If you love Peruvian food, you have to try this place! Great service, beautiful ambiance, and exceptional service. Went here on a Friday evening with my dinner club and we were throughly impressed. The food was so tasty and the drinks were even better. I've had many Pina Coladas in my day but theirs was by far the best I've had, so rich and creamy! We ordered so much food to share but my favorite dish was the Peruvian social, it was super fresh. Our waiter Eduardo was so nice and attentive to our group. We were originally seated outside but wanted to go inside due to allergies and he made it happen. Not only was he knowledgeable about the menu but he took the best pics of our group. This place is a much try, very instagramable if that's your vibe. Not a big establishment so I do recommend making reservations. Will definitely be back.

This was such an amazing dinner find during my trip to NOLA! Came here with a few coworkers and everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered the salmon sashimi, and I loved the passion fruit sauce that it comes with. Super light and fresh, I wish it came with more salmon! I ordered the fettuccine huancaina and I loved it. Super flavorful and the sauce that it comes with is super creamy. Highly recommend the arroz con leche, it comes in a corn mold and I love that horchata taste with the cinnamon. All the food was great and definitely instagram worthy. I've never had much Peruvian food before but would definitely come back!

Beautiful spot and great service. The food was very flavorful. We tried the won tacos and i had the short ribs which were amazing. Taking off a star bc there were a few things we wanted to order that had ran out. The menu is not that big so that limited the offerings. I would definitely return.

Social is an experience! What stood out was the decor, attentiveness of staff, presentation of the food, and the flavors. Our waiter was kind and quite knowledgeable. He did an exceptional job of explaining menu items we were unfamiliar with. I had the octopus which was not only beautiful to look at, but quite tasty as well. My friend had the wings which had a unique flavor you probably wouldn't get elsewhere in the city, as well as the white beans. She enjoyed the white beans so much, she ended up ordering another side of them. I'd definitely double back to Social to try more menu items, as it seems you can't go wrong with anything.

Finally got to visit Social and was very pleased with the food, service and the aesthetic of the decor. We didn't have a reservation on a Friday evening and the host was so kind to seat us at an open table outside. The twinkle lighting and setup made for a really nice atmosphere, but I would've preferred an indoor seat because the temperature was dropping steadily. None of us ordered any drinks because we had a happy hour meet up prior to dinner, so we got straight to ordering appetizers. We had the appetizer tacos, ceviche and octopus to start. Everything was delicious and the presentation was lovely. Very beautiful. The portions were small, enough for just a taste. Especially divided amongst the 4 of us. We had the fettuccine pasta with shrimp and the seafood paella for main dishes. Everything was tasty. Shout-out to our server Eduardo. He was so friendly, kind and great at explaining the menu.

Axel was an amazing server. He was attentive; accommodating and made our ten year anniversary special. What was not great was the entrees. The duck special was basically raw. I have never thrown up after dinner, and this was a first for me. The duck was not cooked to temperature. My wife ordered the lomos saltado medium rare and BOTH TIMES came back Blue/Raw. It was like the chef could not cook meats as both appetizers were phenomenal. Overall, we would not come back. After what we experienced tonight, this was definitely a let down.

Went to Social on a Thursday night for a party of 2. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, which was great. As soon as you walk up, you really get the vibe of Social. The outdoor seating is super cute, and the inside is small but very well designed, from the bar to the chair choices to even the light fixtures. The ambiance really delivered. 5/5. I don't really remember the music because it was very loud inside with all the tables full, so it was a bit hard to hear conversations. Our server was excellent!! He was attentive, checked in just enough without overdoing it, and explained the menu really well. I'll start with the best plate of the night: the salmon sashimi. Everything about this dish was tasty! The passion fruit came through in the sauce, and the sliced jalapeño added just the right kick. I'd definitely recommend this dish. After that, honestly, everything else was pretty underwhelming and lacked flavor. The yuca fries were basically fried dough balls with mozzarella inside, flavorless, and the truffle was barely noticeable. I'd pass on these. The fried rice was fine, but it lacked salt or anything to really give it an "umph". The chicken was cooked perfectly, but again, it didn't have much flavor. Dessert was... interesting. The tres leches was more like a chocolate pudding than an actual cake, with a thin layer of strawberry something on top. It was explained as a cookie, but I'm not really sure that's what it was, though it did taste like strawberry. The other dessert was also just okay. There was a lot going on flavor-wise, and it didn't really work for me personally. I'd pass on dessert altogether. Overall: ~3.5/5, but really the food was a 3. I will say though, the plating of the dishes was very pretty and well done. I'm in no rush to go back. Maybe other dishes have more flavor, maybe not, but with so much incredible, flavor-packed food in New Orleans, this spot just didn't do it for us, especially at its high price point.

Social is such a beautiful place to enjoy amazing food and drinks! I enjoyed everything about my dinner experience here. The decor is gorgeous with beautiful, comfortable chairs, outdoor seating, and large windows to gaze out of while enjoying dinner. The food and drinks were also equally as good. At the recommendation of my waiter, Deivis, I started with the yuca fries, which aren't shaped like fries at all. They are very delicious! The are shaped into balls with I think a mozzarella and yuca mix stuffed inside. I loved them!! I tried the pasta al pesto for dinner, and it was a panko battered, butterflied chicken breast on top of a bed of green noodles. DELICIOUS! The wait staff is also top notch here. My glass of water never stayed low, the waiter gave us excellent recommendations, and Deivis was super attentive! I can't wait to come back! Also, I received a delicious tres leches over a chocolate cake as a birthday dessert! Along with a birthday chant and sparkler from the team. I love this place!

I decided to pop into this new restaurant before heading the the Saenger Theater for a play. It's in the old location of Tito's on Magazine. This place is nicely decorated with outdoor seating as well. It's small and intimate. That being said, get a reservation. The waiter was amazing and the staff consistently asked if there was anything we needed. I even was asked before leaving if there was anything that they could improve. The hospitality was impressive. The food was amazing. I didn't realize that this place has some Japanese influence in the menu. Peruvian and Japanese fusion is the couple I didn't knownI needed to meet. Everything was super fresh and delicious. We were served in a timely fashion. I can't wait to return to try more things.

So impressed by our dining experience here! Came in on a busy weekend night and they were able to accommodate us without reservations. Food came out a little on the slower side but was in good company. We sat on the cute outdoor patio and really enjoyed it. Started off with the truffle yuca fries and tuna tartare tacos. Both full of flavor, just wish the yuca fries had a bit more truffle flavor. Beautiful plating presentations! Also got the filet mignon entree. Perfectly cooked medium rare & seasoned well. Loved the combination of flavors with the oyster sauce & accompaniments. Service was outstanding, best we've had out in a while. Appreciated the table side lemon & strawberry offerings for our water, Overall, great experience and looking forward to trying the ceviche + other items next time!

The space at Social on Magazine is small, quaint, and thoughtfully designed, with calming décor that makes it feel warm and inviting. The service was excellent, and the team was attentive throughout the visit. That said, the menu was a bit challenging for someone with dietary restrictions. There weren't many options that worked for me, and I was disappointed that there wasn't a single green salad available. I had a hard time finding something I could eat and ultimately settled on two servings of bread, which were great, along with wings that I mostly ate around. The wings were a bit fatty and just okay. Overall, the atmosphere and service were strong, but I'd love to see a few more lighter, fresher, and dietary-friendly options added to the menu.

This place is absolutely amazing. The ambiance is so peaceful and Aestethic . Decided to eat outside due to the weather being wonderful. Our waiter was such a sweet heart and really did a good job throughout our time there. The food was very very tasteful. I would recommend the tacos especially. Def plan on visiting this place again soon.

Really great spot! The restaurant is beautiful and it almost felt like I was sitting in a cave. It was warm, cozy, intimate and really modern. Loved it! The service was great, I had the most amazing server who was attentive, polite, and who really took his time to explain the menu. We ordered the seafood paella and shrimp fettuccine, the paella was the best I've ever had. It was favorable, the portion was good and just a balanced dish. The pasta lacked flavor. It fell flat but the shrimp were beautifully cooked.

The ceviches were delicious, but the standout was the Lomo Saltado. The steak so juicy, the sauce bursting with flavor, the kind you end up mopping off the plate. Not everything hit though. The anticuchos in the steak version came out dried out and bland, just okay. Should've gone with the traditional one. And a heads up if you've got kids, there isn't much for them on the menu, so ours ended up picking off our plates. Random bonus, halfway through dinner we spotted an actress from the latest season of The White Lotus a few tables over, the one shot in Thailand. Fun little surprise. Most of it was great, the drinks especially, and we had a genuinely good time. Recommend it, just skip the steak anticuchos.

Fresh seafood from the Gulf of MEXICO and a wicked drink menu. They offer several ceviches. We had the crispy cauliflower served with tempura, cashew habanero crema, garbanzo hash, and chimichurri. Loads of flavor and just the right bite size for tapas/apps. Plates include churrasco, fish and grits, paella (can be served veggie or without shellfish if you're allergic), lamb, Yucatan style pork, shrimp or steak mofongo, and chicken poblano. We've generally loved the food and service, but I'm worried that something has changed as we've been disappointed the last two times. 10 days ago we went with company in town, and my niece and I each got the caprese empanadas. Everyone else's order was fine but my caprese had green olives in it, which is not ever an ingredient in caprese anything and isn't listed under caprese in the empanola menu either. My niece's didn't have the olives, so I chalked this up to a random mistake and let it go. I did drop a quick note to the company on their "contact us" button just as an fyi for quality control, just in case it was a more regular mistake they should address, but I also said it wasn't a big deal, I just wanted to make them aware. Tonight we ordered 8 empanadas but only had 6 in the box when we got home. My husband drove back over quickly as they were about to close. I texted him while he was there replacing the other two missing empanadas, to let him know there were green olives yet again in the two caprese empanadas. The staff were very friendly and helpful and assured him that green olives are not in their recipe and asked for pictures, which I sent. They replaced my two caprese with the only one they had left, and threw in the next closest thing, which was spinach and artichoke, though I don't love that one personally. Anyway, the replacement caprese also has green olives in it now too, so I'm going to go make myself something else for dinner and now don't feel like ordering my caprese favorites anymore from there, as this is apparently an ongoing and regular mistake. I'm really bummed about this as the workers are very friendly and we've had lots of great experiences with this place that's so convenient and easy for us to walk to also. We love supporting all the great neighborhood businesses around here, of which Empanola has been high on our list for quite a while. I hope they get this sorted out, and I hope that there's a way I can know when the issue is fixed as I've now paid for three (and got two more free, for a total of 5) empanadas that were not actual caprese and I didn't like. It's most disappointing to my tastebuds, but it's now a risk I don't want to keep taking with my money either, as I'm paying for this continued disappointment. My husband will still continue to order with the kids when I'm not home, but we won't order as a family anymore for a while. I can't wait til this is hopefully cleared up again though so we can go back to loving this place!
