I booked Social Limousine for my birthday. Big mistake! 1. The AC was broken, it was 95 degrees outside. 2. The two bottles of sparkling wine that was suppose to be provided in the limo was not there. 3. They offered extra 2 hours to compensate for the broken AC for which they later charged me on my credit card! 4. I paid the driver a 20% tip in cash at the end of the day and then got charged for the tip on my credit card!!!! 5. I attempted to contact the company to discuss these charges, I've been ignored!!! I've reviewed other yelp reviews and I see I'm not the only one who has had these problems. This seems to be a pattern with this company. TERRIBLE SERVICE!!! They forgot to give us our two bottles of champagne that were SUPPOSED to be included in the original price. The driver DID NOT take us to the wineries we requested. He took us to ones that he selected that each had $25 tasting fees. I suspect Social Limousine has some kind of operation with these wineries and they receive a kick-back for each passenger they bring to their tasting rooms. The driver was nice, but car was not clean. Wine glasses still had leftover wine in the glasses and I suspect the driver was using - most likely cocaine from his strange behaviour/mannerisms. WARNING WARNING WARNING I'm not the type of person who goes and talks bad about others but Social Limousine really messed up. First of all ladies who are planning their wedding watch out what vendors you hire through Wedding Fairs! I attended a wedding Fair back in October 2012 where I decided to book Social Limousine because of the great deal. I immediately gave a $100 cash deposit. (I do have the receipt). My wedding was in July so I had sometime before I contacted them to give them information about location pick up and other details. I first emailed them On March 10th asking them what kind of information they needed to make sure everything was booked on time. I got a reply the next day with a list of things they needed to know. I then Emailed them back in May 6th with all the information (I was not sure of hotel accommodations for my wedding until this date). In this email I asked for them to confirmed they received it. How dumb of me to not check back right away, but I didn't receive and email back. May 22th I called and spoke to some guy named Johnny where he told me that he had nothing in the books about my wedding and asked to email him directly and he will make sure to put it in the book. as my wedding got closer I had a lot to deal with and take care of that I figured the Limo was taken care of. What a big mistake. I called about 1 month before my wedding and kept getting the message that their mail box was full so I couldn't leave a message. 2 weeks before my wedding I called to confirm everything was ok. I first called the business number and was able to leave a message and then I called the other number they have available and "Johnny" answered with angry voice because I called both numbers. I asked if my confirmation was in place and he asked me for my info. He then said he didn't know what I was talking about. I explained I had already made a cash deposit and the numerous emails I (still have). So anyways here's what I experienced when traveling with Social Limousine. -EVERY time I book a car whether it was a airport transfer at 5am or a Sonoma wine tour, Social Limousine would have a driver at my residence at least 15 minutes early! #winning - FREEBIES! Aberaham kindly waived an extra hour charge for our group after using them for a wine tour. Not to mention complimentary tastings at 3 vineyards. -VALUE, there cars and drivers were both proffesional and up to par with many standards customers may have for a limo service Conclusion? USE THEM! You would be crazy not to, there prices are extremely competitive and the customer service is great! Thank you again to Abraham for making my journeys the airport far less stressful. Like others, I bought a Groupon deal which turned out to be just OK. Our driver was great -- very friendly, very amiable, and very accommodating. But upon receiving the bill, I too was shocked to see a hefty tip included in the bill -- after we had already tipped handsomely. Also, there was a $200 error on the bill that if I had not caught, I would have been charged. It took several emails back and forth to resolve, but eventually, I did get a refund. I had friends in town this past weekend and we wanted to head up to Sonoma, but no one really wanted to either stay sober or drive drunk (duh!). We found a Groupon for Social Limo and contacted the company to see if we could literally use it for the following day. They said yes! I had to email them a contract and a credit card authorization form. Okay, I thought this was a little sketchy but it turns out it's for potential damages and mandatory 20% gratuity (at the list price). However, our limo showed up right on time the next morning, and we had a great time. I had looked up the company on Yelp as I was scanning and emailing back their paperwork, and got a little spooked. We thought we might go a little over our six hours, and had prepared ourselves for a one-hour surcharge. However, when we were dropped off, maybe 10 minutes over, the driver kindly waived the surcharge!!! All in all, we had a great experience. Our driver knew the area really well, the limo was clean and comfortable (if a little dated), the price for eight people was under $70 each, and they were able to book us on less than 24 hours notice! I have found this service on line and really wanted to use them since they had such good reviews. I spoke with Abraham and he told me I could have a party bus for 20 people for $1300, then I couldn't get a hold of them for a while, and via email he told me I could have a 16 party bus for 1300. Initially I bought if would be k, but I would have to check with my friends and see how many are coming, but here is my credit card just in case it's k. Well, 20 are coming and he did not have the bus to accommodate me, but charged my card anyway for $150.00 cancellation fee. Cancellation fee for a service I did not book and he could not provide. Now, he is offering a bus for 20 for $1500, but I already booked elsewhere. I think this unethical, since I did not authorize the charge and he did not have the service that I needed. read more

He told me I couldn't cancel and that he would take me to court for a $150 fee. I ignored the email as I had never given him my credit card info to complete a confirmation and I had only reserved a date for one day before canceling. Tonight I checked my credit card statement and realized somehow this man had my credit card info and charged my card, not $150, but $524 without my permission and he did this well after we had already canceled via email. If I could give zero stars that would be a little more accurate. Bought the "deal"' on living socail, ended up being not such a deal. Customer service was terrible. Every time I called them it seemed Like I was bothering them or interrupting them. Last time I checked a gratuity was just that. Based on service, you cannot tell people what to tip!!! DO NOT BOOK iTOUR OR SOCIAL LIMO!! I purchased a living social deal for six hour napa winery tour for $299. The company is advertised as itour. The limo was advertised to come with two bottles of champagne, water, cheese & crackers. We got a limo with bad speakers (only the back end worked), broken a/c (seven women sweating like pigs in dresses), and missing champagne, cheese, & crackers. After complaining to the driver and calling the company to complain the supervisor offered an extra hour free of charge (which we declined) and the driver volunteered to stop at a store to purchase champagne, cheese, & crackers. The driver came back with a bottle of champagne (to which after a day of wine tasting we weren't that interested in), a box of crackers, and a package of Kraft singles. Seriously??!! All we could do was laugh all the way home. Until I got my credit card statement and saw they charged me $528.60 for tax, 20% gratuity on the original price not the livingsocial price and an extra hour fee! When I called to dispute the extra hour fee the company itour was totally uncooperative and unwilling to accommodate even though they were at fault not only for not providing everything as advertised but charging us for their delay. Complete and total FRAUD ALERT! The actual experience was fine - the driver was friendly and on time. Unfortunately, can't say the same thing for the owner and the customer service! My credit card was charged within 2 hours of us getting back, which would not have been a problem - except that it got charged for an amount $150 MORE than what it should have been! I have tried to understand what the charges were for, and after half a dozen emails and half a dozen phone calls, in which he kept saying everything is written in black and white he admitted there was a mistake, said it was his accounting department that screwed up and that he will refund me. 10 days later, still no refund AND he's not picking up calls from my phone! If I use a different number, all of a sudden he's always available! I've been asking for a receipt since day 1 - every day he says 'tomorrow' and then nothing! what kind of a legitimate company can't provide a receipt!? Do not use. Biggest scam ever. 1. I emailed and called multiple times prior to the service, to ask what the final amount would be for 20% tip and 8% tax, never responded. Biggest red flag ever, and regret not canceling. 2. The driver was 15 minutes late, no big deal. Understand there is traffic, but we were 15 minutes late in getting back and wanted an extra $150 CASH. The company tells you not to pay the driver directly, but told us he would negotiate $120. This place is so shady. Do not book this deal using Living Social, Groupon or any other websites. This company doesn't give you what they promised and then they will turn around and charge your card for all these extra fees that were not listed in the details. For example: - Missing a Bottle of Champagne as well as our Cheese and Cracker Platter: When we asked about the missing items the driver blamed it on Living Social, so we contacted Living Social, they in return, blamed it on the driver. The driver ended up stopping to pick-up the missing items and purchased Kraft individual wrapped cheese, crackers, and some really cheap champagne, thanks. He also offered us some half eaten peanuts, really! We declined because God knows whose hands have been all over the peanuts. - Extra Charges: At the end of our ride, we tipped the driver cash and then the limo company decides to take another tip without our consent. What makes matters worse is that the limo company decides to take their tip off of the original value of the deal instead of what we actually paid. The man I spoke to took the Groupon number and according to my account information at Groupon I redeemed the Groupon. Interesting considering THEY DIDN'T SHOW UP and I almost missed my flight. I called them, of course no one answered and no one has responded to the message I left either. If I could give them zero stars I would. "I don't care how good the price is - it's NOT worth it!" I had reserved Social Limousine about one month before a wine tour my husband and I planned for us and 10 friends scheduled for July 22, 2017. Two weeks before our event, I decided to peruse the Yelp! reviews and within minutes, I was on the phone with Abraham telling him I had to cancel our reservation. He sounded genuinely surprised and asked why, and I said, "Did you read your Yelp! Reviews!?!?" After a brief silence (which suggested to me he probably never read his reviews), I told him all the horror stories posted on Yelp! about Social Limousine, and he seemed truly floored. He asked me to give him a shot and promised me I wouldn't regret keeping my reservation. To soothe my anxieties (and believe me, after reading the reviews on this page I was very, VERY ANXIOUS), he agreed to proceed under terms that made me feel slightly more comfortable. After talking it over, my husband and I agreed to take the chance and decided to trust Abraham despite the reviews. We took the chance on believing in his promise to do everything he can to make our event wonderful. And he did just that. Our driver, Alfonso, called me the night before and assured me not to worry - that our wine tour was going to be great. He told me the Sprinter was washed, cleaned and ready to go, and asked me to download an app called "Glympse" so that I could track his location since he would be driving from the peninsula to Napa. Alfonso showed up at the pick-up location 30 minutes before departure AND before my husband and I arrived! The Sprinter was stocked with ice and bottles of water. Our wine tour package included a bar upgrade and we had everything the upgrade promised: Two bottles of Prosecco, crackers and cheese. The Sprinter was clean and air conditioned with a working stereo that was iPhone compatible. We visited four wineries that day and made it just in time for our dinner reservations downtown - our last stop of the tour. Alfonso was a true professional who was easily accessible and never left us waiting - he disappeared as soon as he dropped us off, then reappeared within minutes after I called to let him know we were ready to leave. The next morning, Abraham called me to see how the tour went and I told him I couldn't be happier. Monday morning, as promised, I received an email from PayPal vis-à-vis Social Limousine reflecting the amount due. My suggestion? DO NOT PASS THIS UP. I get that you feel wary and hesitant. Why are you guys still in business??? I agree with previous reviews...biggest scam ever. I used their services on 11/23/14 and a couple weeks later I am still dealing with them, and am in the process of disputing my credit card charges. I called them multiple times beforehand to make the reservation. No one answered, or has ever answered in the load of times I've called. At first, they called me back quickly. I was able to make my reservation, but they did not give me any kind of bill beforehand and I was told 'not to worry' and that everything would be fine. Everything is not fine. After my ride, I go to check my credit, and I am grossly overcharged. I email and call them for days straight. Finally, 3 days after calling and emailing they call me back. They tell me the original charge they put on my card 'was mixed up with another party'. Then still try to overcharge me because the driver says that we were late getting back, when WE WERE NOT LATE. The man on the phone tells me it's the driver's word against mine. I proceeded to tell him how ripped off and taken advantage of I was. Never, never, NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES!!!! I understand that businesses don't make that much off of their travelzoo deals they offer and the whole point is to get exposure...but after my experience I would not use them again. We purchased a deal for a 5 hour wine tour, and we had to meet at the ferry building in SF. As soon as the driver showed up he said that we needed to be quick b/c we only had the limo for 5 hours, and that if we were a minute over 5 hours, it would be an additional $125 person. He then proceeded to say that he didn't think we would be able to go to the advertised wineries within the 5 hour time limit because they were too far away. I found this rather irritating because the deal was advertised as a five house wine tour with the tasting fees for the three wineries included. The limo company should know how long it takes to go to all three of the wineries, and if they had been having problems with time, they should have suggested three other wineries as back ups. Since we bought the package with the tasting fees included, I did not want to pay extra to go to a different winery. Plus we were sharing the limo with strangers, and it is very difficult to make new plans that accommodate everyone with people you don't know in an area that you are not familiar with. I don't have a smart phone so I had to rely on the other people in the car to make the new plans. Additionally, there were supposed to be two bottles of champagne in the car according to the deal, but there was only one. Also, the deal was for 8 people, but fortunately we only had six people because there is no way eight people would have fit into the car. The real kicker, the driver made us sign blank credit card slips to cover any "overtime." If you didn't sign the slip, the driver would not start the trip. This infuriated me because I saw where it said you were required to tip, but I had brought sufficient cash, and to sign a blank credit card slip with a company that I am not familiar with and not being treated nicely by makes me very wary and upset. Update - Very funny that the owner claims he didn't sell any deals through travelzoo, living social....look at the other reviews, we all have the same problem. Horrible people/ horrible service. My then fiancée originally found these guys through a wedding expo and made a deposit. By the time we go to book our package, they had changed the amount of people the limo could carry and were very unresponsive to calls. Not wanting to lose my deposit we decided to stick it out. The limo driver was 45min late to arrive causing the wedding to start later than expected. The worst part came at the end of the night. The driver asked for a credit card imprint then asked me to sign a blank copy. After reading the reviews I knew better and asked him to put an amount down. Not once or twice but THREE times the driver tried to add an extra 100 dollars to the bill thinking I would not notice. The driver repeatedly said "what are you reading this for just sign it" and started being very aggressive. It gets better, as soon as we sign the credit slip he says he is not going to take us back to the hotel and LEAVES US AT OR VENUE ON OUR WEDDING NIGHT. Was invited to join a group of ladies in San Francisco to go wine tasting in Sonoma this past Saturday, 3/9/2013. Social Limo was supposed to arrive at 10:30 in the morning to take us on our adventure. 45 minutes later we were still waiting for the limo to arrive. The gal that invited us called several numbers she had for Social Limo, some on the contract and others she was given to call. After she left a message or three, she continued to call but kept getting voice mail. No call back. At 11:15 I called the limo company I always use - Angel Worldwide - and asked if they had a limo available to come take us on our adventure, and they did! They were there by 12:00! So very disappointed in Social Limo. Would prefer to give them only 1/2 a star, but not able to do that. I will stick with my tried and true limo company! I called them several times to complain and was told that they would issue a credit, which they never did. Then I was told that accounting would issue me a refund check and that never happened. Check your credit cards immediately after! This company is extremely disorganized and shady. I wanted to make sure that they had availability on the day I wanted prior to purchasing a Bloomspot deal. They emailed me promptly and said yes they were available so of course I purchased the Bloomspot. Immediately after, I emailed them back to tell them that I wanted to officially reserve the date. No response. I followed back up with them less than a week later and they said no limousines were available and rudely stated that I should have emailed him (Abraham). I sent him the email string, he felt like an idiot probabably and he "found" us a limousine for the day. Strike 1. Day of the limousine ride comes and a grouchy old man sits in a long black limousine. Kudos to the car washer because I do have to admit that the limousine looked great but I was dying to put a paperbag or mask over Abraham's surly face. Way to be a buzzkill Abraham. Strike 2. Day after the limousine ride, my girlfriend checks her bank account and Social has taken an extra 200 and charged it to the account. I bought a deal from travelzoo for a 6 hour limo tour of Sonoma County for $425. I was very thorough about filling out all the forms and letting them know when and where my group and I wanted to be picked up. The night before our trip, I got a phone call from the driver asking where and when he was supposed to pick me up because he had no idea. WHY didn't he know?! He said he would email me the vouchers for the free tasting as well, but of course he didn't. The morning of our trip, I had to frantically call them to email me the vouchers. Luckily, we received the email an hour before our trip. The trip itself was fine, our driver was very friendly. We tipped him 20% of $425, because we misunderstood the contract. We were supposed to tip 20% of the original price. The next day, my credit card was charged $180....WHAT?! Okay, even if it's 20% of $800, that's just $160. We already gave the driver 20% of $425, which is $85. So technically, we only owe them $75 (160-85), not $180. I called Abraham and he AGREED to refund me $105. He claimed to have tried refunding me multiple times but it wouldn't go through my credit card. I called my bank twice to check if there was a block on my card or if anybody even TRIED to refund my card. They said NO. I've tried emailing and calling again a billion times but nobody replied or called me back. When I threatened to sue, they finally replied to my email asking how I would like my refund since my card wasn't working properly. I told them to mail me a check.......and I haven't heard from them since. My trip was all the way back in August and now it's 2013 already! Stay away from this company! They may lose your reservation! This was the worst experience and I have not been recommending them to anyone. I scheduled a pickup a month in advance and received confirmation that they would pick us up. The pickup time came and went and I was told during my first call to them that we were supposed to have called them when we were at the curb and they abruptly hung up. The second call had them admitting that they had forgotten our reservation and that a driver was on their way but wouldn't be there for 25 minutes. By this time they were 25 minutes late already. The owner told us to call for a cab that they would refund us the fare because otherwise we would have missed our flight. My experience with this company was TERRIBLE. I bought a Groupon for a wine tour . They were 45 minutes late for pick-up, they didn't follow through with paying for our tastings (like the Groupon said it included), I tipped cash at the end and was charged on top of that the following day. When I fought the charges, they just stopped responding to my emails, I have yet to hear from them and got screwed out of $$ for a crappy service. BEWARE! UNETHICAL, UNPROFESSIONAL!! Only gave them 1 star because zero stars is not an option. I had a bad experience with this company. The person I spoke with was Abraham. We signed a contract whereby we had a 7 day cancellation policy. I explained to him that I would possibly need to upgrade our car size depending on our headcount and he said that he would be happy to oblige and gave me a price that I thought was fair for an upgraded vehicle. Unfortunately (as mentioned) our headcount grew beyond our car size and so I contacted Abraham (a week prior to our reservation date) to upgrade our car size. He said they had availability, but this time he gave me a higher quote of $300 difference! I tried to negotiate a middle point for his new price so that we could both benefit from the upgrade, afterall, we would have preferred to stick with using them since we had this reservation booked for quite sometime already and our event date was almost here; however, Abraham was not interested in negotiating or sticking with his previous verbal quote for an upgrade. I told him that if he could not provide us with an upgrade at his previous quoted rate that we discussed, (a rate that many other companies were willing to offer us) that we would need to cancel our reservation especially since we were still within our without penalty cancellation time frame. This is when he went MIA. He began to avoid our calls, not return my phone calls, and then I realized, he was trying to avoid us until it was too late for us to cancel our reservation. Luckily when I blocked our telephone number and called him, I caught him live on the phone to tell him that we were cancelling our reservation (which was our last day to cancel without penalty), He threatened to charge our card $150 for a deposit which was not in the terms of our agreement. If I could give a negative star I would They over charged me by $200 and are super rude when I try to figure out what for. I tried for over a week to get this resolved and the dispatch guy stopped taking my calls! T-E-R-R-I-B-L-E!!! 1. Driver was LATE 2. Driver has NO sense of direction. He got us lost TWICE. 3. insisted on a CASH tip of 20% then proceeded to think it was no big deal to stop at a bank in the middle of the Tenderloin at 1130pm...no ATM to be found! 4. Limo was dirty 5. Windows did not roll up automatically...Driver had to pull up windows with his hand 6. No ice in the bar...just warm water where the ice should have been 7.
