Saw this bike shop and cafe while in town for business and knew I had to stop by. I am in my new "happy place". Bikes and Beer! I got a grilled cheddar cheese sandwich and one of their IPAs. Both were delicious. Of course, I had to also do some shopping at the bike shop itself. The staff is super-friendly and helpful.

Stopped in for a tasting flight of the ales on hand... Yard Sale DIPA (7.4% ABV) (4 stars on Untappd) SMASH Pale Ale (5.9% ABV) (2.75 stars on Untappd) Hellwig IPA (6.8% ABV) (3.25 stars on Untappd) Chamios Cream Ale (5.3% ABV) (2 stars on Untappd) For my palate - the star of the show was undoubtedly the Yard Sale DIPA - it is a full bodied, full flavored DIPA, robust and balanced in it's hoppiness! Tasty! The other ales were a little on the soft side from a flavor profile perspective. Service was very good - and the young lady running the brewery area - serving up ales and food was very friendly! #BikeLaneBrewingandCafe

    Fantastic Kölsch!

Great beer and easy to find location. If you Balikpapan it is right on the W&OD so you can stop and grab a beer and a snack. The bike shop is attached so you can get parts, rent or just look for a new bike. Nice setup and a good selection of beer. I am partial to the Kölsch

What a funky little spot. They had me at a black IPA. They have limited food - but we were just there for the beer.

Cool concept - right off the W&OD trail too! They have a nice patio right outside to enjoy your beer or coffee on a break from your ride.

Flat beer. Soup warmed in the microwave then served in the plastic container it came from the store in. Wasn't worth the trip

Service is self-serve: choose your pastries from the display cases, place them on a tray, and pay at the counter. It's perfect for a quick treat or casual work sessions. The bakery items we sampled were excellent, and we recommend: - Their new strawberry pastry was outstanding--rich and buttery, filled with vanilla cream, topped with fresh strawberries, offering a mildly sweet flavor. - Melon bread was also delightful--soft, airy, lightly sweet, with honeydew-flavored cream inside. - The tiramisu latte is rich and smooth, offering a decadent coffee experience with a balanced blend of espresso and sweet, dessert-like flavors, topped with cocoa powder.

I came here to eat something but only had their Cloud Bagel to choose from. I went for that as it was my only choice but wasn't a fan. Granted it's called "cloud" bagel, I expected it to be soft, but even when they toasted it wasn't appetizing - more like seasoned Wonder bread. The service was fine, but I do wish they had really toasted the "bagel"; it ended up being lukewarm/cold after a few minutes and still soft. I understand this is more of a cafe, geared towards coffee and pastry lovers - and maybe for that - it's good, but for those seeking a sandwich/meal/something more substantive (especially for vegetarians), this is not the place. I came here hungry and left hungry. Don't come here if you want food-food. Suggestion: add some egg/cheese sandwiches or an egg-salad sandwich like Paris Baguette. Just one or two options would suffice.

The space is unique and cozy, filled with romantic decor that makes it feel like home. The food and pastries are just as amazing as the atmosphere. I tried their rose latte, topped with delicate rose petals. It was so pretty and uniquely flavorful. I've also tried their pesto poulet sandwich (baguette, pesto chicken, tomato, green pepper, and mozzarella cheese) and it was super yum! The chocolate hazelnut pastry is a perfect companion for the coffee, and you can ask for your pastry to be warmed up, which is even better. Bonus: they serve the coffee in a cute mug, which is such a nice touch. Love when I can have my coffee in a mug! Employees are nice, and the service is great! Plenty of seating and parking is easy. It is in the general area - but according to Google maps - the Reston Metro Station is about 0.4 miles (10 minute walk) from Cosmos Cafe. Cosmos Cafe stops serving breakfast at 11:00 am - and this is stated on their menu on the wall behind the register. I've had their Cold Brew, as well as their Breakfast Burrito (Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, and cheese). Very filling and tasty! I've also had a side of crispy bacon. The Cold Brew was good as well! There is a limited number of tables to eat in at. Paid with Apple Pay. Service was good! #CosmosCafe

The salmon did not taste fresh or well prepared--it was drenched in oil, which overwhelmed the flavor. It gave the impression that it had not been cooked with much care. The avocado was fine, but there were only three very small pieces on the entire sandwich, making it difficult to even notice. Instead, the sandwich was loaded with mayonnaise, to the point where it tasted more like a mayonnaise sandwich than a salmon and avocado sandwich. Considering the price, I expected much better quality. This café has an excellent location and a lot of potential, but it seems that the kitchen is not receiving the attention it deserves. Investing in better food preparation--or providing additional training for the kitchen staff--would make a significant difference. A good sandwich does not require complicated techniques, and avoiding excessively oily fish is a basic part of preparing a quality meal. I left disappointed with the food. The café has everything it needs to provide a great dining experience, but the quality simply does not match the price. I hope the owners take customer feedback seriously because this place has the potential to be much better.
