Sogno is a stylish and energetic addition to Woburn, and the food is generally excellent. The dining room has a lively vibe, and the service is friendly and attentive. The Burrata is a very good dish with cherry tomatoes, basil, garlic oil, aged balsamic, and grilled ciabatta. Even knowing burrata is an expensive ingredient, the price feels high for what you get. One of my go‑to entrées is the Rigatoni alla Bolognese, which is consistently satisfying whether ordered traditional or oven baked with fresh ricotta. One thing regulars will notice is that Sogno tends to rotate many fan favorites off the menu. Servers openly acknowledge that guests ask for certain dishes to return, but they also explain that the chef and owner decide what stays and what goes. It can be frustrating when a great dish disappears without warning. Another thing worth mentioning: Sogno often features live music. If that is not your thing, make sure to request a table as far away from the performance area as possible because the sound carries and can make conversation difficult. Lastly, although the owner also owns the building, he has a habit of parking his four‑door Mercedes wherever he wants rather than in an actual parking spot. It comes across as pretentious and unnecessary. If I were to park where he does, I am sure I would be towed. My Linguine Al Limone was savory; the crab meat was very fresh and clearly well-sourced. The linguine tasted dar-gone homemade, Ethel! It was divine -- almost as decadent as Almafi fare. And I've been there & chowed dat fare. THIS fare was a hair (talkin' a hair, y'all) overly limone-y -- but perhaps im acting like Tom Colicchio on Top Chef?! Idk?! I just wanna let 'em know, ya know? Keep it 100, ya know? Bruschetta -- exquisite. We ordered one lemon. And one prosciutto. Crunchy. Fresh. Divine bites. Also, the calamari was crispy & came to the table in a cute basket. The calamari is Rhode Island style. Lots of waiting, though. Yawwwwnnn... Courses took their daaaaaaaaaaaang time to grace the table. On our most recent visit we ordered the Fritti misto, eggplant app, clam linguine, crab pasta and steak and everything was delicious. Restaurant is on the upscale side. First time at Sogno, as friends asked us to join them. Beautiful dining room, large and can accomodate large parties. Volume is a little on the louder side, but not really a concern. We had a very pleasant server and found delivery from the kitchen and timing of the courses to be right on target. Menu leans classic Italian, but has some twists which made it interesting. For example, there was a pasta bolognese, but our waitress told us there was also a version that was baked and topped with Ricotta cheese. I took her suggestion and glad I did, quite delicious. Cocktails were also good, as were the wide selection of appetizers. If I have to find any fault, perhaps some of the appetizers arrived at the table less than piping hot. Plenty of parking, good food and service, give them a try when in the area. read more

Celebrated my birthday here last year with a friend. It was definitely crowded but a beautiful restaurant. The waitress was very nice and attentive. It was our first time at Sogno and we asked the waitress what she recommended. The food came out good. I really liked their margarita pizza the most. Came here for a birthday party with a large group. Service was absolutely stellar. We had multiple staff members check in and make sure we had what we needed and our waiter was awesome. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. It's a nicer place, has a cool glassed in wine room you can check out and everything was spotlessly clean. A group of us came to Sogno for a birthday celebration. Service was great, and we were checked on often. I got the Sogno Cesare with chicken on the side, il fico, and Espresso Martini. Our table shared the Wagyu carpaccio, and Polpo alla griglia. My favorites were the Polpo alla griglia, and il fico. The il fico is very light and refreshing, slightly sweet and you can really taste the fig. Everyone enjoyed their food and had a great time. They do give a basket of bread and only olive oil. Sogno is on the pricier side, and I personally would only come here for special occasions, or a fancy date night. The restaurant is modern and feels intimate. They have indoor and some covered outdoor seating. They also have live music on some nights. For our celebration, they put us in a enclosed glass room, which was nice as it drowns out the noise, however you're surrounded by the rest of the tables on three sides so it feels like people are just looking in. read more

Should you go? The answer is hidden in the name of the place. Nice layout inside. I do like the modern space and the lighting. The interior is great. Good energy. Service was pretty good too. Not a good start for an upscale iItalian Place. Anemic foccacia. I will say the pizza was good. Nothing crazy. Even that was reasonable. $19 for a personal size Margherita pizza... ok. Fair. No complaints there. The pasta though. Big miss. Is it even homemade? I like firm noodles but what was delivered was simply undercooked. The pasta was mixed with short rib which was very tender. That part was great, but it was two ingredients. Pasta and short rib. I legit think they forgot the actual sauce. Or maybe that's how it comes. Either way.... for that price you either get it right the first time or rework the dish to use sauce. The pasta dishes are priced for high end but delivered like a mediocre chain. Again prices are fine if you're delivering great stuff. I didn't see that during my visit. The most offensive part was there was a dessert offering for $15... something of a cake or mousse with espresso Gelato and sliced figs. Not wanting to waste the cake/mousse I opted for the $13 Gelato option in the menu but asked if they could slice a fig or two on the side. A whole bowl of figs arrived... but I assumed because they have a short shelf life the kitchen wanted to get rid of some. Nope. The bill arrived with $13 for Gelato and $8 for a bowl of figs. $21. Next time I'll get the $15 dessert and waste the mousse. So dumb. That whole experience soured me on the place. $5 for tea, coffee and soft drinks. Which aren't even free refills. Definitely don't give me free refills with my $35 spaghetti. Don't ask for lemon in your water, you might see a $6 lemon fee on the bill. I'm fine with the prices of dishes that are upscale but there's a point when you just feel like you're being nickel and dimed. If not for the price issues I would have gone more stars but I'm not inclined to recommend the place based on the mediocre food and feeling like you're paying to breathe the air in there. I'm disappointed. Honestly, this has been on my list for a while. I skew towards giving 5 stars for the majority of reviews, so if I'm dropping a 3 or less.... there's something wrong. read more

I went here with my husband and a friend tonight for our first try. We had always wanted to give this place a try after driving past it several times going to another event. Our server Paul was friendly and helpful in helping us choose our meals and he gave us good recommendations from things he had tried here. The food came to our table well presented and ready to eat and it was delicious!! We were seated at the back of the restaurant near the kitchen area so we could view the meals as they left the kitchen area. There were a lot of people around us so it made having a nice conversation tricky because of the noise level. The staff was friendly and we saw (who we believed to be an owner) greeting people at the entrance door and either welcoming them or wishing them a good night. The pricing for the meal was reasonable and we will return to try something else. read more

I absolutely do not know how this place has such good reviews. If you want great ITALIAN food, do NOT go here. I was so disappointed at the quality of food, service, and management at this place! Wow, absolutely horrendous! Our waitor was terrible, didn't even bring over cheese when pasta came over (had to ask him if there was any cheese). I got the wedding soup to start and my dad got the other soup and both were gross. Literally tasted awful and also instead of the small pasta that should come in soups (and listed on the menu) came with fuselli?! Wow, we should have got up at that point and left. Just got worse from then on out! Our main dishes came out and they were terrible! My dad got the chicken which couldn't even be eaten (it was fake chicken) and I got the pesto gnocchi and the pesto was awful! They charged me an extra $12 just for some chicken on the side?! Prices are crazy expensive and wasn't worth the $124 we spent! The zeppoli also were terrible. The cream filling had absolutely no taste! And to make matters worse, the owner Ron Martignetti, actually came over to our table and actually YELLED AT MY 85 year old dad and myself! He yelled that he stands by all his dishes and came over saying he heard we didn't like the food. Totally unprofessional, arrogant, and unintelligent. The food you serve is AWFUL and instead of apologizing to your customers for such terrible food, you yell at us? Get a life! He also yelled that we didn't know what good zeppoli creme is- bc obviously all the places we've had it (including in Italy) "make it wrong with chemicals." Yeah ok! Terrible experience! We had reservations at 6:00pm last night. Only one table was occupied in the backroom. The waiter was extremely slow on placing our appetizers and dinners. We were at the restaurant for an hour and 45 minutes. Unacceptable. Ordered dessert and took 40 minutes to arrive. He obviously forgot about it until I asked about it. Sogno has been on my want-to-go date night list for a bit. We started with the Waygu Carpaccio - it was good, but so thin I'm not sure it was worth the $24. You could barely taste the steak. I ordered the 16oz Ribeye. Came topped with Bone Marrow butter, and I substituted the risotto for the mashed. It was cooked perfectly, but I did have to add some seasoning. Considering the area's plethora of exceptional Italian restaurants (I hail from Calabrian immigrants), I had high expectations for the newish Sogno in Woburn. We made reservations for 6pm on a Tuesday, and nine of us were excited for our first visit. Let's start with the physical space: the restaurant's design is open and modern, located just beyond Woburn CC on the Winchester line. I loved the shiny red Vespa positioned at the door entrance. There was live music, though overall acoustics make it difficult to carry on a conversation without shouting. The bar sits in the middle, there's a back glassed "room", and all the details (glassware, artwork, monogrammed napkins, tufted leatheresque booths) would all seem to indicate a fine dining experience worthy of the RatPack. Here's where it all goes wrong, and it simply comes down to level of service and overlooked details that, with some tweaking, could propel this establishment to the highest level. You've gotta get past the sticker shock of the prices (C'mon! I'll pay for great food, but pasta dishes do not warrant extortion). We are not in Manhattan, nor are we at The Capital Grille (whose service is unparalleled and my benchmark). I enjoyed a very tasty Italian Margarita while others had the Sogno Sippers. The pistachio martini arrived without its whipped cream garnish (stated on menu) but was delicious. More later on bar garnish snafus. The bread service is wholly underwhelming. Sliced crusty (almost stale) white bread with EVOO. We were starving but asked for a bread refill. Another staff member removed the baskets and never returned with the additional bread. Our server, Jesus, was lovely; friendly and helpful in selecting which fish to order, but not sure where he disappeared to several times during the meal. Management should assign servers to one area instead of spreading staff all over the floor; these kinds of oversights are due to lack of training by management, IMHO. With lack of bread, I ordered arancini to share with another friend. I will say that the serving bowl was hotter than the actual center of the arancini. What I did enjoy was the lemony pesto accompaniment. Now if they can get those rice balls piping hot and perhaps a bit larger (for the price), they'd have a winning appetizer. Our entrees included the Branzino, Cod, short rib tagliatelle, ravioli, and lasagna. Everyone seemed to enjoy their entrees; my cod was delicious; I enjoyed the corn ragu; the mashed potato base was a bit runny, but fine; my friend wasn't impressed with the lasagne, made from very thin pasta sheets rolled into spirals and baked off in a cast iron dish--she said there was not enough actual pasta and too much ricotta; I tasted it and I enjoyed the flavor, but I got too much sauce, not enough ricotta; I tasted the short rib tagliatelle, which friends enjoyed; felt the short rib was dry; Our entrees were delivered by kitchen staff-no one knew who got what, and hadn't seen our server in awhile; there was no offer of fresh pepper grinding or cheese grating, and no one came to ask about refilling cocktails or water bottles. It is unacceptable not to check back after dishes are dropped. Another round of cocktails ordered: The Drunk Cannoli arrived without the scoops of mascarpone gelato, requests for "dirty rocks" were forgotten. Jesus ran to the bar to get the gelato, but no one had any spoons to plop the scoops into glasses. Two cappuccino were ordered. One had 4 inches of foam atop, the other had ¼ inch. The proclaimed expert on cappuccino said it tasted of instant coffee. Either they don't have a real espresso machine, or there is user error in making the drinks. I blame management for lack of training. Our tabs started to be settled up without ever being asked if we wanted dessert. The table ordered the tiramisu, which was a layer cake served with coffee gelato. It was tasty but certainly not traditional for die-hards. The order of zeppole (fried dough balls) came with chocolate dipping sauce and an orange cream "dip" and were well received. Jesus noted that they added an extra zeppola so that all the dessert eaters could have one. This was a nice touch. I would like to see Sogno do a few things: 1.Have your servers watch The Bear, S2E7 "Forks", when Carmy sends Ritchie to train at a premier restaurant, then offer your staff training that aligns with Sogno's mission and price points. #IYKYK 2. Customers who don't like their money can continue to patronize Sogno, but I sadly predict it will not last if it doesn't tweak the corner-cutting 3. Pay attention without hovering and anticipate needs; wouldn't hurt to see the manager walking around talking to patrons 4. Serve drinks from a tray! Nothing more basic than a server walking a martini across the floor by hand, sloshing it around; this isn't Applebees. I tried to be honest but fair; spend your money as you wish, but if Sogno aspires to the luxury market, there's work to be done. read more

The food & service were very good. However, we reserved a private room to celebrate oldest sister's birthday. Upon arrival told double booked so put at corner table in loud part of restaurant. Near impossible to converse. Seems we got bumped for a local celebrity which I guess happens. First round of drinks and 4 desserts brought to our table for free. Birthday girl given a $100 gift card from the management. A decent attempt to make up for not getting the private room reserved. Birthday girl took all in stride I'm sure as not to make her sister's feel bad. However, we her 7 sisters were incredibly disappointed as significantly negatively impacted this milestone celebration. Management should have either told celebrity room already reserved for major celebration which I realize not a good marketing strategy. The correct thing should have been to call us in advance to reschedule or honestly pick up entire bill which is minor investment for prioritizing us over celebrity. Celebrated thanksgiving here. I love that they have their regular menu plus Thanksgiving. We started with the arrancini and Caesar salads. Those were delicious. For dinner, I had grilled fish with risotto. It was delicious. Light and flavorful. My friend had they thanksgiving plate. He liked it. The only not up to par part was their tiramisu. We have been patrons of Sogno since it opened, and tried to dine there as often as possible. Up until recently we have been totally pleased with the food and the service. Recently however the service has taken a turn for the worse. On two occasions we requested a particular server and when we arrived we were given a totally different server even though the requested server was present. The server we were assigned on both of these occasion was not very good at all. I asked the front why we didn't get the requested server and was told the server we had worked with the server we wanted. Sorry, not good enough. Needless to say, we will not be dining at Sogno again. We pay good money for the dining experience and expect a total dining experience including good service. read more

Don't eat here. Have been there twice. The first time, the food was OK but the service was awful. Rude server. The second time, someone in my party was wearing a hat. When we were being seated, the hostess asked him to remove it. He politely asked if he could keep it on bc his hair wasn't done. She said no. He took it off. In the meantime, people are being seated who have on sweatpants and sweatshirts. Our guest put his hat on because he felt self conscious. The rude hostess came back and told him he must take it off. First of all when you walk into this large restaurant , you are greeted by the host. We had reservations for four(4)! We were seated immediately! Place was not busy at the time we arrived! The restaurant was quite stunning since it was a big place! Waitress came over in we placed our drinks and salad. Caesar's salad very tasty not too much dressing enough to keep your palate refreshed! We order our entrees, grilled swordfish, tagliatelle alla genovese and Rigatoni alla Bolognese. The grilled swordfish was PERFECTLY grilled, and the Pasta dishes were all excellent! Desert was Creme brulee and chocolate mousse cake all were delicious ! They don't rush you out after eating. Also there was live music which you hardly see at a fine dining Italian cuisine. 20 October 2025 Matthew, Before I share my experience at your restaurant publicly, I wanted to share it with you first. Sadly, while we were at the restaurant, no one there seemed too interested in how completely unhappy we were. Your greed was on full display Saturday night. We arrived for our 7:00 PM reservation to celebrate my birthday. We were seated in the dining room at the end of a long row of a party of 18 or 20. Please explain to me why you seat a party of 20 in the open dining room? A party of 20 is a PRIVATE party. This was like a night out at Chuck E Cheese. As there were so many of them, they had to continuously yell down the table at each other, frequently tossing things back and forth to one another. That was fun. Despite your dress code of "no hats and business casual", this group were all in ripped jeans, hats, crop tops and slippers. Several of the women's slippers were removed and under the table all night, leaving them all barefoot. So classy. The young lady who was at the end of the table, and right next to us, flossed her teeth all night long. She also liked to wear the tray for pizza on top of her head at various times throughout the evening. When she got tired, she would lay down on the banquette (with her head about 5 inches away from my husband's lap) and play on her phone. When her bottle of soda was empty, she repeatedly spun it around on the table, knocking over most other things on the table, and spilling many glasses of water. Such a good time. That was the 'quiet' part of our dinner. Then came the Happy Birthday singing. 20 drunk people singing Happy Birthday and banging on the table repeatedly was exactly what NO ONE ELSE in the restaurant was looking for for their Saturday night out. But, that's what we got. You couldn't turn down the bill for a party of 20, and you didn't take one second to consider all of your other guests in the dining room that night. We watched as all the other tables around the group sat in disgust. One young couple gave up on ordering their after dinner drink and left unhappily. The party of 8 family members who were seated right across from this group, continuously turned around shaking their head at the fiasco going on right next to them. No doubt, like us, they too were looking for a quiet night out. Here are some of the times we had been at your restaurant previously: *We came one night for a lovely dinner and went home and got engaged. *My son brought us here to announce his engagement to his wonderful girlfriend. *We came here as a family to celebrate my daughter receiving her PhD. *I took my Mom here for a lovely pre-Christmas lunch, which would turn out to be her last holiday with us. So many wonderful events were celebrated at your restaurant, but that is all gone now. We will never be back. You made it abundantly clear that money and greed are your only priorities, and that goes against everything we believe in. Aside from our terrible experience with your clientele, the service was even worse. We waited for more than 15 minutes for our waitress to arrive. When she did, she expected our dinner order, although we hadn't even ordered our drinks. When she brought the drinks, we had plenty of time to finish them before she came back to take our order. Our salads arrived and within 5 minutes, our soups arrived. We said that we had only just gotten our salad and the waitress said "Well, I'll just leave these here on the corner of the table until you're ready for them." Needless to say, they were very cold by the time we got to eat them. Our dinner came MUCH later, after it had clearly been sitting under the heat lamps for some time. When anyone approached us to ask what was wrong, no one even pretended to listen. They simply kept offering me another glass of wine. One woman approached to ask how things were and when we started telling her she cut us off and said "I only came by to see how you were doing. I'm not going to stand here and listen to you complain to me." ?????? So, why exactly did she come over? The young man that came over a few times simply kept saying "we have no control over who is seated in the dining room". OF COURSE YOU DO!!!!!!!!!!! Enforce your dress code. Don't seat huge parties in the dining room at the expense of all your other guests. When guests are being disruptive, challenge them. It seems pretty simple to me. The only thing that was on display Saturday night was your complete disregard for all of your guests. We are so incredibly disappointed in you and your staff. read more

Always appreciate that. We got the MARGHERITA pizza and FRITTO MISTO (Fried Calamari, Shrimp, Crispy Vegetables, Calabrian Chili Aioli) for appetizer. Both were not impressive to me. The pizza was very basic and not very special, and this is coming from someone who has had a lot of pizza. The fritto misto was very underwhelming. Not a lot of seafood in it and mainly just the fried "vegetables" (see picture). I don't recommend either. For pasta, we got MEZZI RIGATONI ALLA BOLOGNESE (Pork & Veal, Tomato, Parmesan, Garlic & Herbs), TAGLIATELLE (Braised Rabbit, Figs, Toasted Hazelnuts & Spring Carrots), and SPAGHETTI ARRABBIATTA (Spaghetti, Shrimp, Clams, San Marzano, Garlic, Olives, Chili & Capers). The MEZZI RIGATONI ALLA BOLOGNESE was decent. In my opinion, the Tagliatelle wasn't good because the rabbit was bland and dry. The SPAGHETTI ARRABBIATTA was alright. I can definitely taste the overpowering sourness in the capers and olives but in my opinion, nothing special where I can recommend it. We liked the ARROSTO DI PESCE (Roasted Cod, Shrimp & Lemon Risotto, Peas, Asparagus & Shellfish Broth). It is very pricey for what you get but it is the best tasting dish we got. $43 for a small piece of fish on a shallow puddle of risotto broth. Go figure. Overall, this is a very pricey and pretentious place. In my opinion, this is a spot where you pay for the experience of sitting inside a fancy nice looking place. The service is excellent and the foods are plated very well for looks but if you are in it for food quality (in terms of unique taste) and quantity for the price, you may be disappointed. Sogno is a vibe! Took my mom for dinner here. We had a warm welcome from the hostess. Food was on point - we shared the mussels, Caesar salad and gnocchi - all fantastic. Our server was very attentive and made the dining experience more enjoyable. I'd definitely go back again! read more
