My company holds a lot of retirement parties here. There is plenty of room for patrons and parties in the bar area, it's really very large. There's lots of seating. There is also a private room if you prefer to reserve it at an additional charge. However, they allow you to come in with big groups and take over tables for your own parties in the main bar area. It's very economical to just order several appetizers and they sent them out on an unused bar area for us and then everyone pays their own bar tab. The onion rings and toasted ravioli are fabulous and I love their sweet marinara sauce. For lunch, my favorite is the buffalo chicken salad. read more

Came here with friends to watch some games and was impressed by how spacious it is, huge parking lot, tons of TVs and seating. Staff were fast and attentive all night. We started with the sampler appetizer which had a great mix of everything, then I got the chicken wrap (so tasty) and my friend got the chicken tenders, which come out on a full tray way more than enough for the table. The side salad was generous too, I thought it was a regular salad portion. Great cocktail and mocktail selection, mine was sweet and really good. My friend loved the salmon, and the wings are popular for a reason, definitely order those. They also have a free popcorn machine you can help yourself to. Stayed overnight in the Comfort Suites and across the parking lot is this very large pub restaurant. It was Sunday night and we had the 4 piece fried chicken special with fries. The fries were great-- crinkled and thickly cut. The chicken was not expensive and a good buy for crispy pieces (wing, leg, breast and thigh). The bar area looked fabulous-- huge TV in the center with the NBA game and many TVs within view of the bar and other tables. Had a friendly vibe. read more

Went with a group as we were passing through. We ordered and our server never came back to refill our drinks. We had to flag him down when we wanted something. My food was cold and they didn't seem to time the dishes very well. Some were hot. Some were cold. The toasted ravioli was the best, didn't care too much for the nachos though as they needed something. I am not convinced they used the beer cheese on it. But our server never came back for me to ask. We also had to flag him down for our check. We noticed other customers were feeling disgruntled as well with the service and kept looking around. Server started out really well but then as the night went on, got worse and worse. Buddy ordered a beer and by the time the server came back (20 mins later) he didn't want it and said remobe it from the tab. My mom and I stopped in for dinner on a Thursday night since we were out in the area and it just sounded like a good place to eat. Luckily, the restaurant side was not too busy so we were able to be seated right away. Unfortunately, the booth that we were seated at was in the section for another server who had a much larger party in the event room and so it took her a while to get to us. When she did come over, we were ready to order drinks and food. Our server was friendly and did apologize for the wait. After taking our order, she quickly came back with our drinks (water and iced tea) and then let us know that the food would be out shortly. While waiting for the food, we did see her going back and forth a ton to the event space to take care of the larger party. She would check in with us from time to time and when our food came out, she popped over to make sure we had everything we needed. I got the Thursday lunch special which was a double smash burger with American cheese topped with pulled pork and bbq sauce and a side of sweet potato fries. The smash burgers with the pulled pork was delicious. The pulled pork needs to be chopped a lot more so you can get pieces of the smash burger and pulled pork in each bite. Came here for a work gathering and it was a great time. The band wasn't great, and felt a little too loud for the size of the establishment. Service was excellent and food was very good. Met up with some friends for a drink here, and am still trying to figure this place out. They were on the restaurant side when we got there and had already eaten. When we arrived the waiter came by and asked if we wanted a drink. No menus or drink list. Took a while to get 2 beers, and we had to ask about a menu to pick an appetizer. Beer was room temp and filled to 2 different levels. Just odd service. Next time, I think I'll try the bar side and see if it makes more sense, still not sure why this place is so popular. read more

Went to Helen Fitzgeralds and ate on the patio the service was a little slow about 20 minutes to get our drink order at first but after that it was consistent. I had the shrimp special and my wife got the roast beef sandwich with beer cheese sauce on the side. My shrimp was perfect fried crispy and tender on the inside. My wife's roast beef was delicious and the cheese sauce very flavorful. We also both had side salads with our entrées the greens order perfect lots of tomato and cheese very tasty. The patio is just a patio but it was just nice to get outside for it was a nice night. read more

Helen Fitzgerald's is a large restaurant and has a large bar area. They had it decorated beautifully for Christmas and I really enjoyed the festive trees. Our experience was good, but not perfect. There was apparently a banquet going on in a private room so our service was very slow. We got the Pot O Gold to share which came with Syberg's wings, t-ravs, sygoons, potato skins, and pretzel bites. They were all delicious. My favorite were the sygoons and wings. My husband liked the t-ravs and he doesn't even usually like pretzels but he enjoyed the pretzel bites. I got the potato soup and it was hot and yummy. My husband had the buffalo chicken pizza with the new NootBaar Sauce. He liked it, but sadly it came to the table cold. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed it. read more

The chicken strip salad is one of my solid stl spots for the same meal over and over. I always get the chicken strip salad and it hits every time. I usually do grilled chicken but if I'm feeling it I'll order it with the crispy. Their wing sauce is one of my favorite sauces ever and I often have a bottle in the fridge at home. I also got a side order of fries this visit which obviously added to the delicious experience. It's simple and delicious bar food, what isn't to like :) server was super attentive and helpful. The food came out in the correct order (why is this a problem so often now at many restaurants like getting your salad ten minutes after the main course is served). The food was good and so were the potions. I had the fish and chips, which was a little different than other places make it, more like the size of an eggroll with thick fish and crisp outer batter. I asked for a substitute for the coleslaw which I don't care for and despite not normally doing that they gave me a bowl of fruit as a replacement. Enjoyed a holiday party here and this place was so packed! The parking isn't the greatest and I parked next door in the parking lot like many other people I seen walking to the restaurant. Although it was busy, it wasn't crowded moving around. We had a great "room" and a table for 8. Our server was attentive, kind and provided great service. Everyone ordered their own meal of choice. We sat down and were immediately greeted with a big smile by our server, Madi Cherry. She was absolutely adorable, even her name is cute! The service was flawless: attentive without being overbearing, friendly without being fake, and fast without sacrificing quality. My drink never got half empty. She was on it! Top notch! Now, let's talk about the salad. Fresh doesn't even begin to describe it. Every ingredient was vibrant and full of flavor--crisp greens, homemade croutons ( omg so good!!! ), that delicious St. Louis cheese, and just the right amount of red onion. The ranch was like nothing I've ever had before. This salad was simple but bursting with flavor. The balance of textures and flavors was masterful. You could taste the freshness in every bite, and the portion size was generous without being overwhelming. I honestly didn't know a salad could be this satisfying. Pair all that with top-tier service and a relaxing atmosphere, and this quickly became one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. They have a dining side in the left and a large bar side on the right. I cane with my daughter so we were seated in the dining area. Helen Fitzgerald's is a favorite in the St. Louis community, I was here with a group of seven for a work dinner and was able to get all seven of us seated comfortably without a reservation for appetizers. We had a large pepperoni pizza and toasted ravioli, and my entrée was a steak with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and the cocktails were great. The warm lighting and soft music makes this a great place for friends and coworkers to have a nice dinner, the other side of the building is more the sports bar area with high top tables and plenty of TVs to watch all sports events. I'll admit that coming at a popular place like Helen's on the last Saturday before Christmas is. Gamble. However, I've never been spoken to by waitstaff the way I was tonight. My friends three blonds stood at the bar (just in front of the door) for a whole set waiting to be acknowledge. The bartender a white man blond with a matching beard in a red shirt and jeans about 5'7'' said absolutely nothing to them. So I stood with them and waited. When I was not acknowledge. I leaned over the bar waving my hand. I expected a "I'll be with you" or a "give me minute". Instead this man this bartender looked me in the face and yelled "Shut the Fuck up". I get he was busy and I understand why he did it. But it's not something I expected from staff. I have been coming to Helen's for YEARS! This is a great happy hour spot and night out spot! Happy hour - many apps for $5 and they are all tasty! Toasted raviolis, sliders, pizzas, etc. Drinks are also discounted and a good price. They have a good selection of items on their regular menu to choose from as well. They use Syberg's signature sauces on wings and thangs.. which I don't care about because I don't prefer it - but if you like that sauce you can get it here. Their fries are also crispy and delicious! I've had chocolate martinis and white russians here and they were always made well. Night out - they have a restaurant side, private rooms and a bar side. The bar side frequently has amazing live bands and it is a vibe! Our family has also used the banquet rooms on a few occasions and it's always been a great experience. However, on Thursdays, they have their happy hour specials all day. Apps, Flatbread, and drink specials all day. But, by 7, it's packed because they have sports, trivia, games, etc. I also just had a 50th birthday party there and was able to reserve tables off to the side so we could have a semi private event. We had a birthday celebration with about 50 people. They were able to set aside a few tables for us on the bar and stage side with advanced notice. KAYLA IS THE BEST SERVER! Really excellent. There was a decent band playing. It would have been nice to hear their music, but instead we heard extremely loud mud. CHARLES the sound person seemed unaware that there were guitars and singers in the band. We see this a lot around St. Louis. A club finds a guy who knows how to use an iPad and decide he's the sound engineer. Charles seems to think that you just need to turn it up louder and not worry about hearing the singers or any higher frequencies. It's too bad because these performers work hard to put together a show, only to have it ruined by one guy who apparently doesn't listen to or understand music. read more
