My haircuts are about 1x/year and we usually take off a few inches (sometimes more) -- she listens really well and does exactly what you'd like and also shares her opinions on what would look good if you ask! I really appreciate Horizon's online booking system which makes it easy and convenient to find times that work for your schedule. The salon itself is always neatly kept and tidy. It is easy to find street parking and easy for me to get to (I live in Winchester).

The owner, however, walked out on my appointment after I gave a simple, polite correction about my part -- something she had asked me to show her. No explanation. No apology. She left me sitting alone, wet, for an hour on what I had told her was my first time out in a long time while navigating some personal circumstances. The cut is fine. The experience was not. I want to give 5 stars but I also felt misled simply because a good chunk of my length was lost from this and it was not worth the price paid for. It does not sit well with me. The reason I gave 3 stars instead of 4 was because the way my ends were cut were chopped off. They weren't trimmed. They were just chopped off. That'd be okay if I weren't charged $400. $400 charge was to maintain my length, but wasn't. UPDATE: Edited mine to 4 stars because I really do love the color. Sam did an amazing job with my color. She's precise and always wants to make sure my hair is done the way I like it. For a wash, cut and style, it was $50 which was reasonable. I only cut my hair 2 times a year and will only have Lien do it. Last time I went was in March 2021. I had to wait outside for less than a minute until I was called in. They took my temperature, took my contact information for contact tracing and everyone was wearing a mask. I felt safe during the whole process.

I had been a little nervous about getting my hair cut due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but they took every precaution to make them and their customers safe. He is super attentive, very observant and thoughtful, and a total wizard. If you properly explain what you want, he can do it. They also give you free bang trims if you cut your hair there. I have since moved to New York and I miss Patrick and Clementine so much! Can't wait to cut my hair here the next time I'm in Boston. The stylists at Clementine are friendly, reliable, and absolute stars. Very reasonably priced as well. Highly recommend!

The stylist did a mini consult to ask what I wanted and what the occasion was, and I explained my hair is thicker and can be frizzy. She was great and really friendly. They also offered a drink right when I checked in for my appointment. They were a bit pricey for just a 45 min blowout, but the location in union square was really convenient so I'd consider going back.
