As a neighborhood pup, I've visited Sojourn Social several times, and it's become one of my favorite spots to tag along with my humans. The first thing I love is that dogs are welcome both inside and outside. The front patio is spacious and great for people watching, while inside there's a lively bar with several TVs, making it a fun place to catch a game or meet up with friends. While they don't have a full dog menu, they do offer an adorable "Barkcuterie," which came with sliced meat, carrots, and rice when I tried it. These days I usually stick with my favorite--a side of grilled chicken--and the staff is always happy to accommodate. The human food is excellent too. Mom almost always orders the seasonal tostadas, which change throughout the year and have never disappointed. Dad usually goes for the burger, which has become his regular order. If you're visiting during happy hour, definitely take advantage--it's one of the better deals in the neighborhood. What really keeps us coming back is the staff. Everyone is warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see four-legged guests. If you're looking for a dog-friendly neighborhood restaurant with great food, a fun atmosphere, and one of the few places that welcomes pups indoors, Sojourn Social is well worth a visit. Just don't be surprised if your dog starts expecting grilled chicken every time you walk by. i had the worst time here it actually felt like a skit from Impractical Jokers. i went with 2 other friends and we got ignored and they wouldnt seat us or respond when we were asking to sit (only 1 couple was present and seated at the bar) then wouldnt bring water, then wouldnt bring plates or utensils. we kept asking to order but no one would come back for it. we were still just chatting and were like eh maybe we would bounce in a bit. eventually the BARTENDER came over to take our drink order, we asked to order food as well. he got mad at US for asking to eat, then he got mad that i said i had a nut allergy (he slammed the device on table and walked away when i said it, then came back and berated me for not saying it before we started to order.) ive never been shamed for a nut allergy but for a moment i actually got embarrassed. the only person who seemed to care was the busboy who ended up doing everyone elses job because the 2 girls at the front were on their phone talking about some guy who cheated on someone & bartender was so friendly to others but treated us like crap. he made a snide comment about my female friends shirt and thats when i was like wow this is a joke. I've never had a bad experience here except for today. I was craving the squid ink pasta so I stopped by. They were very busy but I was waiting for over 7 minutes standing at the host stand with no acknowledgement whatsoever. So I went to the bar to talk to anyone and asked if someone could seat me/check me in because I was waiting for over 7 minutes. The bartender said I would have to wait, while a server said to me "as you can see we're very busy so you're gonna have to wait" with an attitude. I was turned off by her tone of voice and the fact that no one came up to me even to say "hey we'll get to you soon". We came here for dinner on a Thursday night. The place was packed. The first thing I noticed was the beautiful holiday themed decor, everything looked cozy and festive. The menu has a good selection of dishes that include a variety of pastas, meats, burgers and appetizers. We started out with the seared octopus and mezze dip trio. The herb vinaigrette served with the octopus was delicious. I ended up soaking the pita in the vinaigrette since we did not want it to go to waste. The octopus was good but underseasoned. The under seasoning was a recurring issue. I ordered the grilled skirt steak with the scallion fried rice. The meat was cooked perfectly medium rare. The presentation was very good but it was also very under seasoned. It was as though they just added the bare minimum of seasoning to the food as it was prepared. I never like to do this but we actually asked for salt and after adding, it greatly enhanced the flavor of the meat. We ended our dinner with a delicious cheesecake. The service was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely return and try out more from the menu. read more

Super cute outside, so many options for drinks! DC spritz is the best I tried, also tried life of a spritzgirl. I didn't love either but DC was wayyy better. The servers and host were all RIDICULOUSLY kind and patient, despite there being so many tables to cater to! Also had the 22$ burger and drink combo, was yummy but very small for what it was. The fries were so good and during happy hour they are 7$ and come with ketchup and an aioli type of sauce! We came here twice and both times it was a good time. The first time we came was just a girls brunch, we made reservations online and got the unlimited mimosas and we were there for hours. After our 90min mimosa time ended we just ordered some wine and kept going. The place wasn't too busy as it was a Sunday morning so they allowed us to stay extra time as long as we kept ordering. Our server was super awesome and we just stayed the whole time. We ate a bunch of appetizers and I had the eggs Benedict with potato's and the food was exceptional. The second time we came it was a large party so we got the big room in the back. They were very accommodating to our party and it just felt nice to have a private room to ourselves. Found Sojourn when we were at the Met looking for a Happy hour. Absolutely did not expect what we got. It's a very chill, nicely decorated and awesome vibe of a venue. Out server, Margaret, had been working 3 weeks and was just phenomenal. Cannot praise her or the service highly enough. She was incredibly accommodating to all our questions and her amazing attitude and kindness is just increasingly rare to see. Their happy hour is excellent, with 2 for 1 cocktails that are actually well designed and delicious, not just a whiskey coke or something. Pretty much everything we ate as delicious. Really really good happy hour food menu, had the duck croquettes ( which were good but not awesome). But the fries, chicken meatball, sliders, all awesome.
