Home cooked Peruvian food and it was an interesting first time experience. The interior is a casual sports bar with a pool table at the entrance. It's located right across from the Olympic museum. For parking, you can find street parking or at the parking lot diagonally across. The staff is welcoming and attentive. We tried their 3 recommendation, ceviche, lamb stew with rice and beans, and Lomo Saltado (stir fried beef). The ceviche was fresh and great pairing with the plantain chips. The beef was tender, and actually reminded of influence with Chinese cuisine. The food was actually a little pricey but enjoyed the cultural experience

Came here with my husband for dinner and it definitely met expectations! We didn't experience any issues during our visit and were greeted upon entering. Our server was friendly. The atmosphere was unique in that it was a sports bar vibe mixed with a Peruvian restaurant. We shared the Bistek A lo Pobre and enjoyed every last bite. The food was what we expected for a sports bar and overall hit the spot!

The Peruvian food served was legit, and quite tasty! And the setting is quite comfortable for watching any kind of sport. Give it a shot!

    Flat chicken salad

Walked in on a Friday afternoon around 2. The place was near empty. We were greeted by a very friendly waiter and were told we could sit anywhere. We sat pretty much in the middle of the inside dining area. The waiter came and got our drink order and food order. Then, we waited, and waited, and waited. We had ordered 3 burgers and a salad with chicken. We finally got our order almost 40 minutes later, and it was completely underwhelming. The chicken on the salad was wafer thin, could have called it a chicken chip. The burgers were not flavorful at all and were obviously made from frozen patties. None of the items were worth what they were charging, in my opinion and certainly shouldn't have then 40 minutes to cook! The place itself had a small bar area and the dining room had license plates and team banners on the walls, I guess that's what classifies it as a sports bar? Final words...steer clear!

While the area is a bit small, any minor inconvenience quickly fades into the background once you see the fantastic views of the lake. My wife and daughter ordered the pasta carbonara, and my son decided on the chicken and shrimp over linguini. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meals. I ordered the veal parmesan with angel hair pasta--truth be told, the pasta was a bit overdone, but the veal itself was tasty, as was the marinara sauce. Service was great from start to finish--attentive and accompanied by a smile. Tip on parking: It's metered street parking and can be tough to find a spot, so give yourself some time to park before your meal! We spent the week in Lake Placid for Spring Break, and we could not have been more happy to find this place, especially since we had our dog with us. Lisa G's feels like the kind of place you wish you had back home. We sat out on the porch with a perfect view of the water and our golden retriever happily at our feet. That alone would have been enough, but the food made sure we stayed awhile. We started with the wings. These are true buffalo wings. Not breaded, just well sauced and done right. We also ordered the cheese treat and it completely stole the show. Feta, spices, and jalapenos over fresh arugula, scooped onto toasted bread. It is one of those dishes where you keep saying just one more bite until suddenly it is gone. For dinner we tried the shrimp tacos, which have quite a reputation. As Texas people we were a little unsure about the pineapple salsa, but it works. Bright and just sweet enough. The slaw is mellow and tangy and ties everything together in a way that feels thoughtful rather than trendy. The fish and fries surprised us the most. Easily the best fish and chips we have had in years. Real haddock with a light crisp fry and a rich house made tartar sauce that does not play second fiddle. Chance said he usually only likes fish and chips for the fried part, but here he actually liked the fish itself. That tells you everything. The fries are the kind you keep reaching for long after you are full. Our teen ordered the burger and it disappeared before we could negotiate a bite. Former picky eaters do not lie. We tried the Julian cocktail, which drinks like a confident mai tai. The riesling missed the mark a bit. Next time we would go for the sauvignon blanc or the house white. The service felt like the best version of small town hospitality. Warm, easy, and full of good local recommendations. Our pup loved it. We loved it. We will be back. --Chance and Becky All Ahead Slow

Their menu is loaded with all sorts of BBQ style food, as well as steaks and some seafood too. The décor is nice, cozy, and dimly lit. Next up was to try an order of their brisket nachos. They came out pretty quick and looked nice. They're definitely huge and I wasn't that hungry, so I really wanted to pick the good stuff, like the brisket and many of the toppings and that was all pretty good. The brisket I had was excellent! It had a nice bark and good smoke, yet was moist. Very nice experience, a place I'd definitely return to for another meal or even a drink at the bar!

Overall, they made us feel very welcome (although the inquisition about whether we were guests of the hotel when we checked in at the hostess stand seemed a little over the top). In any event, the dining room is lovely with spectacular lake and mountain views out of the large windows. Service was very good and moved at a very good pace. My cocktail (old fashioned was good). We started with blackened shrimp and potstickers. The shrimp were very good and the potstickers were just okay. The dumpling dough was a little doughy and chewy in places but the flavors were nice. My husband had a filet for his entree which he liked and my mother-in-law liked her Chilean sea bass. I had curry shrimp which was pretty good. We definitely liked the chocolate mousse we had for dessert. It's a generous portion and very rich. They took a nice digital photo of us and printed it out and my mother-in-law loved that nice touch. Overall, a nice experience since it's a lovely venue and the service is great. Food is pricey (the beef filet was $89) and although it was fine, I wouldn't rate it exceptional I think some people might take issue with that but overall we really enjoyed our meal here.
