We also met with two other local/national companies to back up our ultimate decision. One of those was easy to let go of - the person who visited our house had strange personal habits and felt comfortable sitting on our bed and brushing pencil eraser bits onto our pillows. The second one came really close, and it was a hard final decision. They offered a different approach than Tailored and there were strong points to both. In the end, the connection we made with the designer, Nick, and his willingness to dive into the challenge, won us over. With our input, he came up with really great custom concepts including an entryway closet that had a couple elements that they don't typically do. One was an area where mail could drop from the mail slot, and the other was slide out shoe trays. We still look at those and smile. The on-site installers were great. The lead installer Cassidy was our main point of contact and did a great job. We'd done some other renovation prior to the closets, and our expectations for communication were formed by those other contractors. He was respectful throughout the install, patient with our questions, and always let us know what to expect. Personally, I also appreciated the way he worked with the other installers, too. He looked like a good mentor for the others. Kudos to him and the rest of the team, Luis, Kevin and Ismael. I'll be surprised if Luis isn't in a leadership role there soon! The installation was so professionally done, with plumb walls and level shelves, that it revealed how unlevel our flooring is. When that left some gaps, the company recommended a solution to mask that without changing the original design. Cassidy came back out, assisted by Victor, and made those updates in just a few hours. Overall, this was a great experience, and we recommend the company.

Unfortunately, our experience didn't live up to the recommendations or the premium price. We hired WHB for a move-in cleaning. The home had already been cleaned before we received the keys, but it wasn't quite up to our standards, so we decided to hire a professional company to thoroughly go over everything before we moved in. At $89/hour for a move-in clean, I expected a very detailed and professional service. Our cleaner was genuinely lovely, kind, and pleasant to have in our home, and I enjoyed meeting her. Unfortunately, the quality and professionalism of the cleaning itself did not match what I expected at this price point. During the appointment, approximately 35 minutes of billable time was spent in personal conversation rather than cleaning. I certainly could have ended the conversation sooner, and I acknowledged that when I spoke with the company. At the same time, as the customer, I don't think I should have to manage how a professional cleaner uses the time I'm paying for. Afterward, my husband and I looked over the apartment more closely and found several areas that still needed attention. The floors were noticeably streaky, portions of the windows that were cleaned were left streaky and only partially completed, the window tracks were still dirty, and there was visible dirt remaining in areas of the guest shower. For a relatively clean, empty home, I simply did not feel the finished result reflected more than $300 worth of professional cleaning. I contacted WHB directly before leaving a review because I wanted to give them an opportunity to address my concerns. I do want to give their customer service team credit. Everyone I spoke with was kind and professional. They offered to send a different cleaner back to address the areas we weren't satisfied with. We declined because the purpose of hiring a move-in service was to have the home ready before we moved in, and at that point we preferred to finish the remaining areas ourselves. WHB ultimately offered a 15% adjustment to our invoice, which I appreciated. They listened to our concerns and made an effort to resolve the situation. As a first-time customer paying their premium move-in rate, I expected the initial service to reflect the level of quality and professionalism the company advertises. At this price point, I think it's reasonable to expect professional cleaners who can deliver consistently high-quality work without the customer needing to supervise the process or schedule a second visit to correct missed areas. I appreciate how kindly WHB handled my concerns and their effort to make things right. Unfortunately, based on the quality and value of our particular experience, we won't be returning.

She just held a trash bag for me to put my donation stuff and another bag to put stuff I wanted to throw away. She helped take everything downstairs, but left all the trash down there and didn't help me haul it to the trash cans outside. She was real happy to take my stuff to be "donated" and even took my old iPhone to try to sell it. I thought she meant she was going to help me sell it, but apparently she just wanted to sell it and keep the money for herself. She also tried to cut the session short. When I contacted her a few days later she told me that we could discuss options for storage that would be most efficient with my space. She told me it would cost $150/hr for that. I already paid $500 for her to basically hold trash bags for me to fill. I definitely feel like I did not get what I paid for. I was really disappointed. I would recommend finding someone on task rabbit, who is more affordable. I wish I had.
