I have nothing but great things to say about this place. My daughter was here from college and my sister wanted to take her to eat Korean food and sing some karaoke. We decided to go to this place because they had a pretty stunner menu and my daughter and my sister like to drink soju. I called well in advance because I did have my baby and at that time she was 10 months old so I asked how was the volume level and they said it should be OK because we're going there pretty early but if it gets louder, they will turn the music down for us And I thought that was pretty cool of them Little that I know that when we got there they gave us a private room for free and we ordered a bunch of food and the songs were two dollars apiece, which was fine with me because we could control the volume and we could enjoy a small room as we had 6 of us there. We ordered a bunch of food and everything was delicious and we ordered a few different sojus and that was also delicious. I also got a few Korean beers which was super cold and I enjoyed that. All in all, it ended up being a great time and the staff was very accommodating and super kind and help us out a lot with the karaoke machine and with the choosing of songs.

My friends and i went last week for my friend's birthday! We had such a great time and the server James was very friendly! Prior to coming, we made reservations for a room and it was nice that they called to confirm the same day of the party! Our server James was nice and checked on us often. Food was good per usual! I had barely ate that night, but the food never disappoints regardless! I tried that whole chicken and let me tell you.... The perfect typa fried chicken you want, juicy interior and exterior was crisp to perfection! Definitely some superior chicken! The mandoo with the dipping sauce was yummy too! I definitely recommend it fried. You can't go to Soju bang without their soju as well! Lilikoi, Strawberry Yogurt (TOP FAVS), Melona, and Lychee are probably the best ones! Again, none of them disappoint, it's more of what you prefer. Like, my friend liked the Li Hing Lemon one, but for me it was too tart. Lastly, the only reason I would give this place a 4 as opposed to a 5, the room gets warm. As I have seen in a previous review, the room we were given had that same broken fan. We did make it work without making a sound, but the room was still a little warm. This room was the big room, i believe "room 4." Overall though, I would definitely come back for food! And the rooms are $2/song which is nice because they don't charge for the room.

Highly recommend Soju Bang. Excellent, friendly, and attentive staff (a big shout out to James and all other staff!). We've been here three times in the last few months, and no disappointment at all. Service has always been consistent. Their happy hour menu portion size is big and decently priced. For example, a whole chicken costs $14.00. The chicken was crunchy and marinated well. All the food we tried there was so delicious! We sincerely hope they won't change their kitchen vendor or staff. There's a private parking in the back. It's free before 7pm. After that, you have to pay via an app. They have three private rooms. If you want to book any of them, you'd have to rsvp in advance. The restroom and the restaurant are clean and organized. $2.00 per song.

I've been coming here since the beginning, and it pains me to say that I'll probably never come back. Service has slowly declined over the years, but this last visit was a deal-breaker for me. On a Thursday night, it appeared there were only the bartender and 1 server working in the front. 20 minutes after being seated, nobody came to take our order. Since we thought they were short staffed, we walked up to the bar and placed an order of food and soju. We closed out at the bar to make it easier for them, and they said they'd bring it to our table. 15 minutes later, our soju still hadn't arrived. We went back to the bar to ask for it, and they told us they'd bring it when it was ready. We then realized there was another server working this whole time, but she was sitting at one of the tables with her friends playing with a dog. She went to the bar and brought out a tray of shots to take her friends, and then went back to "work." The other server brought out shots and soju to the table next to us and sat to flirt with those girls. He drank so much that he couldn't walk straight, stumbling over a stool and spilling half of the shots on the way. He had tally marks on his arm of how many shots he had taken that night - it was at least 12 tallies by the time we left. 10 more minutes later, our soju still hadn't arrived. I went back to the bar to ask for it. Again, they asked what table we were at and said someone would bring it out. I insisted they just give me the bottle because we had waited so long. It was just a plain bottle, so all they had to do was take it out of the refrigerator and hand it to me. She then proceeded to punch the item in because they had no record of our initial order, even though we had already paid! They realized that the kitchen didn't receive our food order, so we had to wait even longer. We were not the only ones getting really bad service. All the customers at tables waited so long to get drink refills and started going to the bar to order. Later on, another girl came out of the bathroom and went to the POS behind the bar. I guess she was working too, but hard to tell because she was also hanging out with her friends. She didn't seem drunk, but she was out of it and confused, like she was on drugs or something. The only competent and sober employee was the bartender, who ended up doing all the work. The male server ended up crouched down on the floor for a while because he was so drunk. Another employee had to give him water and make sure he was okay. It was very confusing because I couldn't tell who was working and who wasn't. Maybe I'm just getting old, but a lot of these people didn't look old enough to be drinking. Soju bang used to be very strict about checking everyone's ID upon entry, but nobody checked any IDs that night. Overall, I'm very disappointed about what this establishment has become. At least I found it mildly entertaining to people-watch these drunk kids, so I'm not that upset about it, but I definitely will not be returning. 2 stars because food still smashed.

As a frequent regular to Soju Bang i loveeee their yogurt soju and TERRA beer. The ambiance is a cool and chill vibe especially after a hard day of working. Service is super friendly and they already know our order each time which is mandoo, yogurt soju and Terra! :) Our last visit we had their new Dubai Chocolate soju it was quite yummy!!

Service was great and we had a great time in their karaoke room. The price per song actually makes it cheaper than the places that charge by the hour. We had a good amount of food that was also pretty good. Although nothing blew me away. Overall great experience and good drinks! Among the food, our favorite was the kimchi fried rice.

It's my friend's co-worker's birthday and time to party and cheers. Had a reservation and t'was all smooth. We were greeted & taken to our room after. This can be busy so I suggest you book a reservation if you are using the karaoke room. The staffs were young Koreans and they were so friendly and patience to us. They were also fun to talk too and were kind enough to show us how to operate the karaoke machine, lol... Food: Watermelon Soju Honey Spicy Wings Garlic Fried Wings Fries w/ Garlic Fried Squid Fried Chicken Gizzard Kimchi Fried Rice My favorite were the chicken wings and fried squid. It was tasty and fried good. The crunch in every bite is so addicting. It was a fun experience and this is also my first karaoke night in Oahu. Would love to do it again with my friends. And oh, bring cash! It's $2 per song. Mahalo for reading & happy juandering fellow Yeeps.

"I always listen to *NSYNC's 'Tearin' Up My Heart.' It reminds me to wear a bra." - Britney Spears I always wanted to Bang at Soju Bang and so glad I waited 'cause I finally Banged with two of the loveliest young ladies in my life. She Bang, She Bang! FIYAH! Queens, Kyra K. and Janice Q., joined me on a Sunday Karaoke night that we've planned since forever. I wanted to bring out my Boy Band days pipes and show how it's done to my Queens, but of course after Soju, Soju, Soju everything sounds & looks prime! :D Carpooled over we parked nearby (lots of options including free meter on Sundays) and walked the block over. I heard there's on-site parking on the side, but I also heard there's a small fee for it which to me makes no sense with all the free parking nearby. Queen Kyra made reservations for Happy Hour from 5pm to 8pm in a private room! She knows what's up! Upon entering we are quickly carded (since I still look 18 lol) and led to our private room! Hella K-Pop vibes as we walk in. Our room so clean and those Disco lights be like Travolta in polyester! Love glows here! We're handed the regular & HH menus, of course we order off the HH since so much choices! We start with the Lilikoi Soju in Korean plastic carafe lol and a bottle of Iced water. Seafood Pancakes was our first shared dish followed by Steamed Mandoo, Steamed Egg, Kimchee Fried Rice. Lots of savings and hella options! Our hostess and server were both polite and pros. Always checking on us, but never interfering with our private time. Just a red "help" button away if we needed anything in our room. Next we order Ube Soju which seemed stronger lol, but as we drank and drank more the melting ice balanced it off. However as a Soju drinker in the past I'd stick with the Fruit drinks! Wow how time flies when we're having FUN! Almost three hours of chatting, gossiping, nibbling, joking, sipping, and having a blast is when we realized we still didn't sing a song yet! But we still had about 40 minutes to Bang out some tunes! Our group was so diverse in music... the hardest part was where do we start lol, so we start strong with a classic of "Bohemian Rhapsody" by Queen choice by Queen Janice! That got us in the mood and the Soju helped too lol, so it was my turn and turned it up w "Bye Bye Bye" by *NSYNC! Boy Band days represented even tho I cracked at Justin's higher notes lol, but hey Soju cures all, right? "Thank you, Next" by Ariana Grande was the choice of Queen Kyra! Trust me, I've heard her before and she got game and wrist flicks... these were our highlights! So much food, so delicious Soju, the best company I can wish for, and before you know it our time of three hours was done! All the employees were on it! The bathroom was clean! And the vibes were so K-Pop I almost feel like I have to apologize for not going down with BTS and BLACKPINK In Your Area! *ohh snap* In the end, I recommend Soju Bang not only for their fun Karaoke set-ups, but also the authentic Korean foods and refreshing Soju - such a deal during Happy Hour! And biggest 고맙습니다 that's Hey Thankies to Queens, Kyra K. & Janice Q. for being my K-POP IDOLS!

Soju Bang. Restaurant, Bar & Karaoke. With that said, this is a review of the bar/restaurant. We came on a Friday night around 11 pm. Busy but no wait needed for a table. Came with a few boys to grab a few soju drinks. We order their ube and melona cocktail soju which is $21 each. While waiting for our drinks, we decided to get some of their chicken wings too. PS: if you're ordering wing's you 100% need to get cheese with them. You'll thank me later. Soju was top tier. My favorite was the melona flavored one. May be bias as my favorite ice cream bar is the melona honey dew bar. But with that aside, it really is good. You can barely taste the alcohol but you for sure can feel it later. Ube was pretty good as well. With 5 guys the bottles went empty pretty fast. The wings were sooooo good. With the cheese melted on top it was A1! Wished the wings were a bit bigger in size but portion wise, it was okay for the price. Service was fast and easy to order. Multiple staff walking around and checking up on their customers. Songs playing are good too and gets you in a party mode vibe, especially after a few shots of soju. Worth giving this place a go if you're out with friends, craving soju or wanting to eat some Korean food.

What a great place to kick back, hang out with friends to share a lot of laughter & fun while belting our little hearts away! Thank you Kyra K. for recommending Soju Bang to fulfill our karaoke needs. Soju Bang is a karaoke bar with bar seating, a few tables, and private rooms. Kyra K. being the proactive lady she is, reserved us a private room so our party (Eric R., Kyra K., and I) could sing with ease. Upon entrance, we were greeted by staff who immediately checked our IDs before escorting us to our private room. Size of the room was small, but perfect for our party of 3. Seating was spacious since we each had a section of the U shaped seating all to ourselves lol! Our orders for food and drinks were promptly taken, and delivery was just as quick. Before you know it, we were chowing down on Korean bar food (Steamed Mandoo, Steamed Egg, Seafood Pancake, & Kimchee Fried Rice) over some tasty Cocktail Sojus! THE FOOD: 1. Steamed Mandoo - This can also be ordered fried. This was good. Nothing gourmet, but perfect as bar food. 2. Steamed Egg - Light protein dish with a mild flavor. Almost like an egg soufflé, but neither sweet or savory. 3. Seafood Pancake - This was deep fried. Good to snack on. Reminded me of street vendor food. 4. Kimchee Fried Rice - This was my favorite from our orders. Savory with a hint of sweetness and a touch of spice. Keep in mind I love spicy food. So my mild could be spicy for the next person. THE DRINKS: 1. Cocktail Soju Lilikoi - Heavy syrup based flavor. I thought it tasted better after the ice melted a bit since it was very sweet. 2. Cocktail Soju Ube - This reminded me of the Filipino dessert halo halo. You know that sweet, light, milky ube flavor when you've reached the bottom on your halo halo cup? That's what this tasted like, but with suju thrown into the mix :) This karaoke bar works a little different from the ones that I know of. Instead of paying by the hour for the room, you pay per song selected ($2). You'll need to make sure you have cash on hand since the karaoke machine only accepts dollar bills. PARKING is located behind the building, but there is also street parking that's close by. And the cost of our night out was very reasonable since we made it out here during HAPPY HOUR (Daily 1700-2000). PRO TIP: In the private rooms, there's a red button on the wall that you can press if you need to flag down a server. OVERALL THOUGHTS The food is decent bar food. So don't come here expecting gourmet. Although I found our drinks to be on the sweet side, there are many other available drinks/flavors on their menu I would consider trying next time instead. The private room was perfect for what we needed. The staff was attentive and checked on us multiple times. I had such an amazing time with Kyra K. and Eric R.! We shared food & drinks, life, love, laughter, and ofc songs! We left Soju Bang already discussing our plan for our next trip back :D

They certainly put "Happy" into happy hour! I certainly can't pass up an invite from Nadine C for karaoke night though after a stressful long week I came more to relax and to unwind along with great friends this was another chill night filled with food, fun, karaoke and soju with a side of Diet Coke. My first time here I loved the vibe here is nice with super spacious lounge area and a fun neon lit angel wings selfie, but we were here for karaoke and got a room which wasn't really huge but a great size for our party of five and with a portable a/c it did make it comfortable to unleash ourselves though the seating was so solid and coming straight from work I didn't want to take off my stinky shoes in this small room cause I do adore my friends lol! As my besties got her karaoke groove on at $2 a song it came in various languages I was more excited to see what they had to offer off their happy hour which isn't so bad as it's available "everyday" from 5pm to 8pm with bites for $8 we ordered Steamed Mandoo (which came with 12 pcs!), and for $12 Kimchee Pancake and Seafood Pancake...both I did stay away from not wanting to chance my shellfish allergies. Off the regular menu it was Corn Cheese $12, Spicy Chicken Gizzard $16, Fire Chicken w/Cheese $21, Spicy Shoyu Boneless Chicken $21 and Loaded Tater Tots $16. You can't go wrong with corn cheese that insane pull was yummy, Fire Chicken didn't do very much for me, Gizzard was yummy but the tater tots was seriously disappointing as it was just topped with velveeta and bacon bits. I probably needed to eat first as I just had a Diet Coke while they started with White Peach Soju...which started to sound good lol! As I scanned the menu again they were talking about Lilikoi...hmmm then Brown Sugar Milk Tea which is what we got. The after taste was something to behold but hey it's here so I just went for it and drank half of it and got my lobster mode on. They staff here is just super delightful and friendly if we needed anything all we had to do was press the call button. Soju Bang is right along Kalakaua Ave and you're able to park right behind the through a driveway to the right of the building which is free before 7pm after you need to pay through a QR code, I got lucky to find street parking and yes you enter at the door in the back. While my besties plugged into the karaoke mode, I unplugged for some unwinding time to fill my empty cup with fun energies with friends that just made my night! Thank you!

We started our vacation with dinner at the Hideout, and upon entering you could immediately hear live music. We received a warm welcome, and brought over to our booth where our server Kai was quick to greet us. We ordered cocktails (I don't remember the name of mine. It's something spritz, and my husband tried the banana bread old fashioned) and we shared the appetizer platter (brussel sprouts with pork belly, kalua pork egg rolls, poke tacos, and edamame)to share. We also ordered the garlic shrimp dumplings. Everything was super tasty. Lots of other items on the menu that I want to try during another visit to the island.

I initially tried the bakery directly across the street at the International Marketplace, but they didn't open until 7am. I began to walk towards a distant Starbucks I found on Google and noticed an active escalator and signage pointing towards the open Hideout at the Laylow. Advertising local coffee, I immediately took the ride upstairs and was greeted by two young ladies full of smiles and Aloha spirit! Being summertime and hot (even at 6am) I ordered a large iced latte and decided to drink it on their large open lanai. I'm glad I did. The breezes up there were perfect and watching the daylight get brighter with local birds chirping and fluttering about made for a very nice wake-up! This became my go-to stop every morning of my visit! I only ordered breakfast once and kept it low-carb so I had cheesy eggs and Portuguese sausage. Perfect and hit the spot. If staying at the Laylow (Marriott product) or close by, I'd recommend this as your morning wake-up as well! Enjoy!

Sadly I hoped I could give it a better review but since moving from the downtown venue to Waikiki I…read morejust couldn't. Located in a hotel called The Romer on Nāhua Street in Waikiki off of Kuhio (closer to Ala Wai Canal) it is a smallish unpretentious looking building on Diamond Head side of Nahua. They have valet stand in front and validate parking for up to 3 hours. The valet wasn't very friendly when we walked towards him and usually they hold the door open but this one did not. We realize he's probably not part of Lei Stand staff but it doesn't make a good first impression. Walk into the lobby and directly to your left is the Lei Stand. It is brightly neon but dark if that makes sense, and very small. If you're a fan of when it used to be on Bethel St downtown then you'll be disappointed with this venue. No view to be had, dark drapes cover the windows (we were there at 6:00 pm) and no cute little lanai or garden. Tiny tables either high tops or rounds - maybe 10 total and a small bar. There was one tiny corner booth. The lost star was for this set up but also another lost star for NO MUSIC. Music is such an important part of a place especially a bar so we were disappointed and appalled there was only silence. Bartender said the music was "broken" so we turned on our phones to get something on our table. Then two girls brought in something to light the place up with some tunes so that helped. The final lost star was it is called The Lei Stand yet there wasn't a lei stand inside the place. When we asked the bartender where it was he didn't even know what a lei was. Then we explained to him and he said it is in the hotel lobby but you have to go to front desk to let them know you wish to purchase one. Another disappointment. Thank goodness I bought her a lei from downtown in case they didn't have any. The good stars ... Star 1 goes to the drink menu and how delicious they tasted. "Rub up on my belly" was beautifully prepared and so delicious I had to have another one lol I mean how could I refuse a second guava jam infused Tito's vodka??? Bartender prepared with cute little garnish and an ice stick to keep it cold! He was very nice and took good care of us. My friend opted for the "Clifton's Curse" - yes there's a back story to this drink- and enjoyed the cognac, absinthe, bitters and sherry concoction! Ono! Star 2 goes to the food or "nibbles" as they call it. Taro chips and crack dip were yum and a nice handful of chips not too much and not too little. Hurricane fries - to die for! Plenty of furikake, parmigiano reggiano and spicy aioli. The girls who brought our food were very nice and made sure we had what we needed to enjoy, bringing us waters too. They also had a smash burger for $25 but we had dinner rez later so didn't want to indulge but it looked good. It might be cute if you wanted to do a private party here and I noticed a room across with a beautiful large table set up for a private dinner - not sure if part of hotel or bar.

My wife had the Royal Hawaiian Mai Tai, my kid had a Pina Colada and both were really aesthetically pleasing and tasty. The view was next level. We sat down on the edge right next to the beach in the evening and it was a great view. Just a really fun night and great service by the wait staff.

We decided to go to the bar for some bites and sips on the afternoon of September 9. The legendary Mai Tai Bar in the iconic "Pink Palace," as The Royal Hawaiian is also known, is where "Trader Vic" Bergeron first introduced to the islands Hawaii's signature drink in 1953. Located just steps away from Waikiki Beach, the oceanfront bar is a festive, postcard-perfect setting for enjoying the beach scene while sipping on delicious umbrella drinks and snacking on yummy appetizers with music playing. We arrived at the beachfront bar shortly after 3:30 PM and found no issue with immediately finding a table where we could enjoy the view. Although their mai tais are consistently voted the best in Hawaii by the readers of Hawaii Magazine, we didn't order the iconic cocktail. Below are what we had instead: HONOLULU BEERWORKS ROYAL SUNSET ($11) - As mentioned earlier, I was given a "Celebrate" card for me "and a guest [who were] cordially invited for a toast to celebrate at the Mai Tai Bar or Malulani Pool...[with] champagne, house wine by the glass, beer by the pint, or a soft drink." Since I couldn't redeem the card for my PINK PALACE, the waiter traded the card for this pink hued beer for DJ. I can't remember if he was given two glasses or just one for the card. Hopefully, he was given a couple on the house since you can't toast with just one...and the invitation was for two. PINK PALACE ($18) - When at the Pink Palace, you must order this famous, creamy, and vibrant tropical namesake HAND CRAFTED COCKTAIL. I enjoyed this fruity twist on the classic Piña Colada, featuring a splash of grenadine to give it the signature bright pink hue that matches the iconic Pink Palace resort. TZATZIKI BEET HUMMUS ($16) - Following the colour theme, this beet hummus was vibrantly pink. The roasted beet purée with the dollop of cucumber, dill yogurt was a refreshing dip accompanied with pita bread. BLT SALAD ($25) - This bowl of greens appeared to be small in portion size, but I was pleasantly surprised to be filled up by it. I also appreciated that the honey bacon steak was lean. Very ono. Service was friendly and informative. Prices were a bit steep, but worth it since you also pay for the scenery and ambiance. This is the Royal Hawaiian Hotel afterall. A very convenient and obvious choice when you are staying at the Pink Palace like we were.
