Overall, would go back potentially to try more but nothing stood out from what we ordered so far. We went just at opening (12:00 pm) and their square wasn't working, so we had to pay in cash. Not a problem but the person explaining it just seemed a little disoriented. The person in the back didn't get the order. Even though the person handing us the drink told us we could ask for adjustments, it seemed they were struggling a bit, so we didn't feel like asking for them. The ambiance was modern, but it was lacking some natural light that made it a bit gloomy. Biggest complaint is inconsistency in sweetness. Even though it says the normal is not that sweet, the normal matcha latte we got tasted overly sweet and the almond milk tea latte we got was what we considered sweet (next time we would get no sweet for the matcha and less sweet for the almond milk tea latte). Additionally, the matcha was not super strong (or. maybe it was overwhelmed by the sweetness), though it was good quality. I've been here twice now. Both times, I got one of the yogurt drinks. I'm so surprised to see any reviews less than 5 stars because these guys knock it out of the park with the yogurt drinks. If you know what yakuit is, it's a similar base but way better. Or if you know Pinkberry or Yogurtland, imagine the original yogurt flavor but in liquid form. Trust me, it's good. The strawberry yogurt drink with lychee jelly is a must. And I just had the orange creamsicle with brown sugar boba tonight. Both amazing yogurt drinks. My friend and I were astounded. The quality is there, and you can tell these guys care about their work. (My friend knows the owners by name! I kind of do now too?) I will say this is more of a hangout spot. I feel so bad for loitering so long last night, but I didn't want to leave! The design of the building is clean, ambiance is soothing and settled, almost hushed in the most cozy way. We placed our orders with Sam, who was so insightful and guiding in our selections and seemed really passionate about Sojetea's philosophy for an organic, whole experience. As for the drinks themselves, we ordered the oolong milk tea and the matcha. I got the oolong! The tea tastes soooo refreshing and clean; the oolong had its herbal and earthy notes without the bitterness that can come from oversteeped or burnt leaves. I asked for the usual house way for sweetness, and it was balanced with no sugar overpowering the flavor of the tea. The boba seemed house-made, as the texture was fresh and the balls were uniform in size but unique individual shape. It was easily one of the best oolong drinks I've had. We ordered the ice cream and oh my goodness it was good! Don't miss out on any flavors they have available, because they sell out FAST. All their ice creams are made in-house and with the painstaking process of producing such quality flavors, I'm not surprised they sell out so quickly. We got what was left, the jasmine and oolong tea ice creams. Not too sweet and such a delicate creaminess! The aroma of the tea leaves were also so prevalent with each bite. I totally recommend if you love fruit tea. The perfect amount of sweet and fruity. As for the ice cream; it is made of only three ingredients and is great for gut health. The chocolate fudge was so good! It was light and not too sweet, but the best part was after finishing the entire bowl, I did not feel heavy or grossly full. The men behind the business are absolutely amazing, welcoming and so knowledgeable about their products. You can really tell how much passion the men have for this business. The shop itself was beautifully decorated in a simple and modern way. It will be such a wonderful place to sit down to study, knit, draw, etc. when they finally open up for their full opening. My friend and I came here last Friday night at around 10 PM or so. We were greeted by the owners who not only educated us very well about their menu, but also simply provided us with the most excellent customer service I could ask for. We didn't realize that they were nearly closing but they didn't mind at all, still provided us with class service and made us feel very welcomed. We both got fruit teas (dragon fruit and strawberry) and they were both fantastic. Very refreshing and extremely delicious - they also were kind enough to let us sample some other flavors and even their ice cream which was also great. The overall setup of the place was also great, certainly a spot I'd love to come back to and do some work at. They put as much effort in keeping the place clean and organized as they do with their drinks and customer service. As someone who has worked many years in customer service and food/beverage, I always respect small businesses that place said service at a forefront. I came into Sojeata by chance, just wanting to go outside and take a walk after finishing the finale of Attack on Titan. I was bawling my eyes out for about 15 minutes and was destroyed inside. When I walked in, the customer service was insane and the place was just SO beautiful, and I needed a good refreshing drink and ice cream to replenish my hydration because I had cried so much watching the finale of aot.
