We hired Tailored Closets to design and install four closets in our small home in Clairemont, and…read morewere glad we did. We also met with two other local/national companies to back up our ultimate decision. One of those was easy to let go of - the person who visited our house had strange personal habits and felt comfortable sitting on our bed and brushing pencil eraser bits onto our pillows. The second one came really close, and it was a hard final decision. They offered a different approach than Tailored and there were strong points to both. In the end, the connection we made with the designer, Nick, and his willingness to dive into the challenge, won us over. With our input, he came up with really great custom concepts including an entryway closet that had a couple elements that they don't typically do. One was an area where mail could drop from the mail slot, and the other was slide out shoe trays. We still look at those and smile. The on-site installers were great. The lead installer Cassidy was our main point of contact and did a great job. We'd done some other renovation prior to the closets, and our expectations for communication were formed by those other contractors. He was respectful throughout the install, patient with our questions, and always let us know what to expect. Personally, I also appreciated the way he worked with the other installers, too. He looked like a good mentor for the others. Kudos to him and the rest of the team, Luis, Kevin and Ismael. I'll be surprised if Luis isn't in a leadership role there soon! The installation was so professionally done, with plumb walls and level shelves, that it revealed how unlevel our flooring is. When that left some gaps, the company recommended a solution to mask that without changing the original design. Cassidy came back out, assisted by Victor, and made those updates in just a few hours. Overall, this was a great experience, and we recommend the company.

Annie R. is the reason we chose this company, her customer service is WONDERFUL. My Husband contacted another company for an estimate but they were not very customer service oriented. I looked up Closet Factory on Yelp and I requested a quote when I called them. Our Closet Factory Designer/Engineer was Annie R. She showed up on a big game day in our home, which was fine. She introduced herself and I invited her in to check out the space. Annie was able to talk to me and get a feel of what we wanted and needed. She noted the options after she took measurements. Annie was VERY patient with us. She took a short amount of time to create a vision and design for our new closet. We like her customer service oriented approach to the project. Pricing was similar to the other company, but Annie was just a better fit for our needs as customers. You get what you pay for, truly. We agreed on the design that we wanted, a date and time for install, and a VERY REASONABLE payment plan. Halfway into the timeline, we realized that we wanted Closet Factory to do the demolition work of the old closet. We contacted Annie and she was able to accommodate us, no problem. This changed the install date to a 1 day work appointment, and we were super excited; we are super busy working people so this added to our liking of Closet Factory. About 2-3 weeks before install day, we realized we would be called out of town on urgent business. We contacted Annie and she was so kind, professional, and super understanding about it. She was able to secure a new install date, and IT HAPPENED!! The closet technicians arrived at 9a on our install day. They went to the closet area, set up their equipment in the driveway/garage area, and started scoping the work. The demolition started and they were very thorough. The closet technicians were done at 2p and they did AN AMAZING JOB building our new closet with Annie's vision. They even cleaned up afterwards and left the space as clean as they found it! We are definitely going to utilize Closet Factory for more spaces/areas in our home. We are also spreading the word to our friends and family. IT IS SOOOOOO NICE!!! I highly recommend. Thank you Annie R., we would not be this happy without your professionalism, customer service, and caring for us as clients.
