Some reviewers have never had natural candy. No preservatives and no high fructose corn syrup means the candies dry out easier and get a big hard. Scandinavians love chewing on hard gummies and candies, it is perfectly normal and how candy gets if it has no added emulsifiers or preservatives. I love candy. I have always had a special place in my heart for all things sweet, but especially sour. I've been wanting to check this place out for a few months, and my other candy loving pals agreed to come with me. The overall aesthetic is clean and bright. I loved the candy options- if you like gummies this is the place for you. The drawers are a bit hard to open and seem flimsy. I wish each selection had a separate opening, but I suppose this makes sense when plenty of people are selecting. Customer service was friendly and informative. A lot of signs were missing above certain items, but the associates were quick to tell me what things were. Candy was yummy, and check out was a breeze. I will be back again! read more

I am in LOVE with this candy store!! I usually pop in every couple weeks to grab a bag of licorice, sour gummies and milk chocolates. Unfortunately, I spend way too much money each time, but it's well worth it for the amount of pleasure received. Really delicious candies and cute store. I've only tried the gummies, and my favorites are any of the cola-flavored ones. The sour ones are super sour. A little pricy (by the pound), but a little bag's worth is enough to satisfy given how good they are. There's some free residential parking around the area if you can't find street parking. read more

I am a candy addict. It's a real problem, but I do absolutely nothing about it except stuff myself with more candy. My cousin showed me this place when we were grabbing dinner at Mercado right next door. I'm the type of person that doesn't like soft chewy candy. I like the stale tasting, super super chewy candy. I know it's weird, but I purposely buy old candy because I love the chewiness of it. Anyways, while I was here my cousin introduced me to the miraculous sour wrenches (I don't actually know the name, but they look like wrenches). They changed my life. Hard to bite into but so chewy, I can't explain it. And it's sour and delicious and it might be my new favorite candy ever.. maybe. In the last two times I've been there, they haven't had this one out in the display, but if you just ask someone working if they have the "red sour wrenches" they will happily go in the back and bring you out a box to scoop from! This is actually the only candy I really like here, but I do throw in 2-3 skulls for a change of flavor. I wasn't a fan of their other options because they're the swedish fish type of texture where you can bite right through the gummies - not my thing, but if it's yours this place will be your candy heaven. Ultimately, let's just say this, I hate paying for parking. It makes me cranky. But I looked and paid for parking just to spend literally 3 minutes in here to buy candy. read more

NOTE: THIS PLACE IS NOT LOCATED IN THE GROVE OR THE FARMERS MARKET. IT'S ACROSS THE STREET FROM TRADER JOES. Went here on a Sunday after brunch since their candies look amazing from the pictures other Yelpers are posting. The candy store is very clean and modern looking with a good variety of candies to choose from. I went ahead and got an assortment of both chocolates and gummy candies which they offered. The chocolates there are just what you would expect from European chocolates, rich creamy, and very much melt in your mouth as it can get. I went ahead and got the chocolate covered caramels which they carry, and these M&M like ones which are larger and have a harder shell. As for the gummy choices, I got just the cola bottles and their strawberry sour straws. I prefer the American cola gummy over theirs since it texture isn't as chewy as what you can find here. As for the strawberry straws I found them more tasty then the ones you can get at the Sweet factory or any other candy store. The store also carries hand made marshmallows and chocolate cover ones, these are so good that I wish I had filled a bag up with just those. If you're by the grove and want something different from what you would find at an American candy shop check this place out, you won't be disappointed. read more

I'd give this place a 3 if it weren't for the well thought out ingredients. That is a big deal for me..to find places where I'm not putting chemicals and GMOs into my body. So up a star you go Sockerbit. So why 3 stars without that? Taste alone...which is super relative and personal, I know. I tried probably 15 different candies and almost all tasted hmmm I have no better word than cheap. Not even like grocery story candy cheap, which I sometimes have a craving for. Like the candy you got as a kid at Halloween that you then try to pawn off to your younger sibling in what you swear is a fair trade for their Snickers. The fudge tasted like candy corn which I didn't think was even possible and all the (not sugar coated) gummies taste waxy...yes I know Swedish fish is waxy tasting and I'm in a Swedish candy store so I should shut up. But can't we leave the wax just to the Swedish fish, why Sweden is all your gummy candy waxy.?! Overall the chocolates were nothing special. Especially for that price there are places in town to get some seriously good chocolate. The jellybeans again childhood memories of bad Easter basket jellybeans. With that said "sort of highlights" for me were the chocolate caramels which were a tastier rolo, all the sugar coated gummies (especially the watermelon), and the blue and red sour skulls (I can't remember flavor...raspberry?). I'd pop by again if I was already in the area and buy those three, but when I try 15 and get 3 I like that's a 20% hit mark, I'd first seek out other stores where I like all the candy in the future. read more

This place is super cool. I have never been to a candy store like this before. They offer a variety of different candies and they are not made using artificial color or sweeteners. My personal favorite was a hazelnut chocolate candy and the sour strawberry roll. They also have a lot of fun gummies to choose from like fake teeth, skulls, and sheriff badges. Recently ordered $70 worth of this because of all the positive reviews on yelp and YouTube. Let me tell you, DON'T waste your money. Talk about stale marshmallows and cheap tasting candy in general. I understand that it's "healthy" and what not, but seriously, NOT worth it. Chocolates were basic, I mean tootsie roll kind of basic. (They look fancy but taste like butt) The sweet mix candies were basically hard, colorful gelatin with splenda instead of sugar. The sour mix candies tasted like ear wax with sour sprinkles. (Don't ask don't tell). Black licorice was TERRIBLE. I am one of the few people who actually likes the stuff. but THIS stuff right here was beyond NASTY. (As well as SWEATY in the bag it comes in) But seriously I cannot stress this enough, DONT BUY THEM. Just go buy a snickers for a buck, total upgrade if you ask me. NOT worth the hype. read more
