We had hardwood flooring in our kitchen that had been damaged by a water leak. We originally visited Home Depot as we decided to replace the hardware with Luxury Vinyl Planks. We paid the $50 to have them come to our home and give us a quote. We received a quote that included a $350 for lead removal (?) and other unexpected charges which we felt were ridiculous. Also, we I turned to Yelp reviews to find a flooring company. Alex at So Cal Premium Flooring contacted me and came out to give us a quote. We also decided to have crown molding installed in the kitchen at the same time. We received the quote that evening, accepted it online and work began the next morning! I cannot give a review as 0 stars isn't an option. Alex and his brother Paul came to our house to replace flooring and to our surprise, it didn't come close to matching. Our baseboards were ruined and left planks near the job. We asked him to leave as the job was horrific! I highly recommend anyone bypassing their company to avoid the nightmare we are currently experiencing. Not sure after laying one plank and seeing it doesn't come close to a match why they would continue. Alex claims the sun will darken it to eventually match but sun only lightens it. In my opinion he has no idea what he is talking about or what he's doing in this business. Again, a nightmare of a situation and he's asking for his money on a job he didn't deliver on. read more

Alex was great, he gave excellent advice about redoing our kitchen floor that had water damage, used cork/foam blend to keep moisture out from our raised subfloor, even brought in a fan to help dry out the subfloor before replacing and installing composite flooring. Alex was able to add to this job, replacing carpet in our hallway on the second floor with composite flooring. Once he removed the carpet, he stabilized the floor boards to remove creaking and a "soft spot", so that when the composite flooring was installed, would last longer and definitely feels more stable and solid than before. Alex is very knowledgeable and professional, I would recommend him to handle any flooring needs. We obtained several offers, while he was not the lowest price, but not the highest either, we definitely got value in Alex because he does quality work and it shows! Thank you, Alex! read more

I would consider a hardwood floor wizard. 5 years after installation of our hardwood floors they suddenly lifted 1-3 in. It mad for a very bouncy walk from family room to kitchen. I contacted Alex for an estimate to repair our floors. After contacting 2 other contractors who did not work out, I again contacted Alex. He call back quickly and was available to come to assess my problem and needs 2 days later. We discussed how to fix my floors agreed on a price and Alex immediately went ti work. Alex had ti remove an entire row of planks and the remaining plans layer down flat... no more bouncy floor. Fortunately we had left over wood from our original installation. The manic happened when Alex re-engineered the new planks to fit in with a custom cut tongue and curve so they securely fit together with the old floor. You can see in my picture that the new planks are lighter in color than the old. (See photos)From experience I know that after exposure to the sun and air they will blend in and you'll never know they are new. Alex's work was flawless. He did so much more than I had expected of him with only adding the cost of extra materials he provided. It was a pleasure having him in my home. These guys are superheroes! The whole idea of this project was overwhelming to my wife and I. They were one of the three contractors we interviewed and received quotes from. These guys were by far the best we spoke to. Our project has moved at a pace faster than we expected. They are very professional, and make sure that when they are done working for the day everything is cleaned up. I consider Alex a superior subfloor technician . I had lots of squeaks in a second story condo subfloor consisting of 1.5 inch LW concrete over plywood. Many contractors were contacted and they all stated that the concrete would have to be removed to expose the plywood and then start the process of eliminating the many squeaks. Alex is the only contractor I found who was capable of finding the joists and securing the plywood floor to the joists with screws thus eliminating all the squeaks without removing all the concrete. I was more than elated when he showed me my solid and squeak free subfloor without the messy concrete removal and re-pouring.
