I come here twice a year to get my daughter's new boots. It our tradition to pick new ones out for the season, and have dinner at Dogfish. I arrived this evening at 635pm and the doors were locked. The sign on the door stated the store closed at 7pm. There was a female outside who told me she was yelled out of the store. The employee told her they were not letting more people in. As we were leaving the last customer walked out of the store and stated that the employee was very rude and wanted the customer out of the store ASAP. I looked online and found that Sterling Soccer was open until 8pm. The family drove over there and we found a pair of new boots. The employees there were awesome even though they were super busy. I have to thank the terrible employee at the Soccer Post because of his rudeness I found a better store to get soccer gear. The lack of customer service can just kill your business. I will continue to go to Dogfish but NOT the Soccer Post. read more

I needed to come buy cleats and got here by 4:59pm. The doors were locked and there was an associate inside.. the hours posted clearly states that it closes at 6pm. I tired knocking on the door to get the associates attention but he just ignored me. Stood there for 5 minutes and he still didn't acknowledge me.. Soccer Post DC - Business Hours.. - Sports Wear Near Me - Fairfax, Virginia

A little on the expensive side. I was looking for an Official Sports soccer referee shirt for some last minute games. The price is really offset by what I would pay for shipping and handling for overnight. They have all the referee colors for men but don't carry sets for new referees. They do not carry the women's referee uniforms. I don't think any of the DMV soccer stores do. I got it, it's not cost effective from a business perspective. But it is a growing market. Overall, it is hard to find stores that carry soccer and referee supplies. So very impressed! read more

I've played soccer for the better part of 25 years. I've coached youth soccer for 7 of those years. In all my experiences with the beautiful game, I've gone through more equipment than I'd like to recall. Fortunately, the Soccer Post of DC has been the first soccer retail supplier in the Northern VA area to have made that process a lot more enjoyable! The staff at SP are incredible. John and Eric are just about the two most friendly soccer retail providers I've ever met. They treat each and every customer as if they were a close friend. Furthermore, they provide great service in helping you to acquire whatever piece of equipment or apparel you're in need of. Since the SP opened, I've supplied my entire youth soccer team with uniforms here. I've purchased 3 pairs of personal cleats while also purchasing several pairs of gift cleats. Pretty much anytime I need anything soccer related in a hurry, I head over to Soccer Post. Did I mention they also carry "Vintage Futbol" apparel? VF is a lifestyle apparel company run by soccer players, designed for soccer players with roots to this area. I can't say enough about this store. We have never bought anything from this store. However, this shouldn't stop us from writing a review based on our familiarity with the owner's character. In short, we would do business here in a heart beat because of the integrity, efficiency fairness and positive character of the owner. Now a day it is harder to find local businesses that can compete with online stores. I heard about The Soccer Post from fellow Chantilly Soccer Club coaches and dropped by to pick up some goalkeeping gloves for our team. The store is tucked away behind Dogfish Head Alehouse, so it took me a while to find it, but it was well worth the search. The store is packed full of all sorts of soccer goodies: replica uniforms, cleats, training gear, and so on. There was only one person on staff when I visited but they were super-helpful and clearly enthusiastic about the game. And the prices were pretty competitive, too. The Soccer Post is obviously run by people who want to support the local soccer community, and they've invested their money, hearts, and souls into it. My husband recently went back to refereeing soccer after a long break. They recently changed the uniforms so he needed to find somewhere he could get a shirt or two for a weekend tournament he was doing, while the official online site was on backorder. He found Soccer Post DC online and so we went one afternoon after work. It was really easy to find and lots of parking. They had the jersey and shorts he wanted in stock and let him try them on before buying. They had a nice selection of soccer jersey, cleats and socks. I wandered in here when I first moved to Northern Virginia because I wondered if this store was related to a store called Soccer Post that closed in my hometown several years ago. I did not purchase anything on that day but have since been extremely happy with the service and merchandise I have received. The guys who work here are great and have me ready to head up to Canada for the World Cup with several jerseys and a US Soccer decal! It is very clear that they care about customers and local players.. You've gotta love the Washington Spirit over the register, as well. I will definitely continue to shop here and recommend it to all players and fans in the DMV. read more

My son is starting his first year playing soccer and is SO excited. I went to the store to pick up his jerseys and arrived 15 minutes before the store closed. I arrived to a locked door, store clerks inside, and a customer being helped. When I knocked on the door, the clerk opened the door only to tell me the store was closed. I was shocked and my son was upset. He argued with me and told me to get out of the doorway, that he didn't have time to help other shoppers who wanted to come in, so he couldn't let me in because the store closed at 7pm. I was there at 645pm!! He clearly just wanted to leave - never mind the multiple other customers who were also being turned away and were forced to look up other soccer stores in the area to purchase their kids' soccer supplies. If I wasn't forced to use this store by the soccer league my son is in, I would clearly buy his jerseys elsewhere. I have never seen such blatantly rude, unkind, and selfish customer service in quite a long time... YEARS. I would never shop there again and I never even made it through the door. Nice staff, very knowledgable. I went in and said right up front that I wasn't going to be buying any shoes but I wanted to look anyway and the salesperson was very helpful and more than willing to make suggestions and pull sizes for me. They didn't have the most overwhelming selection of balls or jerseys but I would happily go back and give them my business. read more

They don't even deserved a single star. NEVER EVER step my foot in that store EVER again!!, including few of my friends. I bought a shoes from this store and tried to return it the next day since; it was little too big. I was told by the staffs + mangers that the shoes was worn, used and had some scratches marks of which I did not check when I bought it. In fact not even once; I kicked the ball with it. I tried to be reasonable with them and all I wanted was to exchange but they kept on shaking their ignorance heads and not hearing what I have to tell them. They accused me of not telling the truth. I felt insulted & disrespected by their actions...so i called my credit company and guess what? they will not get a penny from me or my business ever again!!! read more

What a great soccer store! They had a good selection of soccer shoes (which we were looking for) and worked with us to find the right pair for my child. Both times I've gone here, the staff has been friendly and helpful. It feels good to shop locally, and they make it easy to do so by being friendly, helpful, and by having a good selection of reasonably-priced items. This store is located in a nice area. The store was clean, but really plain. I was in there to look at cleats not ready to buy; the sales associate was pushing for me to buy the cleats and also trying to add unnecessary items on to my purchase, and trying to up sale especially when I'm on a budget. The whole time I was talking to the associate he was comparing the store to dicks sporting goods, and online soccer stores, but not other soccer stores in area. I have been to several other big name sports stores in the area and was very unhappy with the service I received, I felt rushed and the employees were not knowledgeable about what would fit my son the best. However, after visiting Soccer Post I was extremely happy. The store had everything I needed, and was clean and organized. As a youth team coach, I was thrilled to find the Soccer Post last year. I have been shopping there since and just recently purchased "away jerseys" for our team. John and Eric were extremely helpful and patient to make sure we got exactly what we wanted - sizes, colors, logos, and in plenty of time for our first game. The jerseys turned out great and the kids really like wearing them. John also helped us get great prices that compared favorably with the online merchants. One star is too generous. I do NOT recommend this store. They sold me defective soccer cleats which started to come apart after wearing twice. I took the cleats and receipt to the store 7 days after purchase and they would not let me return them for refund or exchange. Said it was up to me to try to deal with Nike directly.
