    Linguine Al Limone

Vibes: Vibey. Atmosphere: Sleek, sophisticated, dope. They don't serve Red Bull. Cuisine: Italian fare. It was yummers, Eugene! My Linguine Al Limone was savory; the crab meat was very fresh and clearly well-sourced. The linguine tasted dar-gone homemade, Ethel! It was divine -- almost as decadent as Almafi fare. And I've been there & chowed dat fare. THIS fare was a hair (talkin' a hair, y'all) overly limone-y -- but perhaps im acting like Tom Colicchio on Top Chef?! Idk?! I just wanna let 'em know, ya know? Keep it 100, ya know? Bruschetta -- exquisite. We ordered one lemon. And one prosciutto. Crunchy. Fresh. Divine bites. Also, the calamari was crispy & came to the table in a cute basket. The calamari is Rhode Island style. Lots of waiting, though. Yawwwwnnn... Courses took their daaaaaaaaaaaang time to grace the table. We skipped dessert because it took 30 minutes for the dessert menu to reach our table after we requested it. Foey. Anyhoo -- tell Arthur that I recommend the joint. You'll feel sophisticated here. Again, no Red Bull served here.

It is rare that a restaurant exceeds my expectations, but Sogno certainly did this afternoon! Having never been, their Dine Out Week Lunch menu lured me in. Everything was spectacular -- the atmosphere, food, presentation, and service. Four of us enjoyed every aspect and will definitely be back.

We have continued to visit Sogno several times for special occassions. On the pricey side but delicious food and attentive service. On our most recent visit we ordered the Fritti misto, eggplant app, clam linguine, crab pasta and steak and everything was delicious. Restaurant is on the upscale side. Plenty of seating but would recommend reservations as it is a popular spot.

First time at Sogno, as friends asked us to join them. Beautiful dining room, large and can accomodate large parties. Volume is a little on the louder side, but not really a concern. We had a very pleasant server and found delivery from the kitchen and timing of the courses to be right on target. Menu leans classic Italian, but has some twists which made it interesting. For example, there was a pasta bolognese, but our waitress told us there was also a version that was baked and topped with Ricotta cheese. I took her suggestion and glad I did, quite delicious. Cocktails were also good, as were the wide selection of appetizers. If I have to find any fault, perhaps some of the appetizers arrived at the table less than piping hot. Plenty of parking, good food and service, give them a try when in the area.

Great time last night at this chic and comfortable venue that always makes the little things matter. Service was amazing. Petro was fabulous along with Elizabeth. The appetizers were great. Unusual Wagyu Carpaccio was fantastic!! Entrees tasted as good as they looked. Nice portions and just the right seasoning!! Make this a must try and make reservations!! Bon appetite!! Ciao

Celebrated my birthday here last year with a friend. It was definitely crowded but a beautiful restaurant. The waitress was very nice and attentive. It was our first time at Sogno and we asked the waitress what she recommended. The food came out good. I really liked their margarita pizza the most. I just didn't like the fact that it was too crowded, you'd have to scream over each other and the restaurant was a little too dim.

Came here for a birthday party with a large group. Service was absolutely stellar. We had multiple staff members check in and make sure we had what we needed and our waiter was awesome. The restaurant itself has a great vibe. It's a nicer place, has a cool glassed in wine room you can check out and everything was spotlessly clean. Our food came out quickly and everything was delicious. They have a great menu but they also had a special Boston restaurant week menu that had some of their top dishes. I dug in so fast I was halfway through before I snapped this photo

A group of us came to Sogno for a birthday celebration. Service was great, and we were checked on often. I got the Sogno Cesare with chicken on the side, il fico, and Espresso Martini. Our table shared the Wagyu carpaccio, and Polpo alla griglia. My favorites were the Polpo alla griglia, and il fico. The il fico is very light and refreshing, slightly sweet and you can really taste the fig. Everyone enjoyed their food and had a great time. They do give a basket of bread and only olive oil. Sogno is on the pricier side, and I personally would only come here for special occasions, or a fancy date night. The restaurant is modern and feels intimate. They have indoor and some covered outdoor seating. They also have live music on some nights. For our celebration, they put us in a enclosed glass room, which was nice as it drowns out the noise, however you're surrounded by the rest of the tables on three sides so it feels like people are just looking in.

I went here with my husband and a friend tonight for our first try. We had always wanted to give this place a try after driving past it several times going to another event. Our server Paul was friendly and helpful in helping us choose our meals and he gave us good recommendations from things he had tried here. The food came to our table well presented and ready to eat and it was delicious!! We were seated at the back of the restaurant near the kitchen area so we could view the meals as they left the kitchen area. There were a lot of people around us so it made having a nice conversation tricky because of the noise level. The staff was friendly and we saw (who we believed to be an owner) greeting people at the entrance door and either welcoming them or wishing them a good night. The pricing for the meal was reasonable and we will return to try something else.

Always a delicious salad. They served the grilled chicken breast on the side.

This place has class! The hostess is lovely. The place is beautiful. Love the covered outdoor patio and $1 oyster Mondays. The bolognese sauce--yum!

My wife and I made a reservation for a Saturday night and upon arrival were seated immediately. To…read morestart, we ordered a perfectly cooked octopus antipasti, followed by tortellini alla norcina, and for a secondi the vitello alla petroniana (we were debating between this pasta/secondi combination and the pasta bolognese/swordfish special - will have to come back to get these next time!). I don't typically eat veal, and this cutlet was perfectly balanced - rich, savory, crispy, with a pleasant (but not overwhelming) salty kick from the prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano. We also ordered the spicy broccolini, which I highly recommend for the garlic lovers out there. For dessert we had the dark cherry (amarena?) gelato, which was delicious and creamy, with the perfect amount of sweetness. We shared each dish, and it was certainly plenty of food for the two of us. Prices felt reasonable for the amount and quality of what we ordered (all of the above + 2 drinks from the bar totaled approx. $160 pre-tip). The restaurant space itself is relatively small but has enough space to move around comfortably, which made it cozy without ever getting too loud (it was a pretty full house when we went), with a balanced dim lighting. Additionally, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the server patiently walked us through the menu and shared suggestions at our request. On a personal note I am especially appreciative of the staff, as I accidentally left without my hat, and the restaurant responded almost immediately to the message I sent through the restaurant website that same evening. Tl;dr - great menu, rich & hearty but balanced ingredients/recipes, and comfortable vibe. One really gets the impression that the husband/wife owners had a specific vision that they successfully brought into reality.

The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, so it's a great place for date night. The Fantastic: 1. Service -- our waiter was amazing, he took great care of us. We wanted for nothing! 2. Tortellini Alla Norcina -- this was delish. It was creamy, a little funky, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. 3. Cacio e Pepe -- also delish. 4. Mussels -- perfectly cooked, big and plump, and the bread to sop up the broth was also yummy. The plates are beautiful, but I think that plating and presentation takes priority over the food sometimes: 1. Bruschetta -- this was supposed to come with a balsamic drizzle, but it was served on a wooden plate and the drizzle was tiny and thin, so there wasn't really any balsamic. The dish could have used it to help cut through the cheese. 2. Bombolone -- dry, there was not a lot of custard in the pastry, and the surrounding sauces were more decorative than helpful. We did not enjoy the mixed drinks, they were all on the sour side and watery. So I would stick with wine or beer, the wine we had was excellent. Overall, we had a really nice time and would return.

The service was top notch and the food was cooked nicely. Our table had the chicken parm, chicken broccoli alfredo and scallops and everyone mostly enjoyed their meals. The reason for 4 stars is the scallops were supposed to be served over mush vellutata drizzled with basil oil and they were served on plain mashed potatoes. They did not tell us about this substitution and we ordered 2 of them. This was disappointing as it was a factor for why I chose to order the dish and I did not finish my meal. Additionally they have a profiterole on their dessert menu I was excited to try and that is no longer available. I'd encourage the restaurant to be more proactive about letting diners know of substitutions during the ordering process and to update their online menu.

We have two little picky eaters and needed convenience, access to parking, and spacious and friendly for toddlers. We thoroughly enjoy Ciao Amici and have been going pretty regularly for the last 2 years. Our usual are the meatballs and carbonara for the kids. For awhile, it was the only way I could get my youngest to eat any protein. It is tender and has the right amount of spices for my youngest to gobble up. The two of them always share the carbonara and slurp it right up. Lastly, my oldest has recently become obsessed with their sauteed mussels and I literally have to negotiate with her to let me eat one. I love the saffron garlic white wine sauce, it is very garlicy and goes so well with the warm bread that they give you. My husband and I have tried a lot of their pasta and seafood with risotto dishes. Recently he has also ventured into their main dishes and still enjoyed it. Overall, great flavors, pasta is al dente, and the perfect portion where you don't feel overly stuffed by the end of the meal. We've tried a few of the places in the North End, and I would say Ciao Amici definitely is on par if not better than some of the places in the North End, plus they have a small parking lot that we've always had access to. My personal favorites are the Spaghetti Shrimp Scampi and Haddock e Risotto. The servers are always attentive and considerate. The -1 star comes from the pace of service. We usually go on the early side and don't have trouble but the few times we've gone when it was a bit busier, we noticed that the food can take awhile to come out and although I am confident everyone is working hard, they may not always be staffed appropriately when t's busy. Lastly, we did order a salad once and it was definitely no frills, but that was exactly how it was stated on the menu. I would not go there for the salad.
