My birthday is coming up and I was set on going back to TX to get my hair done, but after a few weeks research "again on yelp", I found "Boise Hair Studio" and I found "Elizabeth". I made my appointment which I only had to wait a week, and went in today for again trying to get the hair color and cut I was hoping for. Finds out, Elizabeth is from San Diego (I grew up in Cali), so that was a nice surprise. We spoke about what I wanted, I showed her a pic of the color, and the cut (separate photos) and she asked questions and understood what I was trying to achieve. A little less than 2 hours, and my hair came out exactly I MEAN EXACTLY the way I wanted, it didn't even seem to phase her because she is use to working with all different ethic types of hair she said, and I truly believe it. She did SUCH AN AMAZING JOB...and the cost wasn't even close to what I paid for the screw up at the other place. The day I went for an appointment half the metered parking in front of their establishment was "No Parking" mandated by the city. Instead of working with a client of many years, they insisted "15 minutes" or the appointment is cancelled and you are charged. This is so inhuman. They are based out of another state and are unwilling to accommodate clients when there are exigent circumstances, like the city taking parking away, making it even more difficult to park. I'm done struggling to find parking and being met with a lack of compassion or flexibility. It's not worth it. If you're okay with inflexible rules, lack of compassion and a refusal to respect you as an years-long client, this is your place.

Nobody looked up or said a word to me. So I figured I'll just sit here and see what goes on. This can't be for real. A girl came all the way from the back and said to me and I quote. "Do you know who you're here to see?" this was my first time there.... I just happen to remember the girls name who I made the appointment with online, and I said Rachel. She says OK and walked away. So I don't know who Rachel is of the eight people there , and nobody looked up and smiled and said hi I'm Rachel. I was blown away and just sat there watching everybody in their own world. The vibe in there was so weird. The salon is dreary and dirty. The mirrors were filthy. There was hair all over the floor (i'm not referring to the fresh cut hair from a client in a chair) and baseboards. It was something like I've never seen before. The first interaction I had with Rachel is when she was 10 minutes behind schedule. She finally looked up at me and said I'm sorry. I'll be right with you. I'm almost done. Rachel happened to be the second stylist from the door area, where I was sitting, so when I said I was there to see Rachel, she probably should've looked up and said something to me at that time. Hi Claudia nice to meet you, I'm Rachel. I'm just finishing up this client. I'm a few minutes behind. That did not happen. The First icon and communication was not until she acknowledged she was running late. The fact that they don't have somebody their greeting people is not very welcoming. I felt like walking out, but had to stay. Thank God, I was just getting a haircut. Rachel was nice. I was being quiet because I was very irritated and she told me she could tell I was nervous (because I was being short with the small talk questions) I should've said at that point- No this is me irritated AF and fuming inside, not nervous at all, but she was cutting my hair so I had to be mindful of that. I wasn't up for a small talk. I just wanted to get out of there. My haircut went well, no complaints there. When we were done she just said thanks for coming. She didn't ask if I would like to rebook. I don't know if that's just her thing or if she knew I was irritated. Basically zero customer service in that salon. What they're portraying online is not what's going on in there Pretty sure the photos online of the salon are not the photos of that salon. The walls are different. The lighting is different. I for sure will not go back and highly recommend nobody going there.
