (Wells Fargo) forced me to pay the $42.80 fee just because I authorized it but I never got any proof of what was done with my money. Stay away from J Electronics & Repair in downtown Miami! It is a scam.
