For the past 6 years I have lived in Michigan, New Jersey, and Maryland. I can honestly say that despite trying numerous nail salons, no where beats SOHO. To me a manicure is a manicure and I am often satisfied going anywhere for a mani. But for a pedicure, nothing compares to the girls at Soho. You can expect at least a 10 minute deep tissue massage on each leg with just a regular pedicure, and 20 minutes on each leg for a Spa (The extra 15 for the Spa pedi is totally worth it!). Not only are the pedicures great but the group of girls they have working are always so sweet and attentive. If youre in there on a not so busy day, you can often expect a great neck massage as your nails dry. I have gone to many highly-rated Spa's and I can honestly still say that I have never received a better leg massage then at Soho. I have been going to Soho since they first opened when I was 11 and 12 years later I still will not go anywhere else. read more

I went in for a gel manicure on a Saturday. The place is clean and nice looking. All of the nail techs didn't really speak English. They seemed nice but who knows because there was no communication. I've been coming here for over 10 years and the experience is generally good. Yesterday I received a messy pedicure and manicure and no one seemed to understand how to handle it. It was really uncomfortable. I pointed it out while they were painting the first coat but I was told to wait for the second coat. I knew this wasn't going to make a difference because the shape of my nails weren't filed properly (you could see the angles of where the clipper cut) and there was paint on my cuticles. I happened to choose a milky light blue color which has to be applied neatly and both my manicurist and pedicurist weren't very good at this. Honestly, I could have probably done a better job myself. My daughters gels were very neat but her toenails were also very messy. It was a bad experience and now we have to find another place. read more

I drive 25 minutes from another town to get a pedicure here. They give an excellent service, are nice, and most importantly, the shop is very clean. I work in the beauty industry, and know what to expect. I've had my fair share of inexpensive pedicures, and this is the only one that leaves me with smoother feet than when I walked in. My polish lasts for 2 weeks without chipping. They also take the time out to give an excellent calf and foot massage. read more

They did not do all of the normal manicure things like clean under the nails, cut back the cuticle or give a good massage to your hands and for the price they should've done all of that and more... Charged $20 to remove lcn gel with a drill and left enough behind enough where I could see it through my manicure. So after drying, I informed them I could still see it cause she didn't remove it well and they told a pedicure lady to put another coat on...Which was all over my cuticles. I also told the lady $20 for removal is crazy because every where else it's five dollars and it took her two minutes! By the way, went to get another manicure today at a different place because it was done so poorly and the woman pointed out I still had lcn on my nail. So to removed lcn and a regular polish manicure was $32 and I could still see dark spots from the previous gel color. I have my cosmetology license and to charge and extra $5 for vinyl luxe nail polish is ridiculous- ladies, that nail polish costs $5 for a bottle at salon centric! read more

Good spa pedicures but the good customer treatment only goes to weekly customers. I only treat myself monthly so I get to wait if I want a manicure afterwards. My solution? Go for the spa pedicure and forget any extras! read more

This place is unbeatable. I have been going here biweekly to get my nails done. Bona, my nail technician is a very sweet woman who does a wonderful job everytime. The service is great here in general. They give massages while waiting for my nails to dry, I can text Bona if i have questions anytime, and they seem to really care about their clients. by far the worst gel manicure I have ever gotten- the technician did not speak english, filed and cut my nails too short after I asked her twice not to, would not have cleaned under my nails had I not asked her to after she had finished painting the first coat on the other hand, and the actual gel is of HORRIBLE quality. in general the expectation of a gel manicure, and why it is worth more than double the price of a regular manicure, is that it will last without chipping for at least a week or two. Soho Nails even had signs guaranteeing no chipping for at least one week. 10 hours later half of one nail had chipped, and now two days later two fingers are completely bare of polish, having chipped and peeled off on their own. I normally do not take the time to write reviews on Yelp but I was truly robbed of my money and felt that my horrible experience warranted this. I have lived in NJ/Essex County my whole life and know there is no shortage of quality nail places in the area, so this flagrant deviation in standards is all the more pronounced, and frankly inexcusable (not sure how they retain business with another three+ nail salons and spas within a two block radius). Needless to say I will most definitely NOT be returning. In case I have not made it clear, I would not even rate Soho with 1 star, were it not required at a minimum. read more
