Close to meadowvale theatre. Service was friendly. However, I did get my food before my companion which I didn't eat out of respect and thus it got cold after. Server didn't pay attention too much like when we wanted more drinks, he wasn't around. Food itself is pretty good. I had a small plate which was good enough if you're not too hungry. The fish tacos were crunchy and the toppings matched the flavour.

Social Eatery serves pub food in an unsuspecting area of Mississauga. The restaurant has a patio, which was perfect for the warm day when we went. We ordered the nachos, which was definitely enough for two people if you order a second appetizer. Nothing too special about these nachos compared to other American cuisine. However, I had a biased preference for these specific nachos due to the vessel of transport for the sour cream and salsa. I thought the nacho cups were such a cute touch! Also, the wait staff gave us complimentary edamame, which was really nice of them. They were a bit too salty, but we really appreciated the gesture. It's a shame that the location is out of central Mississauga because there wasn't a lot of traffic, even though we went during peak dinner hours. As a result of this, however, our waitresses were really receptive and friendly. I definitely recommend sitting out on the patio if the weather allows it! You get to see a picture perfect view of the neighbouring McDonald's. Verdict: This would be one of my top recommendations if you are looking for American eats in Mississauga.

So today is the first time for me To try this restaurant and I've been meaning to try this for a long time.I have to say ambiance is 5/5 - I love how it's very homey and very conducive for intimate friends to hang out and drink and even stay longer and chat . Food is 4/5- service took longer than expectation but the aesthetic made up for it and the hand made burger patty is truly delicious.I loved my friends turkey burger ;however i got the swiss mushroom which I find a little overwhelming. Price is 3/5- a Little pricey but I love the ambiance soo it made up for it. Service is 5/5-Michelle our server was great! And made my first experience at this restaurant very nice. Her recommendations are true to her words. All in all I will recommend this place and will go back to try what the night life cocktails has to offer! This is a great try!

Cool vibes and delicious burgers and fresh cut skinny fries! Came here for the first time with both kids (ages 1&3) and had zero expectations. I didn't know if the restaurant was kid-friendly or if it was another Jack Astor's wannabe. To my delight, it was a win on both accounts! Not only was there a kids menu (comes with drink and huge scoop of vanilla bean ice cream), it was waaaaayyy better than the chain restaurants which I detest. We were seated comfortably in the half couch/half chair tables right by the kitchen and walked past a large group of adults and other young kids. The place is spacious with various options of seating (bar area, lovely white couches, booths by the window, etc). The TVs were displayed prominently on the brick walls and lighting was sexy without being too dark. I ordered the avocado chicken club while my hubby had the mushroom Swiss burger. My daughter grabbed the top of my poppy seed bun and ate it entirely. My chicken burger was seasoned just right and was topped with crispy bacon and fresh avocado, lettuce and tomatoes. The fries were fresh cut and were on the thinner side which I really liked. The calamari app was crispy and served with homemade? taztziki with fresh garlic (would definitely order it again). The mushroom Swiss burger came with 2 parties and there was no way my hubby could've finished it. The kids had the chicken fingers (came with 3 crispy pieces of chicken breast served with a sweet honey sauce). We finished our meal by sharing the chocolate brownie with ice cream. This was a bit on the sweet side, but the warm brownie against the cold vanilla bean ice cream was totally worth it. There are lots of alcoholic beverages to choose on tap, from cans and bottles and even various cocktails. I can't wait to come back and try more of the items on their menu. The fish and chips looked delicious The servers, manager and hostesses were all super friendly and tentative to our needs. Don't go to the chain restaurants, come here instead!

When I work nearby, I get take out. My order is simple, almond crusted chicken tenders. Last time I ordered that, went with a salad as a side, instead of fries. That mistake incurred a charge, which wasn't mentioned to me, first of all. And secondly, it's not worth the extra money to be honest. When it came to the salad, all the wilted/browned lettuces were tucked away at the bottom with fresher ones on top as was discovered while attempting to eat this small and sad garden salad. Two bites and that was it. The rest was binned. Onto the tenders. They are good when crispy. In this case, they were properly made. Usually served with fries. More often than not, the fries are limp and soggy but wouldn't know for a last experience since that's not what I ordered. I do know why eateries sabotage the quality of their food; to save a buck, but what that does is destroy reputation. If you're sold on doing the minimum to get by, then you don't deserve a loyal customer base. It's bad practice that so many places do this. At first, they start off with quality in mind and then not long after, the quality drops and drops and drops until the eatery has shuttered its doors..

My small team consisting of a full-time colleague and student was slowly being dismantled. The former had left the company a week earlier and it was my student's last week with the company. We all decided to meet for dinner. Our original plan was to go back to Door FiftyFive. However, when we got there, the restaurant was closed due to an internal event. Bummer. Now what? Luckily, my colleague, who is a great friend, suggested that we go to Social Eatery. We wanted chicken and waffles from Door FiftyFive. She pointed out that Social Eatery has chicken and donuts, and highly recommended the dish. Great! We drove over to Social Eatery, which is situated in the Meadowvale Town Centre. It's essentially a plaza with plenty of stores and eateries. It was a nice evening. We opted for the patio area. It was a Monday night. Coronas were going for $5 each. We each had two. They were icy cold and hit the spot. I tend to enjoy getting a couple of appetizers and calling them dinner when it's hot outside. I also like sampling as much food as my stomach can handle. I got the chicken and donuts, and coriander chicken dumplings with sesame soy sauce. The chicken and donuts appetizer is amazing. It's a must to try out! The chicken is crispy and perfectly done. The sauce has a spicy kick to it, The donuts are both crispy and moist, which complement the chicken well. So good! I had the coriander chicken dumplings. They do not taste westernized. Yummy! The sesame soy sauce was perfectly done. My friend ordered almond-crusted chicken tenders with bacon salt fries. She couldn't finish the latter, so we all chipped in to sample the yummy bacon fat on the fries. I don't normally go for fries. Put bacon fat on them and I'll eat 'em. They were delicious. Our student friend had a steak. I never got to take a pic of it. She loves steak and wolfed it down. It looked amazing. For dessert, we shared my s'mores brownie. It was decadent and delicious. What's not to love about marshmallows, chocolate, and more chocolate chips on top? It was excellent! I love this place. I need to come back here on Wednesday. Stella Artois beers are $5 each. I also want to eat my way through the menu. (330)

FOOD: I had come here on a Thursday afternoon at 1:00 pm for lunch. I had settled on the Grilled Chicken Avocado Club, which consisted of avocado, herb mayonnaise, cheddar cheese, applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, and tomato, with a side order of french fries. In terms of the sandwich, it was quite delicious, with a good helping of herb mayonnaise spread on both sides of the bread, along with large pieces of lettuce and tomato. I loved how all of the flavours mixed-well together, which made the sandwich taste lovely. I also loved how large the sandwich was, with it being cut-in half, with each half quite large. It actually took me a while to finish each half as they were so big! The french fries were good, as there were a lot of them, with each of them being cooked to perfection. Would definitely be interested in trying another dish at this restaurant in the near future! ATMOSPHERE: When I had come to the restaurant, it was very busy as there were many people dining for the holidays. We were able to get a booth quickly upon arriving which was great. It was very loud though, which made it difficult to hear my friend as we were talking. I did enjoy the pub-like atmosphere though, and liked how there was ample room beside the tables and chairs situated in the restaurant. SERVICE: We were served by a kind, younger woman that took our order with ease, along with answering all of our questions with confidence. She was friendly, helpful, and considerate. The only thing was that the food took about thirty-minutes to arrive, which we thought was a bit long however, considering the large amount of people present in the restaurant, it was understandable. COST: 1 Grilled Chicken Avocado Club With French Fries: $15.48 + Tax = $17.49 WOULD YOU RETURN? Most likely, as I did enjoy the food, and our server was pleasant. The only thing I wasn't too keen on was the long-wait time to receive our food, and the loud atmosphere. Hopefully it won't be as busy the next time around!

Decor and mood - 5/5 Nicely decorated with the black and white theme. Modern clean lines. The booths were comfy. Cool atmosphere and pretty trendy. Food 3/5 The food was decent. Came here with my family for dinner over the weekend. Pork bun wasn't bad, but have tried better. Pork was deep fried. I prefer when the pork is cooked differently. Bun was nice and soft. Coconut shrimp was nice and big and crispy. Cooked well. Ordered the Pablo crusted fish taco. Portion size was generous, but the fish was a little over cooked. Also super hard to eat with all the fillings. Too much salsa for my liking and the tomatoes were a bit soggy, which made the taco a bit soggy too. Chicken almond crusted chicken tenders was a little on the dry side and the fries were really over cooked. Hammered and way too crunchy. Couldn't even put my fork through the fry. Bow tie rose chicken pasta was pretty tasty and one of the better dishes of the night. Service 2.5/5 Hosts were friendly. Very accommodating to us, they ensured that we had a good spot to put our baby and her stroller. Food took a while to come out over 20 min. Server also wasn't that great. She chatted to another table for at least 15 min or more without checking on us or her other tables. I get that it wasn't that busy but she didn't check on us and had time to have a full conversation with her friend. Had to go to the bar to order a drink. But the manager did come over and make sure everything was ok. They gave us a free drink as an apology. Overall I think if your looking for decent food or just drinks this would be a cool place to come too. As long as service improves the place would be great. I think it's a welcome addition to the limited options in the Meadowvale area.

I've been here twice. The first time I believe the server was named Michelle. She was very friendly and did a great job serving us. The second time I visited my server was Tamara. She is extremely friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy!!! The prices are really great there's basically nothing over $20 which is great when you're on a budget. For the price that you're paying the food is very delicious. The serving sizes are also really good. The tacos and the calamari are great for starting off. I had a grilled chicken bowtie which was very flavorful and delicious.. on my second visit I had the grilled chicken avocado club which was also very delicious!!! If you're looking for somewhere for a simple laid back dining experience with very reasonable prices I would recommend coming here.

    Rose Chicken Pasta. Must try.

I come here all the time for dinner and the food never disappoints. I came here for my anniversary with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our meal. We made a reservation for around 7pm, and they took us to the patio outside. I personally prefer being seated indoors, as it can get either too hot or too cold in the winter, but it is quite nice when the weather cooperates. The tables are also personally on the small side so keep that in mind if you're planning to order many appetizers. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and served us quickly. We ordered beef tacos to start. We usually get the fish tacos (which are some of our favourite tacos in the city) but we wanted to try something new. These tacos were great and the sauces were amazing. We then had the Burrata Fresco. It was our first time having this as well and we were quite pleased with it. The cheese was super creamy and went super well with the bread. Usually, the mains take a while to come, especially if you come on a weekend night (this was Father's day weekend, so it took a bit longer than usual) Finally we got to our mains. He had his usual, the Chimichurri steak sandwich, and I got a fish and chips, which i had never tried before. His steak was great and cooked really well. I've had the steak sandwich before as well and it was super well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Do keep in mind they only serve it with one slice of bread, though you can add an additional slice to make it a real sandwich. My fish and chips were good as well. The fish was thickly battered and was a little on the oily side but it wasn't bad. It went great with the truffle fries I ordered. The slaw was purple cabbage, which I think I prefer to the green cabbage kind. The restaurant was kind enough to give us a free cheesecake on the side with a cool flame sparkler for me and my boyfriend's anniversary. It was quite good and we thought is was quite generous of the restaurant. Overall, Taps is a great all rounder place to get food with your family or friends. They serve great pizzas here as well and I haven't had a dish I was disappointed with yet. It is on the pricier side, but if you have the ability to splurge, this is a great place to do so.

We had to also flag them down to get take out boxes, and again for the bill. The food: the appetizer, we ordered the calamari it had good flavours and were crispy. Slighly more oily but still delicious. The jerk chicken had good flavours and was very tender. The veggie upgrade is NOT worth it and extra $3 for 5 carrots and 3 broccolis. The rib eye steak was okay, the cut is not the best. The hot stone makes the table very hot, the plate holding it was cracked and hazardous imo. Fries in general were tasty and the 3 different sauces were good. In general this place needs to step it up a little, atleast with service since it's the easiest thing to change. I was staying in Mississauga to catch an early morning flight on Friday. I craved Swiss Chalet. This location at Meadowvale Town Centre was a seven-minute drive from the hotel. I place an online order for the following items: - Quarter chicken dinner with a baked potato and butter - Loaded baked potato soup with chicken (cup) - Diet Pepsi (can) - Festive special add-on (Lindt chocolates, scratch-and-win ticket, cranberry sauce, and stuffing) The quarter chicken combo with the drink and soup was $19 using a coupon. I added the festive special because I love stuffing, cranberry sauce, and Lindt chocolates. I got an estimated time when my food would be ready. I waited patiently in my car. When it was time to fetch it, I walked over to the eatery. Swiss Chalet is next door to Jersey Mike's, which I also love. I headed to the former's takeout section. There was a screen showing prepaid takeout orders. My name was on there and it said that my food was cooking. A man called out my name, who was looking at the food in paper bags on an open shelf. My food wasn't cooking. It was ready! He handed me two paper bags with my goodies. I thanked him and headed to my car. I put my precious cargo into my insulated bag and headed to the hotel to check in. Once I was in my room, I had dinner. I have been eyeing the loaded baked potato soup with chicken for a while. It was everything that I had hope for and more! The potato cubes were large, but they fit perfectly in my mouth. It had cheese and a lot of chicken. It was hearty and yummy on a cold evening. My quarter chicken dinner was yummy. I loved how moist and fall-off-the-bone tender the chicken was. My baked potato was so good with the butter. I was happy to go with two potato sides. It came with a roll that I devoured. I dipped everything in the chalet sauce. Roll? Dip. Chicken? Dip. Baked potato cubes? Dip. So good! i love the stuffing and cranberry sauce. I love the festive meal and was glad that I could add on the festive part to my regular quarter chicken meal. I inhaled the Lindt chocolates. The can of Diet Pepsi washed everything down. It was cold and perfect. When I'm in the area, I'd return here for more good eats. This store doesn't have direct access to the mall. I do like the separate entrance that you can go in when the mall is closed for the night. (472)
