Order Italian subs for my boyfriend and they so friendly and food always great drink and desert

I am rating this restaurant one star because I felt like their customer service could of been better once I called them about my order. I order shrimp scampi and fried dough from this place through Uber eats. My food gets delivered by the Uber driver and when i walk into my house i notice the brown bag my food is in is soaking wet. i try to rush to the sink and before I could make it the bag breaks and all my food falls out onto the floor. Everything inside the bag was soaking wet because the lid was not placed correctly on my shrimp scampi so all the sauce was dripping in the bag which caused it to bust. I'm not blaming the delivery driver but how did he not know the bag was soaking wet, it had to be on his seat. Any who I proceed to call the restaurant to let them know in hopes they'd deliver me some more food as I had to throw all of what I ordered out. Instead they blamed it on the driver and said he must of went in my bag (a bag that was staples shut mind you) and told me to call Uber instead. The Uber driver should of noticed but it was not his fault. IT WAS THE RESTAURANTS FAULT FOR NOT SEALING MY FOOD!!! Luckily Uber refunded me my money in full. If you order from here just make sure you go pickup your food because clearly they just throw things in the bag!!! Highly upset. read more

(: the ABSOLUTE BEST. My delivery driver went above and beyond getting my food on time even during a snow storm. My food was cooked to perfection and did not miss a single ingredient, in fact they even added extra. If you are looking for large portions and great food, this is most certainly the place! I was really trying to like this place but it was so bad. The pastas are either too soggy (ravioli & meatballs dish) or the sauces just have a bad taste (shrimp scampi). The "garlic bread" is just a sandwich roll with butter and cheese in between. The only thing we enjoyed were the cheese sticks, but they seemed like they were purchased from the Walmart freezer aisle. Blah. Then the owner sends me this message: "Blah blah blah Yelp, Place for crying I'm pretty sure no one read this anymore" I can post pictures for proof but if anyone with sense is even reading these reviews, just avoid this place at all costs. Not Italian food. They put cheddar cheese in Italian dishes and make no mention of it on their menu! Disgusting. What's sad is the response from the restaurant. Restaurants shouldn't have to get their bizarre fusion recipes off the internet they should actually be trained in preparing Italian food I don't think they even understand it's not Italian Cheddar cheese originated in the U.K. Calzones are mozzarella and ricotta occasionally some other Italian varieties are thrown in. I would not order from here again. I got the chicken part/ziti dinner and while the ziti is fine, the chicken tastes like it was cooked as a cutlet, then cut up and cooked again. This place is AMAZING. If you haven't eaten here recently, you've never eaten here - cannot believe how GOOD everything is. The comfort food - a+. The salads - a+. Everything is made by hand and with obvious love. Usually a place with a menu this big isn't the best - but Sofia is. I feel very lucky to have them in my neighborhood! The food is ok but horrible customer service. We called about a missing item from our order and were on hold for over twenty minutes. Eventually we hung up and called back. They then proceeded to tell us that they were delivering the item that we did not receive...which was fine but why did they not tell us that initially? They were incredibly rude and sounded as though they were laughing at us on the line. read more

Ordered the Sicilian pizza and it was tasty! I would recommend if you've never tried it.

Decided to order here based on word of mouth rave. BF and I weren't completely disappointed, yet ot did not live up to our excitement. We got the buff chic calzone, which tasted great, but there wasnt enough filling, as u can see from the pic. Maybe it was a fluke, and sure I could have taken it home and reassembled the entire calzone, but we d8dnt want to do that, and why should u have to reassemble a meal that u pay for? read more

This place is a great little hole in the wall. We ordered the Greek pizza and dined in. I cannot believe how large the large is. There's enough to feed three hungry men. Ordered the Chicken Piccata, the chili flakes were way over the top (never had piccata with chili before & it wasn't listed as an ingredient). Lemon butter sauce had more than too much lemon). Update.... wish I could rate the business owners responses.... seems like a funny guy, perhaps comedy would be more suitable. All in all, it is what it is. I will say I had more trouble with Uber than with this business though. Silver lining. By far the worse pizza house I have every ordered from. First off the veggie subs from here looks like it was burnt and was completely tasteless. The wings were literally worst than charcoal. I can not believe this was served. Sophia's cam highly recommended from a poll on a neighborhood site I belong to. I was not disappointed. My wife and I order from Sophia's when we want "adult food". We have four kids who aren't interested in anything more adventurous than pepperoni pizza (or even plain cheese). We love the variety of pizza options (vegetarian and eggplant are both very good). The salads are also one of the main reasons we go back - lots of options and all very fresh. We always do pick-up so we haven't had any of the delivery issues some reviews mentioned. We have also stuck to a variety of pizzas and salads so I can't speak to their other menu items. My wife says she thinks some of the sauces on their pizzas could use a little more flavor, but she still prefers their pizza options over the other local places. read more

If you think eating salads won't fill you up, then you're wrong ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Heard great things about Sofia's and thought I would give it a try. Came here for a lunch date with a friend and we both ordered a salad. First off, the portions are HUGE. The granny smith apple, cranberry, and walnut salad was overflowing on the plate. The cheese crumbled on top was a bit salty, but works well with the sweetness of the cranberries and the crunchiness of the walnuts. This also came with some bread that was absolutely delicious imand great in texture! My friend ordered the salad with the mandarin oranges in it and enjoyed it as well. While we ate, 5 fly friends decided to come join our meal. We ended up evolving into master fly swatters because this was driving us crazy. I don't think anyone enjoys bugs buzzing around their faces while they eat. We would've enjoyed our meal a lot more if there weren't flies all over the place. An interesting thing to note is that they have a "complaint" jar at the register where they state that you write your complaint on a bill that is worth at least $1 before putting into the jar. After a long, hot day of exploring the Freedom Trail, we arrived back at our hotel in need of some sustenance. Pizza was the agreed-upon result, and I quickly began scouring my phone for local joints. We decided to go with Sofia, and ordered a hawaiian and supreme to be delivered to our hotel. I usually order online and the food is always ready by the time I get here, even though I live a five minute walk away. The buffalo wings are very crispy and surprisingly, the sauce is very spicy! I am also a fan of the buffalo chicken quesadilla and waffle fries. I've had a couple of their pizzas and while fresh, I found the toppings to be lacking in taste. I've been there a few times in the last two weeks and every time has been great! Thus far my favorite items are their salads. The California Salad was wonderful. Loved the fresh avocado and sprouts most; t was a really big and tasty salad. The next time I tried the Buffalo Chicken Salad and could not finish it...too much food. It came with a really nice side of fresh, homemade, soft, warm bread sticks, which are fabulous. My dinner mate the one night had a wonderful cheese and meat free pizza which he really enjoyed as well. My friends and I love the place--great fresh food -and a great value. Do not order from here -- They served us spoiled beef in two hamburgers. I returned them for a refund and was told, "Someone made a mistake and put old meat together with fresh meat." The meat smelled disgusting, like rotten fish. I will never order from here again. read more
